😂😂😂
I wish you had formatted the book in a sensible format. The fonts are too small and hard too read. Also, I wish translation to have been as closer as possible to original content.
Come with narration of more stoic writings like this one
thats awesome. Great job. Thank you
Thank you 🙏🏾🛐
Paying $15 for a modern-version audiobook of meditations and then finding this is a great way to practice stoicism.
How ? Is it a way to control your anger or reflect on your choices before committing? See through all your options?
😂😂😂😂

Marcus Aurelius was a good vegan man who stated that animals should not be harmed. Marcus tried his best, each day , to protect the innocent and be an example of love.
This video is a remarkable history.
@@ThatVeganTeacherUA-camare you aware of how many animals are killed in order for you to have a vegan lifestyle? If you want to kill the most animals, go vegan.
@@ThatVeganTeacherUA-camMarcus Aurelius was not vegan, no stoic was except maybe Musonius Rufus and he was vegetarian not vegan. There has never been a stoic argument for vegetarianism, Marcus contradicts himself twice in meditations regarding (chapter 10; chapter 6) meat and Seneca was a vegan in his youth but later ate meat when he practiced stoicism
Stoicism teaches that we should concentrate our efforts on things within our control, such as our thoughts, actions, and attitudes. External events and other people's actions are often beyond our control, so it's essential to accept them with equanimity.
All Cops in America should be REQUIRED to take classes and Tests of this! And live by these concepts.
I listen to this EVERYDAY. Thank you for doing this
This is how I summarize it for me:
Seems like he starts from the framework that there may exist a higher power, and it’s best to live as such. If there is a higher power, you have to have faith there is a larger purpose. If there is a larger purpose, we all have distinct roles to play. Find that natural role and constantly consider how your role and decisions impact everyone and everything. Your rationality and natural intuition are your tools from the gods to play your role. If you make wise decisions, you did your part and you did good. And in the end, don’t fear death because it’s a natural progression of a never ending cycle
I didn’t know how bad I needed this. So glad it came up in my recommended.

This is so good. This translation is as modern as it gets, which makes it remarkably relatable despite how much time has passed since this was written. The visuals and subtitles are perfect. Just so good, well done thank you for your contribution
What we do echoes through eternity. What amazing wisdom I am hearing through the ages.
This whole production is a 10 out of 10 the narration and visuals flow perfect together. The visuals have alot of detail and are well thought out. It is to me a movie/book that puts you into the story . I would recommend having a notebook and pen while watching it .The picture quality looks like something out of Big budget hollywood film. Marcureanism: Daily Listening
Principles can't die; they can only be forgotten.
I resolve to remember my principles, to dwell upon them,
and to fan my thoughts into a fire that will not be blown out by
the winds of circumstance.
My thoughts, opinions, and interpretations are all in my power to choose. Why, then, am I
continually entertaining worries and fears?
I will not allow things outside my mind to to affect my mind. I will
not let external events shake and shatter my inner peace.
I will not waste my energy on things outside my control.
I will return to my principles and renew my life.

Meditations was written to his son while on war campaign. He didnt know when or if he would return.
As a dad, without knowing this, I immediately knew it was for his son. It's definitely dad advice.
@@Regular_Folk as a dad, a son, a philosipher of sorts and a fellow human being, I find it the most enduring piece of information about any philosipher or prophet. No where else is someone giving advice to a family member let alone a son to a ceaser.

@@jasond869 Hail Marcus Aurelius, Long live Marcus Aurelius
Physically yes, but not really dead. For a man that thought everyone would be forgotten quickly, his spirit has lived longer than near all others. Julius and Augustus names remain as months etc, Pythagoras as a theory, Homer as poems, this is the spirit.

Is there somewhere we can read this translation in text format? This is immaculately done!
Hi @proteusblack8913, I have just released the text as a PDF. You can get it here: bookvox3.gumroad.com/l/jijcs
At 44.28 the art work shows people listening to a speaker. Look at the upper left of that graphic. You will see a man who appears to have three arms. One left arm is on his left leg, the other is musing his chin.
What translation is this? I like it very much. (Does not sound like Gregory Hayes version)
