We Do Lighting Better Because We Test! - Авто та транспорт
I just recently purchased the morimoto 3.0’s I put them in the low beams for a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe I can’t believe how much of a difference they made I strongly recommend these LED replacements!!!
Thanks for your reply!
Morimoto
@@HeadlightRevolution i want these headlight bulb, I have a 2017 mazda 6 were can I get these
@@HeadlightRevolution what would you recommend for a 2010 Lexus ls460 headlight bulb ?
Anyone else get really excited when he talked about the heating of the headlight housing during winter? This was the biggest issue for me as I like somewhere with colder conditions!
Same here, we have the wet and heavy snow that sticks to just about anything that's not heated, I need a pair of LED bulbs that produces heat to heat up the entire lamp or at least the lenses.
This will make such a huge difference for your headlights, they will actually be able to reliably melt off that snow and frost! Let us know if you would like help getting them on order, we would be happy to assist you! Have a great day!
I bought these bulbs, they do not heat enough to melt anything. The heat difference between these bulbs and other LEDs is negligible. I was highly disappointed, they just sit in a box now in the trunk unused, waste of money. I installed halogens back in. These LED bulbs are not even as bright as the halogens. Again, huge disappointment and waste of money.
@@rsreidy I would agree, a major dissapointment on the actual usability of the concept. They have the concept right but as for how well it works, it needed another couple years of RND.... The beam pattern is awesome though, just as advertised
@@aidensmith1054 the weather is a bit warmer now so I swapped these bulbs back in. Agreed, beam pattern is spot on. But still disappointed about not generating enough heat for the housing. That was 50% of the reason I bought them. I do have to say they were simple to adjust too. So I’m like 50/50 on them.
really easy to tell that this man really knows what hes talking about, love hearing professionals speak about their craft!!
Glad you liked the video, thanks for the support my man! Let us know if there is anything we can help you with!
I've been rocking these bulbs both high and low on my 2019 Colorado ZR2 since Dec. 2021. I have been very pleased with these bulbs. Factory beam pattern. Great light output. I did need to modify my dust caps to make them fit but it was well worth it.
Glad you like them!
I still wanna see the morimoto 2stroke 3.0 VS the GTR ultra 2 and the S-V.4 in both projector and reflector
ua-cam.com/video/EF-s7-kn0jc/v-deo.html
@@rudolphwittlake4688 that was the perfect video recommendation. Thanks!
@@RayneValco any updates on this vid?
Looking to buy a set of h13s and am on the fence between the morimoto or GTR. A year later, any word?
@@richterat83my H11 morimoto 2 stroke 3.0 just died. Luckily they come with a 3yr replacement. Hadn't had mine 1.5 years so it instantly paid for itself. You have to send in a proof of destruction photo within 60 days of replacement though but that's a great return policy. I use the sv4s as fog lights and they are nice and bright. I'd use the sv4s as my drl and low/highs but that Morimoto horizon line it throws is a competition killer. Seeing that on the road is bad ass.
I just got my New Morimoto 3.0 and they are amazing. The beam pattern shape is exactly like OEM, but the intensity is on a whole other level. There's so much more usable light. And it doesn't blind oncoming drivers. Thanks for the great video that convinced me to get them.
Great to hear!
What are your thoughts on this new LED bulb from Morimoto? I personally love the unique heatsink and cooling design. Having an LED bulb that has the ability to melt snow/ice on the lens is HUGE!
When do these go on sale? I just checked the website and it won't let you purchase them yet.
Can u do another video of these bulbs but inside of a projector housing
How do they compare to a hid
Rather have a bulb that extracts the heat from the housing vs. circulate the heat inside a housing
These do seem like they are better for non projector headlights, but how do they compare to the GTRs? I've been loving the GTR Ultra 2s.
I’m happy with my GTR Lighting Gen 3 9008 LED bulbs and wouldn’t change them for the world. Have them on my 2011 Chevy Cruze for almost a year and they work perfectly with my DRL. I noticed they get my brighter when my full headlight system is on. They’re fan-less and have the best beam pattern of any LED bulbs I’ve tried.
I’m very happy with this product and would like to thank Headlight Revolution.
So glad to hear that you are liking those bulbs, thank you for the support! If you need anything else just let us know, have a great day!

