Adding in one extra self-care mission this week, woo hoo! (I explain why in today's video) Which do you choose: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5? 😍🫖🫧 Don’t forget our pact… I am here for you three times each week and you comment on every video. My kids would love me to get to 100,000 subscribers so if you would Like, Subscribe or share in a decluttering group, hygge group, that would be very much appreciated! THANK YOU! 😀
2, got a tulip plant🌷
Diane awesome motivation!😇🌸🩷 Thank you again for making our beautiful planet 🌎 a better place! Happy to know you keep your family’s privacy a priority. 🩷 Best wishes to you, your family, friends and all your followers. 🩷🌸💙😇
I will be doing all the self-care missions in one way or another 😊 Going to try scones with dried blueberries. I love lemon curd too so I plan to make some to go with the scones. Thank you for the inspiration Diane! Rah rah rah, you will get to 100k subs this year I believe ❤
The vegeta can be used like stock powder to add to soups, stews, casseroles, stirfries etc or like a flavoured salt on hot chips, popcorn or any other hot fried food etc. It's a lovely flavour. Very delicious. We used to use it a lot but have moved on to Organic Celtic sea salt for the incredible trace minerals and organic stock powders now such as Herbamare certified organic herbed sea salt which I've been finding even more delicious than the Vegeta! But play around with it and enjoy some new flavours for yourselves this week!!! 😊❤
Love these chats! Today I saved it for bedtime while I did some stretching. Self care decisions this week were ready made for me. New ingredient: rice paper for banana spring rolls for a celebration tomorrow. Appointment: the mammogram bus comes to our school and I will make an appointment Monday. Funny aside is that we are avid blue painter’s tape users in our home. We date things for the fridge and freezer…so much so that our Indonesian exchange daughter is determined to take blue tape home with her in July to continue the tradition! Glad you do it as well! 😊
KaDee from Seattle,
I always come back after finishing my evening routine, to sit in my cozy chair with a cup of tea, an read all the kind comments that people leave you. I can't believe you don't have a 1,000 followers, So I would just like to say to all the people out there Subcribe.
She's more than just a coach she feels like your friend.
🎉Rah,Rah,Rah.
KaDee🎉
So true❤
Thank you for being here 3 times a week for us, Diane. I always find your videos inspiring
She is really lovely isn’t she. We are lucky to have our coach!
Ye, so lovely and we ARE lucky that she is there for us. 🩷🌸🩷
*Yes*
Yes! I would be out of luck if it weren’t for her!
Thanks so much for your videos. My husband passed away three years ago and he always bought me tulips for Valentines Day. I will be carrying on the tradition by buying myself some beautiful tulips. I will also be planning a few spring outfits.
That was very thoughtful of you to include that fifth self-care mission because many can feel alone on Valentine's Day.
You deserve thousands of followers, Diane❤ So many people could benefit from your good vibes ❤ Thank you for everything you've done to lift my spirit without even knowing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
#5 My friend’s 92 year old mum broke her hip & moved into an assisted living. I’m going to bring her some nice Spring flowers to brighten up her new room.
I have gutted my kitchen and cleaned as I went. Painted the inside of my cabinets. And repapered my shelves. What a wonderful week. I decluttered 2 totes from the kitchen
Wow! 👍
Great job, and more inspiration to the rest of us.
As a crafty girl, I ended up with quite the collection of decorative washi or paper tape a few years ago. I love using that and sharpie markers to label things! I’m on a “use it or lose it” mission with all my craft supplies. Thank you, Diane! ❤️ Much love from Texas!
You have touched so many people's lives with not only your tips and encouragement but also your precious personality and enthusiasm. Thanks so much.💐
I have watched and learned from you since you had fewer than 5k subscribers. You deserve at least 1million!
🙏😍
My dearly departed maternal grandmother was about as Scottish as they come! She is my link to Scotland, with her forebears tracing back to Robert the Bruce and more. She never cared for haggis, but she was a culinary wizard with mincemeat pies. My grandfather (English/Irish) would go hunting in the Maine woods and bring back some form of wild protein for her to work her culinary magic. To this day, I still get a little misty when I pull out the worn little recipe card in her handwriting to make a mince pie. Takes me straight back to my childhood when she would teach me to sew, to cook, and to tell me tales of her own childhood.
Thanks again Diane, you always keep me motivated. I have been watching you for nearly 3 years now, you have changed my life. My home looks amazing and I cope with the balance of work and home due to the fly lady system. I started with baby steps and I am still here, it feels like I have an encouraging friend ❤
Me too! Started with her teaching us the FlyLady baby steps and she keeps me motivated! I love that she brings us all together and keeps us going. 🥰 Cheers to you! 🌸🩷
Yes I feel the same ❤ very grateful for Diane's guidance and encouragement ❤
#4 💇♀️. “I can vs. I should” so brilliant!
