It’s a bloody burger. Any five year old could cook that. This guy‘s sitting round there whining instead of taking care of his kitchen. When dinner service arrived, he screwed up big time, and none of the owners can be blamed for that. They may be a total mess. But David‘s a fraud all the way.
The fact that his father admits to literally stealing his sons money with no regret just shows how utterly dispicable he is, the same goes for the mother too
The irony that the owner wrote a book about his dad who wanted to force him into his business, saying that it's "shocking a father would do that to his own son" while having done the exact same thing to his own son, except his son didn't even get the chance to walk out
The tragedy is that this situation is very common in our societies. It's a vile circle in which you must break it but given the couple delusional ideas, Daniel should have walked away from them.
@@streetridersss8360 The son should have retained a lawyer and sued his parents for illegally using his inheritance( caused by the father's access to his son's trust fund). It seems like a straightforward case to win and if the son had been able to go that route right at the opening of the restaurant he would have been saved from so much pain, stress, drama and heartache. It was always in his best interest to walk away from his parents and cut them out of his life; for his own health and well being.
It really is astonishing how much Gordon invests personally in these little restaurant stories. Even going so far as to read this nutcases book. He really does have an insane amount of heart.

Update weather you want it or not: Burger kitchen stayed open for about a few months however it slowly reverted back to the old restaurant. The reviews went from mediocre to bad and the burger kitchen closed soon after the episode was filmed. Another restaurant was opened in the same spot but soon closed down afterwards. Now, a new restaurant is in its place and is striving until this day. Daniel sued his parents, presumably for the 250,000 and won it. Finally, Allen saffron died of a heart attack in 2020 aged 70 (I think).
I'm happy for Daniel! Being manipulated, stolen from is horrible especially when they're your parents. I hope he is doing better now. Appreciate the update.

Dads rotten to the core so it makes sense. He looks like one of those old men that has bad B.O. and always smells like cheap cigars or something. I think the chef hit the nail on the head too. Dad is a drunk. Probably why his son put him behind the bar on the relaunch. Probably thought I might have a shot of keeping him behind the bar where he will have alcohol to drink and it worked for awhile and then he started catching a buzz and then he was out with the customers spraying his bad breath everywhere 🤣 Then he had to come to the kitchen and start running his mouth. Perfect example of a old drunk. You have to tell him several times the same damn thing! Smh
Chef David was an absolute LAD. He made this episode one of the most entertaining there has been. He also had that cockiness and tenacity that makes for a good chef! (Gordon gave his burger a 9/10 I mean come on!)
And then, he completely screwed up dinner service the same night. The guy’s a whining fraud. Any five year old can cook one single burger. When a chef was needed, he crumbled to pieces.
When Gordon is around crazy things happen. If he came into my house I wonder if I would spontaneously start admitting to felonies not even I knew I committed.

Gooood i hate how chef David was framed this episode. He cracked under the pressure and snapped, but its VERY apparent how justified he was, just like how Daniel was justified for being a wreck after dealing with the same narcissists all his life. It feels like they want you to feel bad for the parents because "chef david goes after ANOTHER member of the family" like jesus.
Nah, I see it different. Chef always owned up to his messes, even admitted that he snapped and took his firing without question. Even when he was firing at Old Hag and Thieving Dad during the final pay scene, he had enough clarity to identify the sources of his discontent. I even agree with his last statement: "Meth Heads!" 😅
I don't think he was framed poorly at all, the whole episode makes the parents look terrible I don't get how you got the feeling that you were supposed to be sorry for them.
“Wendy, why are you so nasty?!” Says the lady who stole a quarter of a million dollars from her own son, fell asleep during an important meeting with Yelpers and is one of the most toxic women I’ve seen on this show, just under Amy from Amy’s Baking Company. Those are parents from hell.

They were convinced they were missing something because, after all this time, they still didn't believe they had done anything wrong by stealing his inheritance. It's unbelievable how deluded those two were.
Yeah but he did one thing those father never really do. He admitted and asked for forgiveness. This dude has balls. And F u if you think otherwise. You are digging you children's grave. The hardest part of this episode is the fact that David was clearly the MVP of the whole restaurant. - It's also quite tough watching his cooking being criticised when you can see how much he cares about it.
Nah, the deeper story there was that the family was making do with a pastry chef because they kept driving all the chefs away. Even if the recipes sucked; the bloke was still couldn't ensure the basics like the food being cooked properly. He was out of his depth even though he could cook a decent one-off burger.