I was shopping around for some good LED’s when I stumbled on to the 2stroke 3.0. I thought they looked cool and were at a fantastic price. (Lower than msrp) I bought them not knowing what to expect. Hot damn am I excited now!!! Thanks HR!
Awesome! 😁 Glad you're happy with your purchase!
Awesome video, very nice and interesting to see how led bulbs are being developed and are just getting better and better :-D

Im so glad i found this channel. All i wanted to know and more 👌👌👌. Gonna purchase ALL the lights for my 97 Civic Ek
Glad we could help!!!
I assume we will see a video soon comparing these to the GTR Ultra 2? The sealed fan on the back of these actually makes way more sense for fog lights where the back of the bulb is exposed to the elements. Nice!
Glad you like these lights, they are a fantastic new design! I am sure we will be testing those 2 bulbs down the road, we will totally keep you posted on that! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!

Just in time for Christmas too. I know what I’m asking my wife for this year 😊
Oh boy, Santa is about to bring the goodies!😄
How did it go?
Been running these for about a month on my 2013 f150 with stock halogen headlight.
Before they arrived I was worried I was just doing a LED bulb and not a whole light replacement.
But the results blew my mind. The difference between the stock halogen and these morimotos is incredible. I have mine adjusted and the beam pattern does match the stock a lot but its significantly brighter. Its also got a very white temp with very little blue or yellow. So far no on-coming traffic has flashed me so im assuming they dont cause as much blinding as some other led/hid options.
Where do you live please, if it's the USA, I understand they are not legal there.
@David Beach not enforced anywhere. Only running a light bar on the highway will get you a ticket
@@davidbeach7187 Seriously?
Thanks for writing this. I have the same model with halogens and was wondering about these. I was thinking GTR Ultra 2 but I think I will be getting these instead. Still working well for you?
@lewis tan - would love a long term update. I've got a 14 and I'm curious how they're working for you. Also considering GTR Ultras. TIA!
I have used the 2.0 Morimoto and it's worked in -45 and it still beats after 4 years of driving.
Glad they have been working for you, if you have any questions or need anything else just let us know! Have a great day!
Just orderd these for my Charger, I can't wait!
💪💪💪
2017 Chevy Cruze here with projectors. Ended up returning these bulbs.
I half baked measured the light output with my phone and the leds were brighter but not by a whole lot (roughly 1200 vs 1500). Visually they weren’t much brighter either. Their color had a hint of blue which matched my daytime running lights perfectly but I actually wish they were just pure white or as close as can be. Beam pattern was very close to stock. But on the road they seemed to make odd patterns sort of like you’d see when light passes through shaped glass. Didn’t help me see much more than OEM at night. Fan was not loud at all. It did help heat up the projector housing so I’m confident it would partially melt snow off of your headlight. Because bulb sticks out more than halogen my dust caps would not fit.
Headlight Revolution was a pleasure to deal with. 8 out of 10 will most likely love these headlights.
Thanks for letting us know how your experience went!
There is a nice counter to another youtube channel in this, that is so discreet that you wouldn't know it was there, if you haven't seen the other channel's video that discredited HR-Rev's way of testing. Nicely done HR-Rev! :-)
And also... Great Video!....
Now... If only Morimote would make an H1 socket as well. (swapped my trucks org headlights for some aftermarked that uses H1's)
Thank you for the support, glad you liked the video! Could you link the video that was discrediting us by chance, just for kicks!😂As for the H1, we do wish Morimoto had come out with that right away, but we are still hopefull that they will release them down the road! We will keep you posted!
I'm running a set of leds of Ali express which replaced my xenon factory bulb. They link to the D3S connector so no issues and performance wise the LEDs gave the same beam pattern and were overal brighter.
I recently picked up a pair of these from you guys. They light up the road better than the HIDs in my S2000. So far the light pattern doesn't look like it's causing any glare for oncoming traffic which is nice. I'm considering them for my wife but she has reflector type halogen lamps not a projector like mine so we'll see.
My application is a '15 Ford Flex with halogen reflectors. Is it fair to say that the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 will perform better and with a more uniform beam in this traditional reflector than the GTR Ultra 2.0?
Yeah Buddy! Now if I can set these up on my 2004 Kia Sedona I’ll be solid!
Exactly! Let us know if you have any other questions, or if you need help getting those going! Have a great day!
@@HeadlightRevolution Yeah Buddy I will!
Are these good for 2018 1500 ram reflectors? What size do i need? I have the quad headlights
have you tried them on 2014 silverado low beam reflectors and are they better than the gtr ultra2 ,s-v.4 or wich is the better one for this truck
This is epic!
Super epic!
Great video guys!
To bad morimoto isn't able yet to engineer the Oslon LEDs into the dual filament bulbs yet. I can see why, but it would be nice to benefit from this new technology in those applications too.
The chips on the dual-beam bulbs will still produce an amazing amount of light output, so there is not much to worry about there!💪
I have a 2016 civic and 2017 impreza both with h11 halogens. Would these be the best bulb for both cars?
Which is better for offroad use, H4 in an older SUV, these or the GTR? I like these for the sealed design. Think river crossings, lots of water, and lots of mud.
Just got these for my wife’s terrain to replace the 2.0’s. Does the need chip technology mean that I don’t need to use the anti flicker module when I hook it up? 2015 GMC Terrain
Tryung to figure out if the 2stroke 3.0 will fit a 2016 ford f150 low beam since those ports arent centerned
I haven’t any knowledge of led headlights. I have a bulb with two wires coming out. From what I looked up it’s 2 waterproof connectors. It says OPT7 on the side. Could you recommend anything?
This looks very good, but how does it stack up compared to a Hikari Ultra of similar type?
the oem led headlights on my 2017 bmw g30 are terrible.. Can i replace them with these??
Mine keep popping out of the housing. Am I doing something wrong? They don't seem to lock well. I have a 2022 Silverado 3500.
Just want to know what I should buy. 2Stroke 3.0 OR SV4 OR GTR Ultra 2.0 ????? Putting it in my low beam projector
Great Bulb. hard do you have to push to rotate the position?
I currently have the 2.0’s in the AlphaRex (knockoff morimoto xbs) Ram assemblies and the visibility is amazing. I can see from edge to edge of any road I drive on without blinding other drivers. So if these are any improvement over the 2.0s, that’s definitely impressive

