This must be a new addition to follow the leader. 😂If the first bike can make it, so can the rest
Facts!
Slow riding helps prepare you for instances like that.
Yes sir!👍🏾
Duck walking is 10 push ups. That’s why we practice, so we don’t have to duck walk. Great video Rob! PreLoad!
Thank you very much!
Most important, look thru the challenge.
That’s what we used to say in the Navy “wasn’t me Chief” .😮
😆
I learned this lesson from lane splitting in California.
Yep!👍🏾
This would for sure be a scary part for me to go through. It’s always great to see what’s possible!
👍🏾👍🏾
If I was on a regular bike, I'd be ok, but on a motorcycle the level of awareness and fear of damage to the bike goes up. Great advice. Practice, practice, practice!
Somebody hit it, wasn’t me! 😂😅 And we know that’s right!
🤣
Thank you so much for this 🙏🏾🙏🏾
It’s my pleasure. 😊 Thank you for watching and subscribing to my UA-cam channel!👍🏾😁
Premium coaching as usual.
Thank you very much!
Great tips Robert, something i never thought about..
Thank you very much!
Good stuff Robert! Practice makes perfect. Bike is looking sweet!
Thank you very much!
Love it! I am going to have to come to Pooler with my extra long 2013 Victory Vision Tour.
Bring it!!👍🏾
Great topic brother. Gotta be ready for any situation! This is why we practice. Fantastic video!
Thank you very much! 👍🏾
Thanks Robert good video.
Very welcome. Thank you very much!
i always love watching you videos. this actually help where i park my bike i have to go between two cars and I'm always scared that I'm going to hit one of them. thank you Rob your doing a great job keep up the good work
It’s my pleasure. 😊 Thank you very much!
Another great lesson to help us stay safe.
Thank you very much!
This is the most important consideration when lane splitting. If you don't get this right, you will not only pay for your own repairs, but for some else's too.
Absolutely!!👍🏾
Love it! Riding through spaces like that can be scary for a rider who doesn't understand these concepts or is not comfortable with them yet. When I was riding motors in DC I did that kind of stuff EVERY chance I got even if it was unnecessary for where I was going. By staying in that "practice frame of mind" and looking for every opportunity to practice something, even on duty, I was able to sharpen my skills much better on the motor. I still do it to this very day, riding places I don't need to just for practice while riding my personal bike. ( Example: Dirt paths in Pooler parks)
Yeah that was funny!🤣
Thanks Robert for providing great practical information on how we can be better and safer riders.
It’s my pleasure. 😊
Nice sir good information. The luggage on the 890 is 10 inches wider across than the road king. I would be real tight lol
Thanks! Yes you would.
I would love to see more videos of you on your police bike
I wish I had more.
excellent video....thanks.
Thank you very much! It’s my pleasure. 😊
Looking forward to your reaction on the Harley Davidson Road Glide CVO ST.
Coming soon!👍🏾
NICE VIDEO, ride safe
Thanks, you too!
Love this!!!
Thank you very much!
Greetings from Trinidad in the Caribbean. Lane splitting is isn't legal here but it is tolerated. I ride a shadow 1100, no saddle bags but i do have highway pegs, and many of my friends ride various cruisers. Daily commute sees us lane splitting for about an hour on a half each way. Its exactly as you say, modulate the grey area, modulate the throttle and feather the rear brake. Basic rule of thumb we worked out: collapse the highway pegs, if the handlebars can fit, you're halfway home. Keep your clutch level covered at all times while you navigate that tight space and and be prepared to use the rear brake more than the front. That rear brake keeps you from shooting forward faster than you'd like and even if you give it too much throttle that clutch modulation keep that power exactly where you need it. One thing we like to do when we practice is the slow race last man over the finish line is the winner. That helps us get the muscle memory needed for that clutch + rear bake + throttle dance
Hi. Very well said and on point!👍🏾
Yea I don’t think I will be trying that anytime soon lol. Great information
🤣 Thank you very much!
Just gonna say it….. our definition of plenty of room is not calibrated! 😂. Practice, Practice, Practice!
Absolutely!!
@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle are you doing anything in Daytona? Riding practice session?
I’ll be in Daytona 6-8, but just doing a Meet & Greet. However, I will be doing a post Bike Week practice session in Pooler on 3/10.
Thanks Rob ! As a kid, while riding a dirt bike through the woods , I tried squeezing between two small diameter trees. Well , my front brake lever hit the right sapling, and down I went, lol . Fast forward years later same thing happened to a friend of mine ,but instead of hitting his break lever on a tree, he hit it on one of those 3 foot flexible lane dividers we have here in the Brooklyn battery tunnel .. Luckily he didn't go down, Oops 😅
It’s my pleasure. 😊 Yeah those lane dividers at the BBT give. Good thing. 👍🏾

Robert what highway pegs are you running on the CVO?
Kahuna
what is the turning radius of the new road glide. i haven’t had it on our cul de sac yet… got to get my confidence up… without dragging pegs
It’s the same as the old one.
@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle which is? i had the road king special and could make the turn at our cul de sac but the weight and the fairing are daunting - gonna need to practice
@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle made the turn tonight! your vids helped!

Nice day in Texas so I thought I’d go out and practice uturns. Pretty bummed though because I’m pretty sure I toasted my clutch. I think I’m riding my back brake too much. 😢 I’m looking forward to you coming to Kerrville, Texas. That’s about 4.5 hours from me here in the DFW area. I’m still gonna try and make it if I can afford a new clutch also. 😅~ Wayne KX8Z ua-cam.com/video/GWGCt3A7ldI/v-deo.htmlsi=1lk0aWJSoytqkSea
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can make it.
Great video. Great excersice. Can't wait to try this, as I'm a new rider. Thank you for the video.
On a side note. Go to that field explain who you are. Show them the broken electrical box. I'd hate to see someone get shocked. From it not being securely mounted.
