#ireland #history #cemetery
Those are beautiful mausoleums and memorials, but it's so sad to see their remains and coffins so broken and desolate. Awesome job you're doing. I love seeing these old cemeteries and crypts. They haven't been visited in many years. Thank you for sharing with us.
I appreciate it 🙏
Lately, you have been finding disturbing graves and mauselems. You're doing a fantastic job ❤🎉❤
Thanks so much ❤️
mausoleums
mausoleums.... ❤️
Absolutely beautiful mausoleums Sue. Another great find. Thank you so much for sharing it with us xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
You are so welcome!
Love hearing you talk ! Lovely accent ! And such beautiful ancient cemeteries ! Much older than anything we have here
Thanks so much
Very nice tour! Thank you! That first mausoleum looks like a home to me.
It does, like a home for a fairy
It looks like a Hobbit's house.
I love your walks Sue! What a beautiful day. Thank you so much…..
You are so welcome!
What great finds. The first mausoleum does look like a fairy house. Great tour! Thanks!
Thanks so much toms ❤️🥰
Well done guys this was so unusual the structures of the burial places with the plant life growing on top, we don't see this in England or maybe I just haven't seen it. I am always fascinated to see the bones just knowing how long they have lain there!.Thank you both take care! 👏👏👏👏💕💕
Me too, they are so unusual to see
Thank you once again Sue and GV for these interesting finds 👍
Its a real shame that the cemetery trust fund or management can’t come in and clean up some of these crypts, regular up keep
I guess it comes down to funding ?
Hanging out for your next video
Brendan 🇦🇺
Once family is gone, that's it, unless the church will employ someone to care, there's no one, this church behind is closed and used as some sort of office
Thanks for sharing Sue and GV. Hope you are feeling better Sue. Love these old graveyards and crypts especially. Take care.
Thanks, you too!
Fantastic video Sue and Cathal. You should get an award for camera shots through the smallest of holes . Simply amazing and overall a lovely graveyard. Hope you're feeling better ❤️
Over the door I believe that figure is a Griffen or Griffin, Google it.
Thanks, I'm getting there now thank you 😊
Very fine tour and looking in those holes is spooky.
Thanks Sally ❤️
Amazing little grave yard... nature will always take back which i think in its own way is beautiful thanks for the video from Aussie Pete keep safe
Me too, as long as it doesn't become too overgrown it's beautiful
Thanks!
Ahh toms, you're the best, thank you so much, will use this for next weeks adventures x x
Greetings from Poteet texas. I love you your work.I hope to do as well with mine when I lunch it this fall.
Are you going to do yourtube Gary?? Let me know when you start
Sue would fit through that hobbit door....but GV would prolly have to crawl through...lol Jk...Great video Sue as usual!...You always find such interesting locations! I'm glad that all these souls who have passed on are being remembered through these cemetery tours!! Keep up the awesome work!
🤣 thanks Kris ❤️
probably.... ❤️
Looks like there was an iron gate deeper in one.
Really, 1st or 2nd one?
Hi Sue, thank you for taking me for a walk around that beautiful graveyard ❤
You're very welcome 🙏
To look through the small holes, use a bore scope. Those are used to look inside engines and walls. There are some high-quality USB miniature cameras which connect to your smartphone. They provide their own light, but it would be good to get a high intensity miniature light(s) to stick through other holes.
I was just thinking that myself. To be honest I am not on top form as you are. I was thinking more along the lines of the little camera thingy they feed though walls, ceilings etc😂
We have one, the light is not bright enough, so a torch is needed too and unless the subject is not close, the cable bounces around plus the quality of video is not great either, there's a video on here showing me using it
I love this 😅 but see above comment as we have one
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome like and shared out in you tube community. ⌚
Thanks a million
15:56 Beautifully done Sue. You show us that we all will someday be just bones, then to dust. God Bless your efforts. Perhaps you could look into getting one of those scope cameras. They are bendable and shine their own light. You w 15:56 ill be able to see all 4 corners with one of those. Just a thought. Have a nice evening with dry toes.
