At about 58 minutes in I’ve never wanted someone to get slapped so dang bad! calling one of the most famous chefs in the world a disgrace to the industry like holy guacamole!!!!
It's shocking how low the standard is in American restaurants. It's truly disgusting and unacceptable they get away with it being health hazards. It's no surprise Ramsay has a field trip in that country.
The production team approaches failing restaurants that are so bad that they know it will make great TV. The ones presented in the show are horrible, but that doesn't mean it's an American norm. Furthermore, Ramsay has a "field trip" in the US because the show makes a ton of cash.
@@bikegypsy268 It's not so much the norm as opposed to the minimal quality standards. And the show can make money regardless of being in the USA, so I'm not quite sure of your point there.
Zeke's doesn't feed their staff?!!!!!!! I've never heard of that! I've worked in several restaurants and there was ALWAYS a staff meal before service and in one of them they fed us after service too! In a couple of the small places I got to order off the menu for my meal. Unbelievable to disregard thier staff that way!
most restaurants do this so staff don't bring food from the outside to avoid cross-contamination in the kitchen. The kitchen can be cleaned hourly, if someone carries in a nasty piece of spoiled chicken for their lunch and stores it in the fridges, they have to throw out ALL THE FOOD kept nearby! It's a hygiene issue as much as it is a labour issue.
I worked at many restaurants that were too cheap to feed their staff and as a result I couldn’t even talk to the patrons about the food because I’m clueless about how it tastes.
@@ashley.taylor174 snap I worked at a restaurant like that, it shut down - we lost custom to the chain restaurant (not fast food, actual restaurant) across the street as they sold lattes for £1 and we charged £3 for an americano with cream as boss refused to sell anything other than americanos when it came to coffee (yeah I've no idea why)
They wanted to do well but got lost in a deep whole they were both such sweethearts who just needed some help and reassurance that they are not failures. Poor men i hope they’re okay now
When he was cleaning the fridge trail while crying and saying "Im only making it dirtier. I cant take a break, Im lazy as it is" I could literally hear my hear break into pieces.
I sincerely appreciate Gordon’s ability to act. Most people are unaware he’s actually an extremely kind, polite, and genuine person. He’s merely playing an exaggerated caricature of a ‘celebrity chef’. With that knowledge, it makes the show even that more entertaining. If he didn’t become so popular, at such a young age, via his cooking & success as a restauranteur, I’m positive he could’ve been equally successful in the acting world 💫
A POEM ABOUT KITCHEN NIGHTMARES: Gordon went to the usa to help restaurants who've lost their way. The food is frozen fresh from the can. This makes Gordon an angry man. The owner has an ego trip. The chef is lying having a kip. The owner doesn't seem to care. So here's a Scottish chef who likes to swear. The customers don't want to eat the food. It really does sour the mood. Now they'll cry and call Gordon a saint. Because the production team gave the walls a new coat of paint.
2:44:15 "That isn't smoke, it's steam. Steam from the steamed clams we're having. Mmmm, steamed clams." "I thought we were having steamed clams." "Doooh, noo.. I said steamed hams." "And you call them steamed hams despite the fact they're obviously grilled."
Abby forgot to apologize for being so rude and swearing at Gordon. You owe him a huge apology. Thank you and sorry are two words hard to leave her mouth.
I don’t understand why people don’t fire employees like that, he’s not only incompetent but also disrespectful. As an owner why would u put up with it and PAY THEM!
I always thought Gordon is more mouth, but having run restaurant and other businesses, I can say he is absolutely no nonsense approach. He must have some dutch genes being so upfront. Well done. It is really inspiring....
the twinsss im crying they really were just two dudes who bought their childhood favorite restaurant for fun they never claimed to know anything about running a business i love them
Please I can't be the only one to notice that in each episode the nastiest psycho owner after saying the most horrible things suddenly says 'ok i want to change, I'm with you'.... magically, with apparently nothing havent happened in between to explain them laying down their weapons. So my question is : who gives them the special talk off camera to turn them around ?