I almost didn't comment. I'm sick and feeling very unmotivated. The next time i get up I'm going to trim my cut flowers, change out the water and put them in a smaller vase. Thank you for your boost of sunshine, Diane! I appreciate you!
Get well soon
I look forward to Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a dose of cheerfulness! Thanks, Diane
Aww, how kind of you, Karen!
Thank you, Diane! I love listening to you while I tidy up! I appreciate your positivity!
Ah, Diane, you are so much fun to visit with! 😊 I hope your weekend is fantastic!! See you Monday ❤️
You too, Rebekah!
Happy Friday! Thanks for the videos. Sorry I normally forget to comment because I watch these while I'm doing my dishes. Your encouragement is very helpful to me and I really appreciate what you do.
Thank you! You too, Jennifer!
Thanks, Diane! I am really liking the new 3 video format!
Yay! Thank you!
Hi from New Zealand. I just want to say thank you for all your motivation and accountability in this new format. Also thank you for acknowledging the southern hemisphere whenever you talk about seasons ❤
KaDee from Seattle,
You made it hard this week to choose from all 5, so I did a little from all.
Set out spring tea towels an little bunnies in the kitchen, put together spring clothes, made Drs. Appointments, an bought some Valentines chocolate for me.
Thank-you again great choices.
Have a great day,
🎉Rah, Rah,Rah.
KaDee
Doing what I can vs. what I should (or even what I want) is much needed advice to me today. I have been dealing with sadness due to a close family member dealing with end-of-life struggles. Since I have been traveling away from home off and on since the first of the year, it's been a struggle to keep up with routines. Zone cleaning is non-existent, WHB is spread over the month rather than the week. Very far behind with LOLs, especially when I come home and empty my suitcase. The doing what I CAN really applies to LOL because I stopped sorting according to color. I am just washing whatever is on top and working my way down. 😂.
Kitchen routines are a struggle, but a huge payoff . Fortunately, my pantry and freezer winter-stock-up is saving me from grocery shopping during this family emergency (instead of a weather emergency). Bathroom routines have been surprisingly easy because they have become automatic. The declutter bag at the ready keeps that going. So, my kitchen is in need of a zone clean and all my floors need a steam clean but I only have time for vacuuming and spot cleaning. Good enough but still feels cringe-worthy.
SELF CARE, by far, makes the biggest difference, especially SLEEP and WALKING OUTSIDE. So good for depression. Also keeping my massage therapy and dental appointments in spite of family pressure to put them off. Eating at a cafe instead of cooking has been a big self care decision.
Chicago temperatures have been running above normal so I am going to do the spring outfit challenge for the next suitcase I pack. I am learning that starting with shoes and outerwear makes it easier to coordinate the other pieces for maximum flexibility. And always pack extra underwear and extra top in case I need to extend my trip one more night. This time will be spring colors with (type 3) avocado and coral shades .
Thanks for your patience with my ramblings. Just getting it out in a comment makes me feel better about how I am handling the stress and justifying the self care .
❤❤❤ Keep up the inspiring work Diane. You are making a difference.
Hugs to you, Eileen, thank you for sharing. So sorry you and your family are going through this hard time. ❤🙏❤
Self care makes a difference, too, you deserve it! I love to read the comments, feeling related. Greetings from Germany❣
I’m glad to see your example of self-care during such a hard time and so much pressure. Thank you for sharing!
Self care at stressful times is so important. I have heard it called the oxygen mask in the aeroplane principle - you must put on your own mask before helping others. I was a single parent divorcee and thought to myself ' If I fall apart - who is going to take care of the kids?' So I often prioritised self care. This too will pass. Look after yourself.
@@lynnoorman2144 Thank you, everyone.
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺
You have had such a big impact on my home and routines
Hi Diane! I have a nice library list going on with the book recommendations that you give us. I want to make my home more hygge so I love the tips you gave. My self-care choices are1, 2, 3, and 4. I see Valentine's day as too commercialized along with you. I usually just make hubby his favorite breakfast (French Toast). That's my way of celebrating it 😆 The other day I was cleaning off a spot in my kitchen as we got a new coffee maker. I had these old candy jars with lids I was storing under in a cabinet. I shopped my home and I used those to store our pods in next to the coffee maker. just slapped some labels on them and Bob's your Uncle. It looks so good in our little coffee corner! In the past I would have went out and bought something to put the coffee pods in. Thank you so much for all you do Diane!