I have one Angie, the video quality isn't good and the light not bright enough x
@@SerenitySueGraveyards ohh okay. Well Darlin you are the expert in this arena. I am a big fan of you both! Hope your feeling better, still Praying, Angie

Glad you like them!
glad to see that youre doing better sue
Thanks Humphries ❤️
This seems so familiar to me. Is this a repeat, or am I just senile? Lol!
You're good, I've been very sick and had to move house too
@@SerenitySueGraveyardsget well soon
foxes get in sometimes burrow in and eat the bodys
Rodents also.
Oh yes, that's a good point
@@SerenitySueGraveyards i have kicked nudged bones back into to burrows that go way down into a grave with large round holes made by foxes.
Hello Serenity Sue , another awesome video. Jean Crosby Nashville TN USA
Thanks so much!
Beautiful Sue....sosad tossed e en each time to see broken coffins and remains when they thought all was safe to RIP. Church is lovely. Hope you and GV are doing well.thanx for another awesome video.❤😊
Thanks Deborah ❤️ all good here now, thank you
Loved the wrought iron on the Constance grave
I love the tours of the cemeteries and being able to view the beautiful Irish countryside. I enjoy hearing about the inscriptions on the headstones and the ancient dates amaze me. I never view the insides of the crypts and vaults. Those souls should forever be allowed to rest in peace.
Thank you ❤️
"The Grave Detectives" so much to see and the social history is fascinating, another grand video thanks guys xx
@@jacquelinesmedley7853 cheers 🍻
I enjoyed that thanks both stay safe ❤
Glad you enjoyed it
That first mausoleum DOES look like a hobbit house!! I'm just waiting for Bilbo Baggins to pop his head out the door, and invite you both in for tea!!🤣🤣
You always find the most AMAZING places, Sue!! Thanks for taking us along!! XXXX 💕🤗💞👏👍❤ Ps hope you're feeling a bit better today!! XXXX 💞🤗💐
Ahh I loved bilbo baggins, I'd prefer him to shrek 🤣🤣
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Shrek would be too big to fit in there, anyway!!🤣🤣
@nadiabrook7871 oh yeah Lol but perfect for Donkey 🤣
Another interesting grave yard sue , thanks 👍
You're welcome
Hi, Sue. Love what you do. Such appreciation of those who came before us. Do you ever get to County Armagh? I my 2 time great grandparents were married at the Catbolic parish at Tartarigan & Loughgall in 1830-ish before coming to Ohio. Looking for McCadden and O'Neil (always guessing at which is the correct spelling). If you have already been there I'd love to see any of the videos you have done. So happy (& frustrated) to be "digging" into my Irish heritage. A labor of love. You have inspired my husband & I & his sibling to buy a headstone for his baby brother, Michael who passed in 1955, age 2 months. He is next to his sister, Karen (d.1942, age 2 mos). They will never be forgotten. ✌️Peace
That would be so nice to get the headstone for them, I haven't been as of yet no
was one of the people perhaps a priest and that was their Chalice they used during Mass?
I'm not sure but I do think it was a chalice for sure
Love Lov your expeditions.
Thanks so much ❤️
Thanks Sue! LIKE and SUBSCRIBE everyone!!!
Thanks Kelly ❤️
I wonder if that creature decorating the mausoleum...the one with lion's quarters was maybe a griffin?
Loved the tour...thanks for taking us along. I have always wanted to peek inside of mausoleums, but didn't have a good way of doing so. Fascinating!❤
Thanks so much ❤️
Bones a plenty.
For sure
Very brave, observant work in difficult circumstances. Looking forward to the next vid! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
I'm curious to know if people nowadays have a more of a modern grave compared to the really old ones. If that makes sense.
Oh yes, times have changed for the better, although it's very expensive nowadays to die
My goodness you do find some magnificent mausoleums, bit spooky at times, thanks for your respect for the dead❤🙏🏼
I am surprised that those two bridge type areas didn’t collapse with those heavy grave stones! Mausoleum was interesting!
That's true Liz
I pray 🙏 you are feels no better, Sue. Take it easy. If ever needed, we can watch &/or rewatch your videos to help you continue to get your algorithms enough on UA-cam. Just say the word.
I send you Love & motherly “there, there”s .
