If you think it's nice looking back on it! You should have been there! It was great, even with the trouble of the time it was the closest thing to heaven that there has or will ever be! HONEST ! IT'S really great that you like it! Have a good day!
@@johnnyreb2360 I was there - born in '48 I got just about everything the era had to offer and now I can look back and tell myself "You lucky bastard you - what a life you were offered". My only concern now is did I remember to enjoy it enough? I'm not sure but I don't know what I could have done to enjoy it more so I probably did
You have great taste. I was a little kid and only remember some of it, but I knew it big things were happening in music from the way my parents disapproved!
Lee Hazlewood is the best recording artist of all time! With his unique natural RICH TONE, No one could ever come close to his brilliant song interpretations!
Tears in my eyes as l listen to this song, bring my childhood memories, it's more than a class, music, vocals, no vulgarity, no nudity, and no new singers can do that.
The album 'NANCY & LEE" was so well done in so many different ways. The tragedy (to me) is that Lee Hazelwood died without ever receiving the recognition he so richly deserved for a catalogue of music that spanned 35+ years.. Not only did he write & produce almost all of Nancy's music, I believe he managed her for quite a while. One could fairly say he was the reason for her musical success. Also, it should be know that he discovered Duane Eddy, wrote and produced many of his early hits. R.I.P. Lee.
having read your comments ed i do so agree, lee did well to boost nancys career, especially with her powerful father watching from the sidelines great comment thank you
I love not only the song, but also the surprise in the end of the video, when she is picked up by this nice Ford Thunderbird with her brother Frank jr. on the wheel.
iT'S ONE OF THEM SONGS ...First time I heard it was in Amsterdam 1966 and I fell in love with it and Nancy...his voice was so fitting to hers both sexy sensuous and inviting
Happy Happy 80th Birthday Nancy! I thought you and Lee were great together. This album proof you were a better singer than what you were given credit for. And him Lee never got the credit he deserved either, but he was damn good as singer, writer and producer. A salute to both of you!
I was born in 1963. I wasn't listening to music when it came out first. I lived through the 70/80ties and really enjoyed this period (Punk, Ska New Wave, etc.). I also know a good song when I hear it. You will not find better. On the same level as Tubes' "Don't touch me there". Enjoy
SUCH A FANTASTIC 60s CLASSIC!!! I LOVE THIS SONG SOOOO MUCH...OLD SCHOOL AT ITS BEST!!! THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE!,SUCH A JOY TO LISTEN TO!!!
Agree. And if during the whole video, all they did was walk and sing, it would be boring. But no, every now and then he gets ahead and she runs after him, she dances while walking. And now, their's a commercial on TV that starts off with this song. I have a feeling I might be watching this video a efw more times.
I have heard this song on the radio a few years ago. It was a radio station with only modern music. I was shocked when I discovered that it was produced in the sixties. No wonder I like the song.
Que bella canción. Los jóvenes que escuchaban esta canción en los años 60 son ahora todos ancianos o ya partieron. Eso le da un toque nostálgico y especial.
last summer I woke up after a night of drink in the front seat of my 1957 Plymouth. I turned on my AM radio and this was playing.
Been there done that, mine was 1953, usually in a field of cows.
Kool😊
Oh that summer of 67....what a time to be 11 years old. Ill goback, someday.
I am 72 but this song.........Whow................
I feel like wanna get back to the 60’s and stay there forever.
Me too
Me too. But leave my dad out of the equation.
I am 64, I have been listening to Nancy Sinatra since 75. What an underated voice. What a gorgeous Woman

You know you love a song when it stays with you from the 60's to 2019. Haunting melody and lyrics.
Sorry to burst your bubble...Not really a "love" song...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer_Wine
@Sushanto Banerjee you are so right. Give yourself three bonus points.
I’m still listening in 2020. It’s that good.
@@belvinsweat7742 hell yea!👍

two voices have never been so perfectly matched... there are no words for this duo.
It's true!!!
So true, an excellent observation.
They remind me of Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan. Misty passed away recently.

What a manly voice Lee has. Wish I had one like thst

He wrote the song, so he should have known how to interpret it.
Lovely voice.

The story this video and song tells is epic. It deserves its own movie.

Magnificent song, a perfect mix of country and orchestral. Lee's rich deep voice reverberates up and down my spine.

Make sure to listen to Some Velvet Morning also. Another great duet by them. ✌
Beautiful lyrics. Actually, my key is the same as Lee's when singing.
But a shame the sound and film didn't
I love not only the song, but also the surprise in the end of the video, when she is picked up by this nice Ford Thunderbird with her brother Frank jr. on the wheel.

over the last 40 years, and Nancy is like an Angel. Truly classic.