What are the best LED bulbs with 6500k color temp?
Please compare the Lumibright XT1 Gen 2 with these please ! I own a pair and they have left me satisfied with a halogen projector application (I finally have a bright hotspot !)
will these work in my 2019 f250 as headlights, it uses halogen headlights stock. I ask because I can't find a kit recommended for my f250 on your website that uses these morimoto 3.0 leds.
Also, if the pwm module dies but the led unit still works is there any option other than buying a whole new kit since the pwm module on these appears to be hardwired to the led.?
Could you guys test the Lumibright XT1 Gen2 LEDs? I’ve heard lots of good thing about these bulbs and I am curious how they will compare with the Ultra 2s and other good LEDs.
How works on 2017 dodge ram OEM projector headlights
Hey guys I have a question
I bought these but the lights seem to be “whiter” but not “brighter”. What could that be?
They are installed in a 2014 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited
Shame they do not do a H1. Q. In your opinion, what is the Best overall LED H1 headlight bulb replacement ?. I tried some NightEye H1's and they were terrible, so im back with Osram Nightbreaker Laser halogens at the moment.
In the moment when he mentions, "these bulbs take the guesswork out of choosing the right bulb for your housing", I immediately said: 99.9% of people who buy LEDs for their stock headlights don't give not even one 💩 about this extremely important detail. All they care about is brightness and blinding everyone else at night.
These bulbs are wonderfully innovative, it's a shame that most won't get past their price.
would those be the same idiots driving without their lights on at night now?
Hopefully we will be able to switch some people over, once you see how useable the light is coming out of these it is really a no brainer! That beam pattern has an almost perfect spread, and really pumps out that light!

Anyone using these in projectors and also ran HIDS? Any differences?
I was getting really excited hearing about how it mimics factory beam pattern since that’s priority #1 for me, but my dreams were quickly dashed when I heard it’s still not DOT compliant 😢. I try to always operate above board and it’s a major bummer these aren’t legal for on-road use.
I replaced my factory halogen bulbs with Sylvania Silver Star Ultras which was a big improvement yielding brighter & whiter light, but the light output down the road at distance from the factory halogen projectors in my ‘11 Porsche Cayman pales in comparison to the factory HIDs in my ‘04 Lexus LS430 (not surprising) so I’ve been researching drop-in LEDs for months. The beam pattern and distribution of light is great, it just needs to be brighter!
Why are LEDs like these not DOT compliant if they reproduce the factory beam pattern, and don’t blind other drivers by scattering light every which way??? 😤😤😤
These bulbs are totally able to produce a OEM quality beam pattern. The only thing that makes them not "DOT Approved" is just that they are not the same bulb that came with the headlight from the factory. They do not mesure it at all, nor do they take the time to test it to see if it will perform safely, they just say it is not legal. Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
Headlight Revolution can't say it, but just buy them and use them, lol... Nobody cares, or is going to check your bulbs to see if they're "legal". What matters is you being able to see at night without blinding other drivers!
I have a 2019 ram 2500 and have the Morimoto 2stroke 2.0 and blew one out do I still need the anti flicker module with the new 3.0’s
I would love to see a comparison between the Ultra 2.0 and the 2Stroke 3.0. The 2Stroke is way cheaper, but it’s power consumption is way lower too
less consumption = less brightness