Always incredible videos! God Bless You!! 💚💚💚💚
Ahh Brenda, you're a star, I'm on the mend thankfully, I so want to get out and film for you all x x
I absolutely Love ❣️ serenity Sue's vids.... They're so well edited....
Thank you so much!
Crypt was giving definite Hobbit vibes! You find so many amazing places. Thanks.
Definitely
Very interesting graveyard. The mausoleums were particularly interesting, as are the remains inside. Do you think, that Sarah Bell was possibly buried inside the mausoleum? Great video, thank you very much Sue and GV. Take care 😊
I was thinking that. Perhaps Sarah was the coffin that you said was newer & in better condition.
@@joannerothque1548Maybe.
I hope so, the wording implies different as it say near by or near to??
It's a possibility, I love they thought so highly of her, bless them
@SerenitySueGraveyards Thank you very much for getting back to me, and Joan. The wording on the wall can be misleading. But when you think about it, if that newer coffin is Sarah's, she is buried, close to that inscription. 🤔
great explore ❤
Thanks Julia ❤️
You show such interesting things. It’s amazing….
Thanks so much
Limerick never disappoint's..Just love it when you come across the old mausoleums..❤
Me too Maureen
You sure find interesting graves . I sure would like to have a visit with you. There is pry alot of history that you know. Thank you for sharing another great video 📹 i sure enjoy them .Have a Blessed day From Marie in Northern British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
You're very welcome 🙏
Hey Sue. I love your channel, thanks you. Tell me, what would happen if you tried to clean a cool old stone like the book in this video? Could it be ruined? Thanks again.
It could be, I don't have any permission to do this, you would need that and insurance plus I really would hate to damage it, I'd leave it to family or a professional ❤️
Interesting little cemetery. The first mausoleum looked like a little cottage with a thatched roof.
It did, I wonder was that the idea behind it
I loved the stone with the unicorn . It was so different and beautiful.
Very different almost enchanted
Beautiful place❤ Loved the unicorn on the crown❤I wonder if there is away to look up family creasts? I know i cant my kids put you tube on my phone so i can watch videos but anything else😂
I'm sure there has to be a Google search for family crests but I'm just guessing 😅
2:03 a Griffin? 10:44 beautiful!! What would be neat would be if you had a flexible cable with a camera at one end! Like an engineers inspection flexible camera!! Thank you Ms Sue ❤😘😍
I have one, they are not great unfortunately
I think we’re all curious as to what’s inside vaults and mausoleums. Neglect or passage of time has revealed some nice finds lately.
Thanks Greg ❤️
I love history and I wonder what these people's lives were like back in the day. May they rest in peace. 🙏❤️
❤️
Whoa, a full skeleton. Nice looking Graveyard, has a Charm to it. Great video S & C, much respect. Elias(my name, which is Spanish for Elijah)
Thank you, Elias, beautiful name
Looks like the elements and time have really started to take over. It seems like caretakers are more interested in taking care of the greenery on the outside and not making sure that things are alright on the inside. With some of these finds, I think a little ossuary would be needed.
Thank you ❤️
This is very interesting ❤❤❤
Thanks x
It is a morbidly fascinating hobby. I love it!
Couldn't agree more!
thanks sue gives me something watch when i get in of nights thanks again.😃
You are so welcome
i keep kibbitzing with you and your partner about doing something in america; on the flip side there are all kinds of wonderful inducements to do media projects in ireland; a lot of tax breaks; a literate people
If only I had to funds to go further afield
Awww ... that was beautiful! I LOVED that unicorn atop that crown in 3D! That was very, very epic! One of those skulls looked like you could see the seams of the skull when it mends together after a baby is born! Great pictures and peeks inside them all. ♥️👀🇮🇪☘️
Hi Janet, love to you and especially your sister x x
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Thank you Sue, she needs it so much. ♥️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ - five shamrocks for the five of us left on this earth. I have lost two sisters already. Bless you.