Gen is the biggest problem in this episode, like seriously. Even though the episode itself seems to be focused more on the father and son situation, the biggest underlying problem was definitely Gen. She used the fact that she's an old, frail woman to gain sympathy almost all the time and when things doesn't go her way she tried to act hurt, like bursting out of the restaurant when she argued with david. In the theatre she acted that she fell asleep bcs she's not interested in listening. She's just interested in winning arguments so she feels that she's right. Also she acted like David's burger was bad and almost puked it back out even tho chef ramsey himself said it was good. Said that it's "too strong" or something but then again when ramsey cooked a burger, she ate a lot of it. Now there must be differences but i doubt Ramsey's burger is mellow enough for her "medium rare girl" taste buds. She knew what a good burger tastes like from the very beginning but for some reason she wont tell alan that his taste is shit and dont want to admit David's burger tastes good bcs she wants to be in control. I have a feeling they've dragged him into a number of situations he wasn't comfortable with all his life but ruining his 20's when he could have made his own way was just peak toxic. I hope Alan managed to fix his relationship with his son before he passed away and Daniel managed to find his footing in life
I'd rather hope that this former oxygen thief managed to pay every cent he took from his son back before he died. May he rot in hell.
and the book from Alan felt like a personal insult to Daniel
I doubt they had a good relationship before he passed, Danny sued his father shortly before his death.
Good in him for suing. People like the parents can go straight to hell with their manipulative bullshit.
Idk man, firing the 1 chef that knows what to do seems like a mistake to me.
“What is that STRONG taste I’m tasting?’
It’s called spices, Karen
😂😂😂😂
LMFAO!
If there's ever been a Karen, it sounds and looks like her.
Needs more mushrooms
Enough with these stupid ass Karen comments. 🤦
I love how Jen is crying victim after David showed his true cooking skills whilst Alan is just chewing on his burger 🤣
Jen: "what is that strong taste that I'm tasting"
Flavour Jen, thats called flavour.
you stole that comment you TRAITOR
LMAO literally what I thought
I screamed SEASONING!!!
I screamed SEASONING!!!
My favourite line in this is “how could a father do that to his son” but then proceeds to take over a quarter of a million dollars from his son without him knowing
Daniel's girlfriend is a GEM. The way she hops over the table to hug him when he was crying almost brought ME to tears.
😂😂😂😂
@@alexanderlemus8223This is not funny.
She’s a full blown crack head lmao
She is clearly a coke head who is only after the money.
Truly a lovely woman😭
I can only hope to be there for my partner as she is♥︎
"Mushrooms are important to me..I'm from Poland" 15:16 as a polish person is funny to hear that when she gets mad for putting wine to the mushrooms kekw
I wish Gordon had done a surprise “I got my lawyer to set up a lawsuit to give Danial full ownership”
If I had Gordon's reputation and millions, I would have definitely done that. Or just reimbursed him the whole amount.
I hope that he did indeed won his lawsuit and got his money back.
The hardest part of this episode is the fact that David was clearly the MVP of the whole restaurant. - It's also quite tough watching his cooking being criticised when you can see how much he cares about it.
Why didn’t David produce good burgers then after Gordon tasted it ? They were all part to blame
@@sss63763 because clerly gen is a demensional old shit that wanted him fired also you seen how f uped the whole restaurant was.
@@sss63763 they have to follow owner's recipe for a dinner service.
Nah, the deeper story there was that the family was making do with a pastry chef because they kept driving all the chefs away. Even if the recipes sucked; the bloke was still couldn't ensure the basics like the food being cooked properly. He was out of his depth even though he could cook a decent one-off burger.
@@sss63763as Gordon has said in another episode: if you’re given shit tools to work with you’ll produce shit food. He was working under immense stress and scrutiny of the owners, not being paid properly same as his other chefs, and working with frozen crap burgers. Could he still have produced decent frozen burgers? Probably but the other factors add to the issue.
wendy doesn’t have to defend her boyfriend so viciously but she does. that’s the kind of partner i’d want by my side
What's even more impressive is that Danial quickly proved why she's standing by him. First glance at the guy I said, he's got no hair and he whine's about his parents - why is this girl with him. Well, she obviously saw through all of that and was spot on. Cheers to both and on getting their money back.
Cause she wants that 250K.
@@SunShinyDaysPlease All signs pointed to him never getting it and that's not enough to attract a woman unless she thinks she can literally get all of it.
@@SunShinyDaysPlease You mean the money he doesn’t have? You think she’s only standing by a broke guy only for money?
C’mon, get your head out of your arse
@@SunShinyDaysPlease leave it to a man to only think about the money
“Oh that’s Allen. I know him. He’s a meat sculptor”.
Said no one ever.
I love how Gen smirks and throws attacks at David but then acts like a little kid , makes faces , starts crying and leaves or makes up bullshit on the go when shit is being thrown back.
She is the type of person to throw punches , get pushed and start screaming "THEY HIT ME , I AM A VICTIM! HOW DARE THEY!"
Honestly happy for David that he managed to expose them , prove himself , get his money and leave that shithole. They didn't deserve him.
he was licking his top lip too much.. i'd say he like coke