For Honda/Acura vehicles where the Hi beam is also the DRL. The MORIMOTO 2STROKE 3.0 is the way to go. They lower output in DRL mode and most important no error codes. Depending on what yo drive you may need to.
Just curious now how these compare to the GTR Lighting Ultra 2.0 that I was about to pull the trigger on and order? Other than warranty cause I don't think you can beat the GTR warranty. I really like the way they cool which is what I worry about with the fans as they see a lot of dust. Hopefully you will have a vid soon comparing these to the GTR lights.
Hopefully we will get a video going for you down the road, we will see what we can do!😃
Have you tested to see how these lights react when used in a circuit that switches the ground rather than the power for high/low operation? There are a lot of Japanese and European vehicles that have their systems set up that way since normal incandescent bulbs don't care which way the current is going.
We did just do testing on this to be able to give you a good answer, they dowork just the same on ground switched vehicles! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
Which one better this product or GTR ultra 2 and when you going to make videos about semi 🚛 truck headlights LED

Ok, I JUST bought the Ultra 2 in an H4 for my T100. I'm really thinking about ordering these and giving the Ultra 2s to my dad for his Sienna since he lives in Florida and I live in Pennsylvania where I have to deal with snow.
Hey there, thanks for commenting! I will need you to get me the year for that Sienna, then I will be able to get you some recommendations, and see if those bulbs will work!
It's an 02 Sienna, both vehicles use a 9003/H4 style bulb.

How do these bulbs compare to the GTR Ultra 2.0? Can you compare them in the same housing as your testing with all the other brands you did, I believe it was a tacoma headlight.
We will have to accurately test them down the road, we will keep you posted when that test is available! Thanks for commenting and have a great day!
How does the MORIMOTO 2STROKE 3.0 compares to the GTR LIGHTING ULTRA 2.0 in a projector setup? Which is better?
On test that we have done they are very close to each other. Its hard to say which is better than the other. The warranty is better on the GTR, its lifetime.
I would like to find out how this higher output relates to additional heat inside the light capsule. Like the porsche boxster's example. Will there be any heat discoloration?
Not at all, heat will not be an issue with these thanks to the cooling system on that bulb! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!

