I think that shifter is a B&M QuickSilver. An old girlfriend of mine (she wasn't old, it was just a long time ago, LOL) had one in her 69 SS396 El Camino which had a 350/T400 in it, unfortunately. It was kind of a pain to work, but once I got it, I got it. Yours might be old and schticky though. Those tires, man! Cool! I dig first gen F bodies. I'm pretty partial to the 67's wing windows, no marker lights, steel seat backs. A Muncie 4 speed and and high strung solid lifter 327. 12 bolt posi! LOL. They're all cool👍 nice find Mortske
Morske, I learned a long time ago (because I'm bigger and older) to just pull the front seat, throw down a rug and lay down, sticking my head near the pedals and legs on the back seat. Makes visual and two opposing thumb access gooder.
Not a bad car ! You definitely did great . My friend still has his first car its a 69 Camaro ss convertible all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately someone took out the original engine but wOw the prices are crazy for these cars ! I'll make sure to post it on your Facebook page .
Thanks Mortske, another bucket list car- this youtube thing is starting pay off! (maybe? probably??!) I like it a lot, it's crazy what they're worth nowadays!
Camaros were ruined for me by meathead jocks in my Ohio hometown. Yours is just the right about of rough and reliable power - classic package with the roadster on your trailer. Living the dream - congrats and thanks for sharing.
Drilled and slotted rotors, not sure if someone already commented on this or not, but you are correct with the way you installed the rotors the first time... It looks wrong but it's the correct way. Because the veins on the rotors are actually scooping cool air from the outside and discharging it towards the rear..

Great video . Bought a 69 Camaro in 71 when i was a JR in high school with 12,000 miles . bought it for $1900. At 72 now i still kick myself in ass for getting rid of it.
Great video. I loved the way you took care of the fiberglass. Continuing to pray for you to get records straight on the truck, as well as reimbursement of expenses.
Haha this brings back memories, I used to sell Andrei Mitsubishi parts back in the early 2000's at Team Mitsubishi later sold to Cable. That car actually looks like a fun one hope you enjoy it.
I like all three years, but personally prefer the 67. I like the no side markers, and wing window. Wish I could have kept mine. Can't wait to see what you do with this.
Old down & dirty nova I got they tubbed 'er and trimmed that flair off to hang the bigger meats. Running a 9" in it. Had an inline 6 originally too, but that got swapped once upon a time with a 454 whose block came out of around a '75 truck according to the starter it has.
Matthew's solo cam sticker. I bought those caps for my 72 nova. Use DA on the discs to get the squeak out. My high school auto teacher gouged his discs with a screw driver in a X pattern to stop the squeaking. Hopefully you moved the car and didnt step in that steamer
You probably should have used the dish soap to avoid the squeaky brakes, ha ha. My 1st car was a 67 Camaro convertible. Lots of great memories. I really enjoyed your video. 69 Camaro is definitely the most desirable. I like yours as is , I had bet 305 horsepower when you all were betting. Thank you.

Thanks! Will do!
She's a beaut 👌👌👌
Cool! I dig first gen F bodies. I'm pretty partial to the 67's wing windows, no marker lights, steel seat backs. A Muncie 4 speed and and high strung solid lifter 327. 12 bolt posi! LOL. They're all cool👍 nice find Mortske
Yayyy!!! I’m the first comment!!!😂😂😂
You sir , are a very talented individual !!
@@stevewhyte8476😂😂😂
Morske, I learned a long time ago (because I'm bigger and older) to just pull the front seat, throw down a rug and lay down, sticking my head near the pedals and legs on the back seat. Makes visual and two opposing thumb access gooder.
Not a bad car ! You definitely did great . My friend still has his first car its a 69 Camaro ss convertible all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately someone took out the original engine but wOw the prices are crazy for these cars ! I'll make sure to post it on your Facebook page .
Awesome
Thanks Mortske, another bucket list car- this youtube thing is starting pay off! (maybe? probably??!) I like it a lot, it's crazy what they're worth nowadays!
Camaros were ruined for me by meathead jocks in my Ohio hometown. Yours is just the right about of rough and reliable power - classic package with the roadster on your trailer. Living the dream - congrats and thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure
Drilled and slotted rotors, not sure if someone already commented on this or not, but you are correct with the way you installed the rotors the first time... It looks wrong but it's the correct way. Because the veins on the rotors are actually scooping cool air from the outside and discharging it towards the rear..