I love hearing about traditions in Denmark! 🇩🇰
My selfcare was a haircut and a new book, and a walk in the snow. It was wonderfull. Rest of the day I tryed on spring and summerclothes, put together new combinations , made a pile for give away, and a pile for my tailor to make some changes ,and made a shopppinglist . Looking forward to go shopping for new fresh summerclothes. I am so ready for spring⚘️🌷🌞
We are here in Florida for a few months to escape the Midwestern winter. We are renters (although we will likely buy this year, woo hoo!) but every year, the first time I go to the grocery store, I buy a nice big candle to keep us cozy. Thanks, as always, for your generous heart, Diane!❣
Diane, Thank you for another installment of tips and great ideas. I truly enjoy watching you, so cheerful and joyful. I totally respect your privacy for your family, so important. Thank you for sharing all your self care suggestions as well. i so appreciate all your positive and encouraging content. Have a blessed day and week.
Hi, Diane. I'll be taking myself to a coffee shop, getting a special drink, and reading. What a self care treat!
sorting (and decluttering!!) some old bills while watching - Yeah! Go me! Thank you, Diane!
Hi Diane! 🙂 Decluttering is going slowly because I have little energy. But I do declutter every day. A little is better than nothing.
For next week I choose number 4 for self-care. I'll book an appointment with the dentist and the pedicure.
Have a nice weekend! 😃 Live long and prosper. 🖖
My self care mission will be booking in a massage to reward myself for all the house painting I have been doing. Thanks for chatting to me while I got some dishes done as well as cleaning the cupboard under the sink.
Thank you for being here three times a week. Your video is the highlight of my day. I planted a sage plant in my garden a couple of weeks ago and as a self care mission I will use the fresh sage from my garden in a new recipe.
I decluttered my tupperware drawer and may I say "what a difference I feel every time I open that drawer" . We used to joke about the drawer of doom😂. Well drawer of doom no more.
Thank you for explaining the upkeep and zone cleaning again. I tend to get overwhelmed so easily.
Lots of love, Olivia from South Africa
Keeping the kitchen, the construction crew are coming next Monday and everything has to be clean out and boxed! Great time to clean out, thin out and donate! Also, making dr appointments! Thank you for your enthusiasm and encouragement!
❤❤ I don’t feel left out on Valentine’s Day but I will certainly treat myself to a bunch of flowers on the 14th as my self care. Have also made a doctor’s appointment. Will be going out tonight with great friends to see a dance performance ❤️❤️ Enjoy that lemon curd, Diane. Crusty bread, tooth butter and lemon curd 💛🍋 Heaven.
Loved the comment about writing letters to her children....beautiful ❤️
My husband bought me some beautiful flowers, so I am going to enjoy those in the house this week. I also sent a Valentine’s Day card to a friend in another state.
Saturday I will be spending the day with a group of crafting ladies and taking time to quilt as part of my self care.
So Happy to have found you and all wonderful friends here! Happy weekend🩷🩷🩷
Hi Diane! I am watching on Saturday, as I work outside the home M-F. I try to watch during the week and declutter but lately I’m in a slump and by the time I get home I’m deflated and low energy. I’m working on this through increasing my time in nature and getting my exercise back on track. Also, I lost my Mom in October ‘22; we had been housemates since 2016. I miss her so much and I struggle with letting go of her things. I’ve downsized and it’s become necessary to pare down. I also know it will bring me peace. I have looked at your coaching times (I’m central time in Texas) and think that although it may be early morning, doing that might be beneficial.
In the meantime, my self care pick is Mission #3 😊.
PS - years ago Mom and I took a trip to Sweden and Norway (my grandparents were Swedish). Your videos touch my heart in a familiar way and I thank you for that. ❤
I love hearing how things are done differently in your part of the world. I’m in the USA and in 2 weeks I will be traveling outside of my country for the first time! Excited and a bit nervous! ( the whole “fear of the unknown). It’s 72f and sunny here today, such a beautiful day!!
Having a mini break away from home ,so just able to sit and watch today. Self care mission 3…as I’m away I’m going shopping for some new outfits…much needed. It will help bring my wardrobe together.
Bright flowers arranged in the kitchen to cheer up a dreich day! Thanks for self care missions.
Next week-both bathrooms. YAY. Self care, haircut. I am so enjoying your year of podcasts. Have shared videos with several friends. Hope you reach 100,0000.
Watching you for inspiration while I am working in my bedroom. Hope you are having a great week!
