Chappy had to close his restaurant in 2013 after not paying taxes. He blames this on this episode in a National Enquirer article. He then opened another restaurant in Nov 2013. That one closed a year later in 2014. In 2014, Chappy opened yet another one in 2015 in New Orleans. A year later - closed. In 2016 he opened "Rum Kitchen" which lasted this time - until 2021 when it was sold to a different owner.
Chappy took the definition of insanity literally. Fucking hell, he's probably a scammer with all the restaurants he opened 😂
This is the exact case when one can say: "The problem is him".
Chappy is hilarious and I'm tired of pretending he is not.

Ramsay comes to disfunctional restaurant with egomaniac chef, they fight and then they pay crazy money to renovate the restaurant, chef struggles to cook new menu and the restaurant goes for sale for good many, because it is brand new. That is 90% of Kitchen Nightmares.
No it's not. More like 50% or less. They can cook the new food, but they make the choice not to cook the new menu after the show leaves.
A solid chunk of them definitely knew what they were doing lol.
So no one is gonna mention that Chappy's wife looks like Willem Defoe in Poor Things.

What the hell kind of “chef” dips their fingers in something, and then licks it off…and keeps walking around in their freaking kitchen, without even thinking of washing his hands?? Let me tell you, not a properly trained one with any idea of food sanitation, that’s for sure! And the big ass hat is so he looks better trained and more professional..but he’s overcompensating for sure!

To be honest, I’ve worked at Boston Market, with no chef and we had properly stored and clean walkins. We labeled everything and everything had a date on it, when it was made,a and when to toss it.

Chappie in UK looks like ground up pink plastic sponge and smells fishy. Even my black lab cross refused to eat it and they eat anything!

I'm from a Houston super suburb..several New Orleans eateries and chefs relocated there after Katrina. None of them struggled from the locals not knowing Cajun cuisine. Chappy would've blamed them too .even tough others still succeed 18 years later.

This was one of the bet moments of all his shows, when the line cook comes in the walk in and Gordon grabs him, ''Come here you!'', ''Now fuck off!'' The dude's like, ''Yes Sir!'', no questions asked. Anyone that knows the business and cares about food would act exactly like that dude with a chef like Ramsay. If he came into my own restaurant, and if he pointed things out I would act the exact same way, however, I would never operate a restaurant like this. There must be nearly 1% of his customers at that restaurant that have been sick with food poisoning. Since food poisoning works differently in everyone, it can take many days for symptoms to first show up, and they could last for days - even YEARS, and nobody would know what made them sick. It is hard to detect certain toxins unless you are specifically looking for it. In addition, health inspectors are spread too thin, and the health department only responds if a restaurant gets 3 or more hospitalizations in a 72 hour period. In New York City, it's a 9 day period. Be careful people.
Jesus, lord have mercy, this place is my worst nightmare. I have a severe seafood and shellfish allergy. The last thing I would expect is my beef cooked in the same pan as fish. I always ask when it comes to chicken or anything fried if it was done on the same cook top, pan or oil as seafood or shellfish but I wouldn't even think to ask about beef because I've never ever seen it cooked on the same top let alone pan as fish.