Interesting
Pudden , you and uncle Mortske should combine forces and call shop Uncle Mortske's starter repair shop and fabricating❤LoveJIM J&R MOBIL SERVICE AND GOD BLESS Y'ALL AND YOUR CRITTERS
Love it buddy! Can't wait to see more on this old darlin. Ls is the way to go in my opinion with a car like this. Great car.
More to come!
Always great content sir, yes LS swaps here to stay. Been stalled on mine for past few years in one of our 67 Chevelle wagons. Starting on it again, just new work schedule and other customer jobs been slowing it down. 01 L59 5.3 4L60 3:31 posi , manual steering and brakes . Was able to use stock column shifter, should be killer daily here soon. Alaskan fan Northernnomad..
Awesome
What a sweet Old Camaro! Damn! It looks so cool unrestored! Great Video!
agreed
The steelies look absolutely killer Mortske , and by the looks of it Duff likes it too. You most definitely need to make a limited run of 69er shirts . Cheers 🇨🇦
Noted
Nice find.....both you and Duff seem very happy with this one ! I hope your doing well...and we shall see ya next time!
Thanks, you too!
Love the dyno videos with "Abel Racing".. always amazes me that the same motor that's in my "grandpa" 2000 silverado can be " tuned" and sound so good with a decent exhaust and some bolt ons😊
good dudes!
Hi Mortski and Duff and his Pop and Chin nice Camaro and video 📹 and workmanship
69 Camaro all around was a good year. What’s with Duff? Back seat driver or does he not dig bucket seats. He loves rides no matter the where he is sitting.Great videos as always.
Depends on his mood
My ls swapped 84' cutlass has 706 heads as well. From what I understand they're halfway decent so at least you got that going for you
Good to know
Great video . Bought a 69 Camaro in 71 when i was a JR in high school with 12,000 miles . bought it for $1900. At 72 now i still kick myself in ass for getting rid of it.
Damn!
Another great video Mortske! I miss the Duff dog and Mojo and Chinn oh is it in your name yet? No more jail for you
Good stuff.... good to see everyone....like the Frost Poly Green paint....thanks...🔧🔧👍
our pleasure!
Great video. I loved the way you took care of the fiberglass. Continuing to pray for you to get records straight on the truck, as well as reimbursement of expenses.
Thank you
I'm not sure who works harder at your shop, You, Mojo, or the Duff! lol Love your content and thank you for what you do.
Good question!
I thoroughly enjoy commaraderie with the boys!! Reminds me of times long gone.
Glad you like them!
I am a Huge Fan of Black steelies and black sidewalls. Happy too see you and puddin are as well.
Right on
Haha this brings back memories, I used to sell Andrei Mitsubishi parts back in the early 2000's at Team Mitsubishi later sold to Cable. That car actually looks like a fun one hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for sharing
I'd definitely take a look at the clips on the pads that's the only time when I ever had em Squeak, Duff is Hilarious 😂
Sweet
Matthew's solo cam sticker. I bought those caps for my 72 nova. Use DA on the discs to get the squeak out. My high school auto teacher gouged his discs with a screw driver in a X pattern to stop the squeaking. Hopefully you moved the car and didnt step in that steamer
Classic!
Thank you.
YES!! I can hardly wait to be outta work so I can watch the new Mortske adventures!!! The new Roadkill came out today so I may watch that as well. But Mortske first lol
Much appreciated
@@MortskeRepair for sure! I frickin love your channel! My boy and I were watching a different show where the guys were doing a valve job and putting a new sleeve in a block. My son says “hey dad, that fancy tooling is neat and all, but I think I’d rather watch Mortske and Duff dog try this, it would be way more entertaining!”
So I’ve got my kid hooked on your channel as well. Keep up the great work!
@@tommyvan4609 Thanks for watching!
"We do it right, because we do it twice!" New Life Motto! Thx Mortske!
Welcome
Good afternoon from Cape Cod ⛵ you've got to straighten out those rare quarters, other than that the car looks pretty much okay. You guys are hilarious while tuning the car 😂 can't wait to see what modifications you do to your new favorite ride Mortske ✌️🇺🇲
Thanks 👍
Hey Mortske👋, Thanks for sharing. Great video.
My pleasure!
Some people never liked that color green for the interior, but I always liked it.
Depends on the application
Looking forward to seeing you make that into the Camaro of your dreams!😊
Fingers crossed!
Whoops somebody put there hand in the wet silicone LOL Nice job guys Like the look of the new wheels
Every time
As always good stuff drive it to the wheels falloff! Thanks for sharing.
You bet!
HELLO 👋 Mortske, LOVE the 69 and had one myself. I am confused about why was the Roadster on the trailer 😐, I thought you drove that home a few videos ago. Please 🙏 explain
Different trip