Yesterday had a podiatrist appointment, hair appointment next week and a Dr. appointment the following week. We really don't need spring clothing as we don’t get a spring. Even in April we can have a snow storm. If we are lucky we may get a few months of warmer weather during the summer. I am longing for nice weather so I can open my windows and let the fresh air in, alas it won't happen anytime soon as we are buried in snow. Thanks for all you do and all the effort you put in to bring us the videos 3 times a week.
Ever since our older kids rather read to themselves than be read to, we make it a point to let them have some time to read before going to sleep. Of course they can do this by themselves. Only our youngest cannot read herself yet. But most often my dear husband reads to her. I used that time to get some daily tasks done. But you inspired me to try and get everything done before their reading time. When I get done in time I can go and snuggle up with them on the sofa to read myself. It is such a nice time. The kids enjoy the company and I am motivated to get my evening tasks done ASAP.
I so enjoy your Friday chats! They really help me think about the things I need to focus on next week and I always enjoy hearing the answers to the questions you get. For the self-care mission, I choose #4. I already called the salon and scheduled for a hair cut next week. On Monday I will call my doctor's office and schedule a pneumonia vaccine. Both are overdue so I thank you for the extra push to get this done. Enjoy your weekend, Diane. ❤
Happy weekend everyone!
I look forward to your videos 3 times a week, so grateful for your time and sweet personality! For my self care. I have booked a massage next week.🎉 Enjoy your weekend!😊
Thanks Diane. Self care this week will include a swim and a haircut as well as a trip to the library.
Thank you! The self care challenge reminded me to get a valentine for my 101 year of grandmother. ❤
Wonderful, Melissa!
A fun program today! fist time I ever saw a bicycle traffic jam ( the only time actually) was in Copenhagen.Starting to get the rhythm of the weekly tasks, the Monday & Wednesday sessions are vey helpful. Getting the house tidier has made it very much more comfortable to be in !
I’m going to buy myself flowers this week as a valentines treat!❤
It’s always nice to have your company while I do some chores- dishes today. Started War and Peace recently for my bedtime reading self care. 😅
I’m so tired today that I decided to pack away my piles and do a general tidy up. My mission is to plant a new herb. I bought mint from the grocer. I have cut some stems to grow my own.
Thank you for this video! We have been having a warmish spell here in my part of the USA and it will soon turn cold again with snow. I am going to cut some forsythia branches for forcing today before the buds freeze. Also, the snowdrops are up so I may make a small bouquet of them to place by my kitchen sink. This is self-care for me. I love seeing flowers in the house, it brings me such joy.
Got my laundry folded, a little bit of Diane sunshine and self care #4. Whoot, whoot!
The bil wardrobe almost done! Such a difference, some small sentimental things left. Thanks for inspiration!
Thank you for another great video. I love your new 3 times a week format.
Hi, Diane, I love to read comments every time, so much fun, inspiration and feeling 'like minded'! This time I like ALL self care missions so much… I’ll FINALLY book a massage, having a massage gift card for about a year now🙄…, buy a BASIL plant for the kitchen, because the fresh one is so much better. For 'Valentine for myself' I don’t even need money, because I’ve a gift card for a big cosmetic shop, I otherwise never would have entered… I need new outfits, because the weather is changing all the time, 2 days ago we had 4 ° C, yesterday 14° C with heavy rain, today spring time 12° C with sun… I feel like I’ve a heavy jet lag and think some colors like pink are needed to lift me up. I love travelling the world with new recipes… looking for new ingredients on a regular basis in Asia shops, Indian shops… thank you for sharing all these ideas, love Monika❣
Me too❤
Just did #2..cut 10 daffodils from my garden. Today's video gave that a jump start..otherwise the daffofils would have stayed outside a few more days. There are many out there that haven't bloomed yet. So now they have space to bloom...and I hygged and beautified my kitchen. Thanks Diane!
Janet where do you live?
Northern California
I will be paying attention this week on my pamper basket for my selfcare mission. I'm buying myself some small things to put in there and shop my house for the rest and putting together a new pamper basket!
Flowers for me, a little useful gift for my sister. Tidied while I listened 😊
Number 2. I like the three times a week format. It gives me three boosts and I can see some results/effects. Thanks for what you do.
Great to hear!
Don’t forget to spoil yourself if alone on Valentine’s Day! Thanks 1:06 Diane !!!!