*THE CHEF WAS THE BACKBONE OF THE BUSINESS, AND YOU FIRED HIM* 😂
Least hes doing well now, I’ve heard 2 stories, one is he owns his own restourant now the other is hes went as a pastry chef again at the Mission Inn Hotel, either way, Im glad hes doing good cuz he defo deserves it more than anyone at that hellhole
Right lol I get the son was going through a lot of crap but the chefs life wasn't great either
"He has been working on uhm.. the *spirit* of getting payed."
How on earth does one come up with that? 🤣
LOL I feel bad for everyone in this situation.... the owners are so out of touch with reality and genuinely feel like theyre just being attacked. The son is clearly traumatized by the familys betrayal and chaos. The poor girlfriend tryna save her mans sanity... and the chef being undermined in his every move. SMH I think this place closed down for the best, I hope Daniel has found his own way.
"Its hard for a father to admit he's wrong, and I admitted it." He is literally such a narcissist. You want a trophy? You don't praise yourself for that
Jen is the karen in motion. Idk if she is pure evil, but she is during the first part. Here is a dedicated time stamp for her because she is remarkable

51:42 She got chilled from the sfx
52:34 POG face
56:03 that eyebrow while her husband is speaking about his wrong doings

51:54 cringing in action. Maybe just spasm
1:15:02 bread is great. (wow, what a great bakery I thought)

What a witch😢
Is that you chef Blaine?
Dont forget the evil smile around 38:53
Also...
39:12 "I'm NOT on Prozac, dear" and then David retorts with the OBVIOUS "You SHOULD be!" 😅
And Alan had the nerve to write a whole book about how HIS father mistreated him and turned his back on him. Clowns.
His dad was a crime boss.
Ramsey is partly chef in this and full on social worker and family psychologist. I watched nearly every episode of kitchen nightmares and used what I learned from him to fix the relationship between my brother and my dad. It's still going on and so stressful but Ramsey advices and his moral kompass and compassion gives me guidance. This man deserves a medal and all the best in the world for being such a decent human, it's unbelievable he can pull his magic even in this situation. Just gives me hope to get through to my own "stubborn fucker" like he would say. Much love and appreciation, you're a role model!
Ikr! He’s doing so well with people, Some need to be pushed and yelled at, like, when they’re supposed to deliver excellence but only come up with excuses. Others need a hug or just someone to listen. Or someone to teach and praise them for doing well.
I had no idea how kind and empathetic he is until I started watching this show.
"What is that strong taste that I'm tasting?" That's called good food, lady.
"My son has a great deal of resentment toward me, and I don't know why..."
*MAYBE IT WAS THE QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS YOU STOLE FROM HIM*
HONESTLY THOUFH- I literally had to pause the video just to make sure I heard that right- like holy shit-
Bet he ain’t paid taxes for it either SMHH, leaving his son even more screwed than he already was.
Bitter irony about the book he wrote about his own father lol history repeating itself and no lessons learned
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
I feel like there's a very telling moment at the table, when Danny bursts into tears and says that they're all killing him - Jen gets up and I think she's about to comfort her son, but instead, just adjusts her seat. Wendy, on the other hand, *climbs over* Gordon in order to give Danny a hug.
Idk, just seems indicative of their priorities.
Yeah. Gen is a stuck up narcissistic evil manipulative cowbag.
Wendy on the other hand is a real one. She's got her mans back through thick and thin
These owners are terrible, prime location, beautiful restaurant, very talented staff and they had a lot of money backing them. Insane that they blew the place up so fast.
How is Daniel saffron doing now
not "so fast" it was right from the start . cowboy burger - $39 ! come on who'd pay that for ground beef ?
and it was crap anyway
@@bobsaturday4273 I’m being serious
@Shirotera 1601 well at least that's a good thing. Dude probably hates his parents for life now tho😂
The parents are fucked in the head its clinical sociopathy at this point and they are dumb as hell to boot so the business is doomed the day it opened i feel sorry for daniel he got shafted 250k without his consent by his sociopathic idiot of a father.
That chick was the personification of the "My boyfriend said no pickles!" meme.
Its diappointing that Daniel and David clashed just cause of circumstances, but they both had the potential to get the restaurant back on track together
I totally agree but after the threat he absolutely had to go.
Like come on she just wanted to blame it all on someone else, anyone, whoever it is.
P.s. 1:10:28 my fav one liner😂 dudes a lovely guy for sure
Yeah, you can clearly tell she didn’t like the chef in the slightest. I mean she seems very manipulative who knows she may have possible persuaded Allen into taking that money from their son.
Shes just manipulative. Even manipulating the husband whos already out of his mind.
@@hasknight9749 The only thing to do with meat he’s qualified in is eating it, and even then there’s no accounting for his taste.

@@aeshahvaservices like all narcissists she is a parasite. No respect to give out yet she expects everyone to fling it at her. Constantly using the frail old woman excuse too. No need of it at all. Daniel telling his Dad to just stay at the bar for their reopening, only to watch his Dad do the complete opposite was the hardest cringe. The definition of "you had ONE JOB".
Exactly and no one wants to smell his breath while trying to enjoy a meal 😂
I love that Daniel believes that David is trying to scapegoat him by complaining about the tickets, and tries to pin it back on the kitchen staff, when the rest of David's chefs, the servers, Wendy, AND GORDON all think the ticket system is a load of shit.
Like dude, nobody is blaming you, but it's obvious that to the people who have to make and serve the food ON the tickets instead of yelling out the orders, that there's a problem with the system.
If Gordon Ramsay gives your burger 9/10 you know you did a good job.
