Scholars usually divide the history of Stoicism into three phases: the Early Stoa, from Zeno's founding to Antipater, the Middle Stoa, including Panaetius and Posidonius, and the Late Stoa, including Musonius Rufus, Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. No complete works survived from the first two phases of Stoicism. Only Roman texts from the Late Stoa survived.

I'm truly glad to hear that the video has been a part of your healing journey. Overcoming heartbreak, generational curses, and childhood trauma is a significant and challenging process, and it's commendable that you're actively seeking ways to heal and grow. Stoicism, with its focus on resilience, acceptance, and personal growth, can indeed offer valuable perspectives and tools for dealing with life's hardships. Remember, as Epictetus said, "We cannot choose our external circumstances, but we can always choose how we respond to them." May you continue to find strength and healing on your path. 🌱💖

"Simple Living and High Thinking" has been my Mantra for over 45 years.

Thank you for sharing your mantra. Your dedication to "Simple Living and High Thinking" embodies a core Stoic value: finding richness in simplicity and depth in thought. At 75, embracing a tiny house reflects the Stoic pursuit of a life unburdened by excess, focused on the essentials. Keep living your truth.❤

The woman settled herself on the bus seat with a small sigh. She felt grateful as warmth returned to her face and hands. The bus was filling up quickly. The woman hoped no one would sit by her, but a woman with a large backpack sat close beside her. "O man!" she thought of how uncomfortable these situations made her. The woman then thought of the stoic wisdom she had been reading. "What is it about the moment that is unbearable?" She realized that the moment was not so unbearable. "In this moment, all is as it should be." The woman felt calm and left the bus at her stop. "Thank you, stoic wisdom." she thought as she stepped forward into he4 day.

try get good at noticing the voice being bad or good
"bha we could eat a cake"
      "bha why exercise"
      "bha its not my fault"
and lisent more the david goggin voice
      "lets go, just do it"
      "fitness now, nutrition now"
cake is poison, alchool is poison, cigarete is poison, i love my body too much to poison it
wealth is freedom, i dont give my wealth to unessential to then be slave to unessential not having wealth to enjoy time
time is limited, i cant afford to sell it or waste it
so many people are literaly victim to their own untriaged unnoticed unobserved thought
materialistic karen eating cake not exercising crying where are billionaire men to milk while devouring tousand animal vicitm corpse
"bhoohoo poor me where is my castle, prince, billions"
they are ensalved to their inner whining hope and no action and no solid manfestation.
thye prefer dream about manifesting, than literaly manifesting it physicaly. eating well, exercising, working hard, earning hard, saving smart
but they dream , eat bad, dont exercise, whine at work, spend alot
they live hell, and dream heaven
i grind hell and live heaven.

You can recover and it can happen quickly.
As of right now I don’t have a friend in the world, just narcissists and their co-conspirators, this includes local, small town, law enforcement. My own mother, whom I’ve always been close to has cut me off as well.
Right now I have a vindictive wife fighting tooth and nail in the court system, social media and otherwise to destroy me. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease this summer and have been suffering for 20 years with severe Crohn’s disease. I also am being treated for skin cancer, melanoma. I have had an Ostomy bag for 20 years. I’m living in a group home where I’m neglected and abused.
I’m no longer on psychiatric medications. I’m dropping my blood pressure medication next week and my Parkinson’s medication next. Other than that I take a bunch of vitamins.
On my 50th birthday last Friday, I ran my first 1/2 marathon, another 3 days later. After a bit more than 3 weeks of training I am logging 50 miles a week. I’m registered for my first marathon in early April and I will run a 3.5 hour time, which puts me in the intermediate category. Running a marathon is something no one can EVER take away from me. I don’t date, but I’m extremely good looking for my age, no gray hair, funny and handsome. I’m a semi-professional professional comedy writer and musician. I have a bachelors degree in chemistry and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I’m reading Marcus Aurelius and Senica. Science Fiction and Shakespeare.
I’m joyful and thankful. I have no shame, anxiety and sleep like a baby. The devils unchained forced this lifestyle upon me and I’m grateful to them for it.
The haters will never help, the narcissists would have you murdered, if they thought they could get away with it, but the innocent, but timid, co-conspirator bystanders will help from time to time, only in secret. Always remember, God and karma are on yours side, Fortune favors the bold and God hates a coward.
“Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know.”

I firmly believe the next step in natural (biological) human evolution is to learn to use our higher faculties more prominently, having control over ones actions, but still feeling, just not being controlled by emotions. amygdala hijacks becoming a thing of the past.
In that regard our brain hasn't really changed at all in the last 3000 years, so I'm not sure on the timeline for this (maybe technology helps us with this, bur then it's artificial, not sure if that matters), but i do feel its the natural progression.
I would go so far as to argue this could be the purpose of life for a human (biological evolution). And as such living your life with the sole purpose of mastering higher faculty self control, and sharing your story or teaching others once achieved is, imo, a noble and worthy life path, possibly the highest there can be, due to the potential impact
I also expect that some will achieve this way ahead of their time, for example if you can achieve full higher faculty self-control now, in today's world, your life experience would probably be fantastic
It comes with a interesting questions however such as how will the world look and how will the human experience change as a result, because we're such emotional beings as it is rn, and the world is a byproduct of that.

life is the best of two half's or the better of how we understanding life as a mixed blessing or which man is or becomes the true sum of all the values he embraces. That is the truth of how we are liberated from the limitations of where we live and the world around us for we grow beyond them.
“I can endure all these things through the power of the one who gives me strength.”
“Taste and see how good the Lord is! The one who takes refuge in him is truly happy!”
“So what are we going to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?”
    but ill add
Philosophy does not promise to secure anything external for man, otherwise it would be admitting something that lies beyond its proper subject-matter. For as the material of the carpenter is wood, and that of statuary bronze, so the subject-matter of the art of living is each person's own life.

Embracing the values that shape our character, we find liberation from the confines of our circumstances. Stoicism teaches that true strength lies in mastering our own inner world, finding contentment amidst life's challenges, and realizing that external factors are beyond our control. As Epictetus wisely said, 'Philosophy promises nothing external, for its domain is the art of living, and therein lies our true freedom.' 🌟 Team Stoic Evolution