i think you ment devil from Downcity? i think when she snaped at Ramsey in front of owner the owner had deep talk with her. it was very strange indeed but only logical explanation.. neither that or boot. and possible sue if it affects his daily job due to her poor managing.. this is what i think happened
@@AnonimatosTMnot even just the owner's daughter. She's practically an owner herself! Like Andre clearly has already mostly given up ownership to her and Alex. Like she's the co-owner. She's his boss. He needs to check himself
i'm astonished they put so much emphasis on the food blogger! her following was barely a hundredth of what they said it was! impressing her wouldn't have done anything for the restaurant!
Why do they all say “ill do anything to change and get this place running “ but dont change the obvious self explanatory problems specially after the customers and staff bring it up to them and then all of a sudden gordon comes around and “omg u changed my life by making the obvious changes i ignored myself” 😂😂😂
23:11 it’s bittersweet how clearly Gordon doesn’t like the dish, but doesn’t want to bash it bc Michael rly was trying and didn’t want to bring him down
The twins stayed open for 8 good years, but eventually sold the business. They gained a colossal amount of weight and their health declined. What a huge shame they couldn't deal with their eating disorder!
It sounds crazy, but I really empathise with Michael. Having that much responsibility dumped on you, then being verbally beaten when you make a mistake or ask for help, it really is overwhelming and soul crushing. I guarantee that's why he gave up and why he had such a volatile temper. The sad reality is that whether things turn around or not, that'll stick with him for life, constantly pushing himself to breaking point in the hopes of finally being good enough while constantly doubting himself and wanting to give up.
I totally felt that. I hope at some point someone gives him a "you got this buddy!" because you can tell he really wants to do a good job and beats himself up about it when he doesn't.
Its also lack of respect that gives him that temper he snapped because hes an owner too yet they were treating him like the help. His brother has a more assertive personality and he tends to over power his decisions. Then his mom just blames michael without really knowing whats going on.
No he was an asshole. He is literally the only reason that the progress was so slow. Burnt out is one thing but not talking to your boss is a new level of disrespect. He can be glad that he was not kicked out. I would’ve. Open your f*ing mouth and talk! A grown ass man can’t even say to his boss what his problem is while everyone puts in the work to change? He is responsible for the other cooks, he is not alone. If he can’t do his job he should leave or step back. If I would behave like that at work, I would be on food stamps He can’t handle critism and doesn’t question himself. He relied on the family drama that he won’t lose his job because of Alex. He is not an owner of that restaurant, he is an employee. If he would own it he would care and put in the work and start communicating.
Michael explaining about all the food in the walk in: "I wanted to be ready!" Ready for WHAT - ARMAGEDDON?? END TIMES?? A RUSH OF 509 PEOPLE COMING TO YOUR RESTAURANT IN ONE NIGHT???
Just one of those whole fillets are worth about Aus$60, don't know about the US - so can you imagine the amount of money tied up in those fridges alone? Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Man, the Capri episode was epic! At first it looked like Tweedledee and Tweedledum have materialized but then Gordon torn away the blanket they hid under. Jeff and Jim do have problems that reach back deep. The problem with tough love: it´s a faint line between cracking open the cocoon and breaking the suspect. One week of guidance might not be enough to overcome 40 years of doing twin jokes. They seem like good boys- I hope they make it and get their self esteem established. Thanks to Mr. Ramsey, I always thought he was just a cocky basterd who likes to boot camp people.
I absolutely detest people who aren’t capable of admitting that they can be wrong, but I hate people who teach others that admitting any fault of your own I somehow a weakness even more. Oh yeah, and people who sarcastically “admit” errors can go straight to hell. The first step to fixing any problem is admitting that there is a problem.