I was a couple days behind in watching the Friday video ❤ a couple of self care I am trying to make sure I put on a brooch to my Church outfits and for Valentines gave a little gift to two friends and picked up a new top for me - I really appreciate your videos they are always inspiring- you have a beautiful personality- God’s love and blessings ❤
I am doing self care mission no. 5. I have invited family for a St. Valentine's lunch on the day. It means that everyone can join in and feel the love❤🤗
I just bought a beautiful faux rose for my living room and I booked a Dr. appointment. Love the three videos!❤
I need every single one of them, LOL! My mom and I just decided to start getting our nails done again. We live an hour and a half from each other so it'll nice to get together every other week for this
I really enjoy lemon flavours too. I make the same dessert when we have dinner guests but with a slight variation. I add a few blueberries to the layers and I make it in crystal wine glasses to add a bit of glam 😁
'Make an appointment with the dentist' raised a wry smile: I tried that in November, and the earliest they think they'll be able to see me is June!!! So my self-care will be buying myself a little something for Valentine's Day.
Hi Diane. I love the three times a week format as it's so easy to follow along and it's really clear what the focus of the session is. Thanks for helping me to whip our home into shape 😁✨
Buying myself some tulips for my birthday on Friday! And letting my daughter cook that night, hooray!
#5 for me... chocolate covered strawberries and a bunch of red tulips 🌷🌷🌷
Love your posts Diane! I always watch for a few on my phone so I can like the video. I usually watch on TV. Thanks for all you do!
My outdoor daffodils and tulips have started coming up. I'm so excited for spring.
I enjoy your “fun facts” and learning about different countries.
Dear Diane, I will do self-care missions number 1,2 and 4! Thank you for the good ideas. It does not take much, even a few minutes can feel so appreciative.
Putting a tea cup from my grandmother in the kitchen for one higgle item and treating myself to some special chocolate from the candy shop. Not due to Valentine's Day but because I keep saying I'm going to that sometime and now is the time!! Thank you for all you do!!
Hi Diane
You'll surely reach the magic milestone of 1lac subscribers. Wish you all the best... very few youtubers here who are so genuine and who don't add ads in the middle of videos. And who really are out there to make a difference in the lives of others. Thanks a ton. Stay blessed
My self care mission this week is No. 2.
Have a nice weekend
Thanks for the video. The three videos a week is working wonders to motivate me. Your jar of lemon curd has triggered a simple dessert that I'm going to ask my daughter to make to take with us to lunch tomorrow with the in-laws. Lemon dream dessert. Also my self care this week was a new haircut that was long overdue. Thanks again from Kaila in Australia. 😊
Forgot to comment but I just got my thank you from someone who received their Valentine from us. Amazing to get things out in the mail with young kids, germs etc and this year we made pencils into a bouquet of tissue paper flowers for my son’s class. So fun and I never would have had the time or capacity before FlyLady and you @dianeindenmark thank you!
I am going to book an appointment with the chiropractor because I haven't been able to fix my neck pain on my own. Love the community you have built here.
😊Just doing what I can. 😊
I choose the shopping my wardrobe for new outfits 😊 Thank you Diane for being an inspiration
I love these q/a sessions. I love hearing your thoughts. ❤
I have some pink tulips in my kitchen and picked up a special chocolate treat for myself for Valentines day.
I will be making two appointments. Both which I have put off far too long. A hair cut and chiropodist appointment. Also, treat myself to herb/plant. Thank you, Diane for these 3 vlogs per week. I feel I accomplish so much during the week, then Friday is a visit with friends and a little spoiling for me.
Happy Week-end, everyone! 🇨🇦
Loving the three times a week schedule xx thanks for all the videos!
Masking tape tip for freezer! Brilliant 🤩
Fun to hear you talk about Eurovision! My kids and I watch Sanremo (Italy's music festival) and Eurovision every year, and we TRY to watch as many other national finals as possible- but it is tricky from the USA!
I finished decluttering and reorganizing my walk in pantry, and I keep just standing and looking at how beautiful it looks 🎉
Love this 3 vid format, Diane! Planning on doing 2 & 3. 🌱💐👖👚 Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I called and made an appointment with my orthopedic doctor and one with my dermatologist. I have been putting these off for ages!!
Thank you for helping us get things done! I love how break things down to manageable tasks/assignments.
Thank you for elaborating more on the zone cleaning. I’ve been a little confused on that too. I also really appreciate all the fun facts and Danish words you sprinkle throughout your video! ❤ I’ll take missions 3 and 4. Have a lovely weekend, Diane!!
I will do #3. Thanks for another week of inspiring videos, Diane. Have a good weekend!
Thank you Diane. I dont know how you do it but evrytime I watch one of your videos I find myself looking around a few hours later and realising what I've accomplished with just a small effort. I also had a massage this week and tried a new recipe ❤
My 8 year old son decided we would create new outfits for spring! Thanks for the ideas and cheeriness!