Curious what these would look like on a 4runner with projectors instead of reflectors.
They would do great in that application, I think you would be very impressed! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
How well would those work to replace HID in the morimoto d2s 5.0 projectors?
Wouldn't bother. HID is still far superior, in terms of light output and color, for a projector application
Don’t do it.
Ok, your videos keep popping up on my feed so I’ll ask the question. After seeing a few of your videos, it’s clear you do your homework but also clear is that you focus on car applications. What about motorcycles? Have spent hundreds on different sets of led bulbs but never found any that I was completely happy with. What I’d like is a defined beam pattern, good amount of light output and the ability to project that light down the road. I’ve had bright bulbs but they didn’t cast it very far. Also had lights that cast it a good distance but the beam pattern was useless. Never found a set that tick all the boxes.
Now the more complicated part. Firstly, I’m using a reflector housing, so unless the bulbs mimic the beam pattern of the H7 halogens perfectly, they’re not going to be any use. Then there’s the issue with waterproofing. There’s an adapter that plugs onto the back of the H7 bulbs which makes the pins wider. Then there’s a rubber boot that has a watertight seal around that adapter. The wiring loom has a rubber surround and when pushed onto the back of the pins, creates a waterproof seal. With led bulbs, because they have a wire with the connector on the end, this means that the wiring loom doesn’t push into the back of the bulb to make the connection watertight. Hope all of that makes sense and if it does, any bulb suggestions?
That does make it hard, but we do have one fixed connector bulb, I have linked that for you below! Let us know if you think that will work for you, and we will be happy to get a order going for you! Why is there no H1 bulb in the 3.0? I see the 2.0 has one.
I have these in the hi and low in my 2019 Impreza sport and they work well. This is because my High beams are not also the DRL's, the Sport has a separate DRL lamp assembly where most Impreza's have Fog Lights. I also have a set of low beams in my 2013 Outback Limited. I tried them in the Outback's High beams which also double as the DRL's. I could not get them to work in the high beams without flicker. I tried anti flicker modules in line but the bulbs would not turn on so I had to go back to the halogen bulbs in the high beams. I was hoping they would operate at a lower power as the DRL's but it would not do that for some reason as like they said they would.
Sorry that didnt work for you! Thanks for explaining what all you tried this is very useful information!
I have a 2011 Honda CRZ and have had trouble in the past finding a led for the high beam due to the DRL. So these will cut the draw to 6v for this car?
They do work on vehicles that drop the voltage down the 6VDC, so it looks like you are in luck! I think you will be very impressed with these lights! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
Will they fit in the 2019/20 Ford Ranger???
With the dust caps on???
These should fit that vehicle with no issues, although we haven't tested these in that low beam where it is somewhat tight, so I can not guarantee that for you yet. We will keep you posted when we have tested that!
I was on your website trying to plan my light replacement for my truck, but it was not listed: 2020 Nissan Titan SV. I have Halogen taillights, Headlights (low and high beam), and no Daytime Driving or Fog lights. That’s the list of items I would like to replace.
On the Headlights, I would like to replace the the whole light fixture and lights with the Daytime Driving lights , too.
Thanks for commenting! I am sorry to say that we do not have any complete housings for your vehicle, but we do have replacement bulbs for you! I have linked them all for you here: www.headlightrevolution.com/buyer-guide-by-vehicle/2019+Nissan+Titan_with_Halogen_Headlights
How well will these bulbs work with halogen projector from a 2013 nissan maxima ?
Beam pattern, brightness, lux ....
We have not had a chance to test that bulb in that application yet, but we will keep you posted if we get that in for testing down the road! From the looks of it, they should work for you, I just can't guarantee it for you, unfortunately.
Hi,
I own a kia forte 1.6 model 2013. My headlamps are just not bright enough for safe travelling at night.
I wish to change to a whiter light like what you presented. What type of light should i use for my car. LED or HID.
If LED, then what brand should i buy and is it safe to use.
Hoping you can help me.
Thank you.
Hello, shoot us an email at Sales@headlightrevolution.com and we can help you.
Any tests done with projectors with this LED ?
HR any answers?
You list the BMW K1600 GT/GTL in your fitment guide (H7 bulbs). Is this a confirmed fitment, or is this simply done by listing the bulb style? My concern is getting the LED driver into the housing through the rather small opening provided by BMW (the housing is sealed with a cover behind the bulb once it's installed).
This is just the size that will fit, this is not something we have tested.
So how well do these cool down in vehicles where they have a sealed dust cover?
They cool just as good as any other fan based LED, you will actually have a little more room for the heat to dissapate! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
I installed these blub in my 2015 Durango but face some issues. When vehicle is turn to acc and turn on light switch both light works great but when start/running vehicle my left side flash and then turn off while my right side is working perfectly. What could cause this issue?

Looking at your website, it says H13 Led Fog light. Can this be used in the H13 Jeep headlight? Curious how it compares to the SV4 in the H13 style? I already like the idea of putting heat back into the lens, as I live in an area where I have to deal with snow and ice while driving.
These would perform amazingly in your Jeep headlight, we just can not recommend them since they are not street legal for headlight use. What you do with them is out of our control!😉
Would this bulb work on a 2013 Raptor
Just wondering if any VLeds products are included in dome of the comparison tests?
I am sorry to say that we do not use any of those bulbs in comparison, but we will totally get a video going if we get our hands on a pair of VLEDs! Thanks for commenting and have a great day!
I have 17’ Prius V with halogens, the HB & DRL are a 9005. I just don’t know if toyota uses low voltage for the DRL or if it uses PWM. I’m assuming PWM since I get flickering. Does that mean these will not work for my DRLs?? Thank you in advance
You will totally be able to use those, let us know if you have any questions! Have a good one!