Have you tried the lasagna? It's my favorite. What grade are you in at school?

You get some horrible restaurants all I’ve rather world
That and the stuff people put in the food like the additives that are banned in the EU because they are literally cancer
Free market innit \_(ツ)_/
What kind of restaurant doesn’t give a taster session to their new staff?
Watching Jeff cry really hurt my heart. They seem like sweet guys who just got in too deep :(
Man and now Jim is crying :( They need to be taught how to clean and have a cleaning routine :(
They wanted to do well but got lost in a deep whole they were both such sweethearts who just needed some help and reassurance that they are not failures. Poor men i hope they’re okay now
When he was cleaning the fridge trail while crying and saying "Im only making it dirtier. I cant take a break, Im lazy as it is" I could literally hear my hear break into pieces.
When was this episode made, in 2010?
@@MiguelPinto-k9i “Capri was aired on May 06 2011, the episode was filmed in January 2011 and is Kitchen Nightmares season 4 episode 10. “
I sincerely appreciate Gordon’s ability to act. Most people are unaware he’s actually an extremely kind, polite, and genuine person. He’s merely playing an exaggerated caricature of a ‘celebrity chef’. With that knowledge, it makes the show even that more entertaining. If he didn’t become so popular, at such a young age, via his cooking & success as a restauranteur, I’m positive he could’ve been equally successful in the acting world 💫
Exactly. This is pure theater. It's as if no customer thinks it's strange huge cameras are following people everywhere? Come on
I've never seen a set of twins looking so much like the actual tweedledum and tweedledee from the story books. Not just looks but how they act.
Zip it poofter
They really lean into it, but Jeff looks better than Jim
Twins jeez
Oversized toddlers.
I’m surprised they haven’t been sued for copyright infringement yet
A POEM ABOUT KITCHEN NIGHTMARES: Gordon went to the usa to help restaurants who've lost their way.
The food is frozen fresh from the can.
This makes Gordon an angry man.
The owner has an ego trip.
The chef is lying having a kip.
The owner doesn't seem to care.
So here's a Scottish chef who likes to swear.
The customers don't want to eat the food.
It really does sour the mood.
Now they'll cry and call Gordon a saint.
Because the production team gave the walls a new coat of paint.
10/10 stellar work sir
Wonderful.
masterpiece
That is amazing.
😢 it hits the feels
Those twins are like pure cartoon material , i truly enjoyed laughing at them .
Like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum in the beginning 😂
Yep, Tweede dee and Tweedle dum
Lost my appetite if I see people like that cooking for me though
My heart is sooo warm seeing the delightful ending for La Frite. Got teary eyed. I wishhh they flourish a looot. Beautiful
hes not there to insult them. he is there to HELP them. they are so delusional
2:44:15 "That isn't smoke, it's steam. Steam from the steamed clams we're having. Mmmm, steamed clams."
"I thought we were having steamed clams."
"Doooh, noo.. I said steamed hams."
"And you call them steamed hams despite the fact they're obviously grilled."
I love the servers in this show, they’re always so fed up and ready to spill
As long as I live I will never understand how there can be multiple people constantly busy in a kitchen and not have any food being produced.
Abby forgot to apologize for being so rude and swearing at Gordon. You owe him a huge apology. Thank you and sorry are two words hard to leave her mouth.
When you a boxer and Mike tyson gives you tips you fucking listen..if you in food and ramsey gives you tips you fucking listen
Le Frite: I would have fired Martin a long time ago. His disrespect for Celine was so uncalled for..
He just ignores her. The kitchen gets backed up and people are leaving.
I don’t understand why people don’t fire employees like that, he’s not only incompetent but also disrespectful. As an owner why would u put up with it and PAY THEM!
@@malooskitty9124 I feel like Celine felt like she couldn't fire Martin without retaliation from Alex (and maybe her father too)
They're already blogging!
This line made me laugh so hard haha
every time i see a reupload, i pretend ive never seen it before lol, makes it more fun to watch :)
I always thought Gordon is more mouth, but having run restaurant and other businesses, I can say he is absolutely no nonsense approach. He must have some dutch genes being so upfront. Well done. It is really inspiring....
It's the Scottish part cause we don't take no shit and we let people know
@@RizPlaysYTgaming no glory in being uncouth & having no diplomacy...
The Dutch would do no such thing and way more passive, it's him being a Scot that makes him like this (meant as a compliment)
He doesn’t do this in the British version though. He ramps it up for the American audience. It’s a bit of an act.
@@marcowashere1615 As a Dutch, we absolutely would
the twinsss im crying
they really were just two dudes who bought their childhood favorite restaurant for fun they never claimed to know anything about running a business i love them
I fell asleep to watching true crime……then woke up to Michael and his brothers arguing in the kitchen now I’m invested
The bank 🤣
Agreeeeeeed 🤣🙌😵💫
what about the full on confrontations by Ramsey? They have pride but their situation is desperate.
That would be the production team. It's a show.
i think you ment devil from Downcity? i think when she snaped at Ramsey in front of owner the owner had deep talk with her. it was very strange indeed but only logical explanation.. neither that or boot. and possible sue if it affects his daily job due to her poor managing.. this is what i think happened
Ramsay discovers a walk in full of rancid food.
Owner- you’re a disgrace to the industry
In La Frite, I really don't understand why Martin was so ignorant and uncaring. Honestly if it were my restaurant, I'd of replaced him.
From the day he wanted to walk out, that one hates change
Kind of ridiculous that he just ignores the owners daughter and nobody sees an issue with that.
Tbf it's like 2012 or something
I think the idea was to set expectations for VIPs, the actual following wasn't what mattered but that there was one to worry about at all
The suspense with the blogger was soo funny 😂😂 it's like they had to come up with a suspenseful sidething lmao "SHES BLOGGING AS WE SPEAK" 🤣
2:23:03 YOU BIG FAT NOODLE 🤣🤣🤣🤣 gordan kills me
It never ceases to amaze me when arrogant owners don't listen to Gordon when he tells them that the food is under par!
Did she really try to say Americans write peppers with 3 p’s? 😂😂
you did
There are three Ps in peppers my guy
Well, technically there are 3 P's just not necessarily in a row 😂
Ppeppper(p)s are delicious
Uhhhhh guess what?
"I'm not going to walk, I'm going to stand up and shout" 🤣🤣🤣
Is it just me that thinks when Gordon ramsey puts on his chef's whites he immediately commands more respect.
As he should
Imagine being in a restaurant eating and then start hearing gordan Ramsey shouting.
I love the cooks at Zeke's! They have some serious talent and it was being wasted! I hope they're still cooking wherever they are!
Why do they all say “ill do anything to change and get this place running “ but dont change the obvious self explanatory problems specially after the customers and staff bring it up to them and then all of a sudden gordon comes around and “omg u changed my life by making the obvious changes i ignored myself” 😂😂😂
Shout out to everyone involved with the decision/effort to bring us these marathon videos. Top notch.
Hells Kitchen channel needs to hire the Kitchen Nightmares operator, this channel is amazing
23:11 it’s bittersweet how clearly Gordon doesn’t like the dish, but doesn’t want to bash it bc Michael rly was trying and didn’t want to bring him down

