fallout new vegas, super smash bros melee, metroid prime and heroes of might and magic 4 (although the latter one was rather a barnfind than a looked forward to game). i would love to list ff 7,8,9 and 10 but i went back and they did not hold up to my memories. still great but not amazing.
INSIDE: Excellent game. Abzu: Incredible. Max - The Curse of Brotherhood : It starts very simple and easy but ramps up. It's never tremendously hard, but it's enthralling all along. Rime : It's just fantastic. Worthwhile reveal at the end.
Very surprised you did not appreciate the narration/voice acting. That was honestly the best part of the game for me. The voice acting was beautiful and melancholic which fit the themes of loss and grief so very well. Take another listen…
Hey Captn. I enjoyed the video, your analysis and pacing is really good. The one thing I wish you had shown was an example of the narration (given I haven’t played this game yet)
Yeah it was good, gave it a 8.2 I didn't really struggle save for one of the bonus puzzle solving games in the menu, did experience several in game bugs like the character teleporting above a area or one game environment changing in between of loads and frame drops when going to another area (played on switch and I don't know it this was expected to run on there system as well on any other console)
It's funny how you mention the voice over taking you out of the experience, as I didn't have a particular issue with it. Agree with you that it didn't quite work for me personally, but I didn't have the issue you had with it either. I was essentially apathetic about it, but if there had been a fake language there's a chance it could've been really odd putting for me like in Banjo-Kazooie.
Yeah I get that it probably got me worse than the average person, but I think if done correctly the other language could have worked. Think more, elven from LOTR rather than the absolute goofiness that is Banjo haha
You really hit the nail on the head of how i feel about this game except for the narrative part that's the only part i disagree with i think it works for the type of game like this 😊
For the 4 dollars I paid on the eshop for this game, it's a lot better than a lot of the games I've bought in the same price range. It's no Saints Row 4 for 3 dollars, but I'm into it. The art work is great!
I couldn't agree more about the narration. I couldn't believe there was no option to just turn it off. It might have been an 8.0 for me if the puzzles were more challenging and if there was no narrator. In the end, I gave this game a 7.0 for its overly simplistic gameplay but heartfelt narrative.
Honestly I'm not the person to ask on that. I have no idea how a 5 year old would do with the puzzles. Also the themes of the game are a little mature, dealing with life and death and moving on. Not sure a 5 year old would even understand that.
Thanks! Yeah I get that. Some games, no matter how good people think they are, just aren't your style. Or for whatever reason they don't speak to you. Appreciate the comment!
@@capn_sarge I'm at the point my time is more valuable that a recommendation of a random game I guess. So I only play games that I'm looking forward too or have been following closely
oh you need another OVERWHELMING POSITIVE game to review?? Well, my dude, have you ever wanted to construct a DYSON SPHERE?!? Of course, yes, and now you can! Just buy Dyson Sphere Program and get started today!!
What game truly lived up to the hype for you?

For me it's signalis that game was so fucking good 👍 😩

Glad you enjoyed it so much! I see what you're saying about the tone but it just didn't convey that effectively for me for whatever reason

Yes a great value for such a cheap price
for me the voice actress was the best part of the game
As for overwhelmingly positive reviews, I’d say Ultrakill and Metal: Hellsinger
I'll give them a look!
@@capn_sarge granted, I really enjoyed both of them. So perhaps the praise is deserved
@@sirb0ris I'm fine with that. I'm not looking to take games down a peg necessarily, just see if they really do live up to the hype
@@capn_sarge cool. I think you're up for a good time (if you like high-paced FPS)

The graphics and game style is cuteeeeeeeeeeeee
The game definitely has a solid presentation! A nice contrast between it and the overall theme
do you think my 5 year old daughter would enjoy it, and the puzzles aren't too challenging for her?

Last Campfire is so cute, I streamed it recently on Twitch.🥺
Nice! Yes it definitely has a lot of charm
Good video but even after watching this video I've gotten zero urges to play this game .

Do Deaths Door!
It's on Gamepass so that definitely makes it more appealing for a next game, I'll check it out! Thanks for the comment!

Hmmmmm I may have to give it a shot, but I warn you I am not inclined to enjoy those types of games.
