St. Finbarr's Cemetery in Cork, Ireland, is the city's largest and one of the oldest cemeteries in Ireland which is still in use. Located on the Glasheen Road, it was first opened in the 1860s. The entrance gateway was erected circa 1865, and the mortuary chapel consecrated in 1867.
Many of the early burials were of the wealthy citizens of the city. Unlike older cemeteries, St. Finbarr's was professionally laid out with numbered pathways and wide avenues.

Dear Sue,
I know that I have often told you what lovely work you do and I don't want to become overbearing or overly wordy in my statements as I fear they may cheapen my words sentiments. I do however want you to know that your videos mean an awful lot to myself and countless others across the globe. Life has become very trying for many of us around the world. Food prices have skyrocketed, gas is ridiculous and electricity now costs more than rent where I live. It is so nice to have an escape. A moment or two to step away from our own worries, thoughts and miseries are worth their weight in gold. I thank you so very much for giving us an opportunity to stop and reflect, to be at peace and to take stock of what is truly important in our lives. You and your videos have become a very real and greatly appreciate escape from the realities of this world. I just want you to know how deeply I appreciate you and all of your hard work and diligence. Be blessed and be well, my friend. And thank you once again for all that you do.
Wow, Timothy those are the most beautiful words I have read, thank so much ❤️

I really liked this walk Sue. The monuments were awesome. The big old trees especially the purple leafed one. I think it was a Beech. Not sure. Sue you looked beautiful that early in the morning.
I was tired and pretty rough after our night in the car but this was worth it, yes that tree I think too is a beech how fantastic are the colours
The crow is so mournful. Fits right in.

Beautiful place. I had stopped watching almost anything on UA-cam as the news in the USA is so terrible. This old cemetery is so lovely and well kept. If only America would take care of the living children the 💔old and the homeless….💐🕊

Sally Wolfe at 32:51 has her own Wikipedia page. There is also a book about her called “She Left Her Heart in China: The Story of Dr.Sally Wolfe, Medical Missionary 1915-1951”. Quite an interesting lady!

@@SerenitySueGraveyards there’s so many beautiful statues in this one. I think it might be one with the most so far but it’s also a very big cemetery too. I really like this one, but the fairy holds my heart still. I loved that Dr Harvey one too
Yes it is gorgeous well worth the rough night in a car lol and of course no traffic, statues give a different feel at this time of morning too 😀
Hey outside watching it
Thanks Moe
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS 👌!!! I am so sorry for your injuries! We all fall and feel embarrassed 😳. I fell several years ago at my granddaughters uni graduation and ended up at the hospital with three breaks in my hand and a very nasty knee. It was in front of hundreds.🥺🙃
Oh no Janice, no one saw me and my son fall, I got up fast and went to my car, only to feel the blood run down my arm, it was then I realised I was hurt and the pain set in, I had to go back up to the shop and the manager cleaned and dressed my arm, then my son almost fainted poor chap, I think I'm sore today my whole body aches and I hurt my neck, it happens so fast. I'm just thankful it was me and not a poor elderly person ❤️
@@SerenitySueGraveyards like me 😁. So happy your young one didn't go with you on the way down!!
Oh me too, or banged his head, or mine actually that would have ended much worse
I am writing the time down😂! Not depending on you tube for notifications any more😂😂🤣
Me either liz lol x
If a family is looking for a particular grave or burial area in the church cemeteries is there usually a directory or a person on the grounds for them to ask or look up?
The statues were very beautiful and haunting.
I've never found anyone at a graveyard who has names, it's best to ring local council whi will be able to direct you to where to look. Also find a grave might be of some help too. The bigger cemeteries will have an office but the older ones don't
Writing it down too Liz sometimes I get notifications sometimes I don't
I won't make the premier as I'll be at work but promise to catch up when I'm home x
Thanks x
Hi sue you're out of the bed early 🙂 😅😅
I was, well we slept in the car so not much sleep had 😳🤣