2:52:21 The disappointment on the owner's face when Chef Gordan liked the pudding he aint happy his chef can cook lol

All episodes were recorded in Egypt and most of the owners are in the Nile.

Gordon: "Did someone die? Did someone pass away?" Well, there's a dead Lobster in the tank!
18:19 that Lobster devolved into an isopod lol. 😂
The comments chef Ramsey makes when you walks away at the end of the show are hilarious 😂 😃 😄 😁
I'd never wait for more that 30 - 40 minutes for my food in a restaurant! I am shocked they waited 90 mins!
It’s because they are on a tv show and have been told to stay there by the producers.
I was just passively watching this then the part with Jeff came up and took me by complete surprise. That hit hard.

If I would behave like that at work, I would be on food stamps
He can’t handle critism and doesn’t question himself. He relied on the family drama that he won’t lose his job because of Alex.
He is not an owner of that restaurant, he is an employee. If he would own it he would care and put in the work and start communicating.
Gordon: "The only thing fresh in this kitchen is that pigeon!"
Pigeon: "Thank you, Gordon😎"
(Not my joke but it needs to be said)
“We have too many people saying it’s overcooked. Shall we cook it less?”
Too many wrong people start restaurants for the wrong reasons.
It all comes down to greed and not passion

Not really, most don't actually care about the business since they are just employees. But happier customers give bigger tips.
That boxing scene was ridiculous 😂😂😂

Every programme makes me cry - real human stories - brilliant Ramsay
They both honestly seem like they might be on the spectrum. Something more going on there.
1:29:31 has anyone noticed that the quiche is already on the table, then it magically comes back out and put in the same place 🤣🤣🤣
They definitely make mistakes with the editing.

"Chef" : Are you sure you don't like raw chicken?

I absolutely detest people who aren’t capable of admitting that they can be wrong, but I hate people who teach others that admitting any fault of your own I somehow a weakness even more. Oh yeah, and people who sarcastically “admit” errors can go straight to hell.
The first step to fixing any problem is admitting that there is a problem.
