    Introducing the brand new 2Stroke 3.0 LED bulbs from our friends over at Morimoto! These bulbs come with a new philosophy in LED bulb thinking. These bulbs are not the brightest bulbs out there in the aftermarket. But what they do for you is they create a linear improvement that is proportioned to your original bulbs in their original optics when you put them inside of your headlights or foglights. And that is what really makes them special from other options out there!

    I have these in my 2019 Subaru Impreza sport and love them. The high beams in the sport are not used for the DRL. I tried a set in our 2013 Outback which does use the high beams for the DRL and they would not work. I tried an anti fickler module you guys suggested but no joy. I'm not sure why I was hoping they would run at the low power DRL but for whatever reason Subaru's setup didn't do that. I was able to return the module no problem, your customer service took good care of me. I moved the bulbs to my Impreza :)

    How is the hot air being blown directly and constantly across the LED chips not going to shorten their life? Normally a fan or heatsink pulls hot air away from the LEDs. This seems to do the opposite.

    • @marcoyuen6556
      @marcoyuen6556 3 роки тому

      Hot air into the bulb housing by fan, than being cool with the heat sink, then cool air will blown directly the led chips, bring the heat from the led chips and being hot air to the headlight lens. This is how the cooling system work, also introduced in the video.

    • @Nayr747
      @Nayr747 3 роки тому

      @@marcoyuen6556 I don't think that's how this works. A heatsink is designed to collect heat from some other area (the LEDs in this case) and move it away. The air leaving the the heatsink must be hotter than the incoming air or there would be no purpose to the fan at all. The outlet from that heatsink is pointed directly at the LEDs. So this is taking the heat produced by the LEDs and then instead of pulling that heat away it's blowing it right back onto them. If the outlet was angled away from the LEDs slightly (there seems to be nothing preventing this so not sure why they didn't do it) that would make some sense but it's not. This design is kinda stupid.

    • @yoshiishida6577
      @yoshiishida6577 3 роки тому +2

      @@Nayr747 Intake side is LH half of the bulb, where cool air rushed into while directly exchange the heat from LED location and PCB core. The rear box circulates airflow and pushes out from the RH half of the bulb. Yes, this exhaust is hot, hotter than the incoming air. But it still is cooler than the LED chip itself = heat exchange will occur. Also, exhaust jet velocity is much higher than the intake side. This pulls surrounding air into the jet and runs along with the LED front body RH side. It looks like blowing back, but flow dynamics are a bit different, and it still is pulling the heat from the LED. In a typical LED bulb, solid metal material only can dissipate a very small amount from natural convection near LED. Thermal conduction is handled by metal solid body internal travel to the opposing end to finally exchange the heat. And there also is hot air wrapping around the LED chip and its natural convection velocity is so much smaller than 2st3.0 exhaust velocity. 2st3.0 can blow the hot air surrounding the LED chip away more effectively. Any questions, feel free to ask me.

      Legislation in the U.S. doesn't allow for ANY aftermarket headlight that isn't factory, including HID or LED. I think the same technically applies for taillights as well. Though the likelihood of being pulled over and ticketed is low, TRS (and most resellers) can't officially sell them as headlight bulbs.