Oops deleted my own comment😂.Take two. Good morning Sue,GV and everybody. That was so peaceful and a perfect hobbit house for me. The more I see these broken coffins. The ones from age not desecration. I cannot help wondering what will be left to see a couple of hundred years from now of today's coffins. The carpenters of yesteryear took so much pride in their workmanship. Far more superior than today's. Maybe I am wrong. Anyway splendid day to all. Thank you Sue for another lovely explore.❤
Oh Belinda lol, I have to agree, coffins were far more beautiful than today and I'd say hand made too
If you want to go through small holes like that you may try a borescope.. they're not expensive and I often use them while they're looking into motors.. to see if they have something bad like a scored wall.. a piston wall but I think it would work well for you..
I have one poor video quality. The light is not strong enough, unless what you're trying to see is very close the cable just bops about
Love your videos Sue & GV, but aren't we just a gruesome lot lol. Take care xx
Absolutely 💯
Wherever Sarah is May she R.I.P,another top number sue safe travels to you and GV,and yes nature returns to protect those who rest within,🙏🙏👋👋👍🇦🇺
Thank you Peter ❤️
If I were one of the souls lingering there, I would think to myself:"Cool! Serenity Sue and GV are here! I need to do something (not too scary) to attract them over to my stone!).
Ahh I love that
Amazing how quickly nature is claiming everything back. Poor graves. 😉
It doest take too long
@@SerenitySueGraveyards , it still looks great though.
Is it possible Sarah would have been placed in the mausoleum with the family she worked for? I'm amazed that you were able to see through those tiny holes.
It's definitely a possibility, I hope so, lovely to see how well she was loved
Maybe sarah bell is in the first one, I say that because that one coffin look way newer then any of the other coffins in there. The other ones were all destroyed. Its weird that they all are destroyed but that one almost looks newish. Since it said 1985 on the writting about sarah bell maybe that coffin is hers
👍🏻👍🏻💖
Thanks ❤️
It always amazes me in this type of video how folks seem surprised to find skeletal remains in these crypts. I mean, come on - they do entomb people in these things. It's interesting to see, but I just get why the surprise!
No surprise at all, I've seen them enough
Is it really shocking to find bones in mausoleums??? Love your content!
It Can be, so people need a warning before they watch
❤
Could Sarah be in that newer looking coffin inside the big mausoleum? (Around 4:25 with white crosses on the ends and sides.)
She could be, I hope so
Just looked up the symbol of the winged lion/griffin..it is the symbol of St. Mark the Evangelist.. so perhaps this is what it is?, not sure so many different grave symbols.. fascinates me.. Thank you so much for this video, sad but I suppose after 150+ years to be expected. Keep safe Sue mind those ankles cemeteries can be hazardous.
Thanks Sue, it may be that they have incorporated this into their family crest
Do you think Sarah could be buried outside the crypt, as she was not family, but by the side where the soil and grass graduate down?
Could be
Thatched🍀🍀🍀 roof
Yes, it definitely does look like that
Could be a chalice unless the top of the skull was removed post mortem,if thats the right word?
Yes, first I thought it was the skull too
15:10 is that a skull? 😮
Yes
I think Sarah Bell may be inside the mausoleum. Just a thought. Why not!
Yes, that's true, I sure hope so
I can in love and peace and respect to all in the Resting community.😂
🎉😮😅🎇🐍🧡🌺
🎂🎂🎂💫💫💫💫🎈🎈🎈🎈
This isnt new, we've seen this before ?????
I've been moving house and I've been sick too
Leprechaun house maybe 😂😂
Well, we are in the land of leprechauns and fairies 🤣
Can I just ask, are you in a relationship grave visitations? You are always together.
We are partners x x
Organ Sue
Thanks ❤️
Awesome, As Always...I would love to see a glistening carpet of Snow Drops, they look similar to Lily of the Valley and both like Narcissus blooms I believe are extremely poisonous so I guess the graveyard is the best place to grow them 'lol' Ta very much Sue & GV it looked like a gorgeous day to be tripping the light fantastic through the olde graveyard minus the boggy ground also great finds with the mausoleums & crypts, the skull poking through the crumbling coffin looked quite eerie, all in all a gr8 find...🪦⚰⚰👍👍
Snow drops are one of my favourites
Thanks!
Thank you so much toms, really appreciate it 😊
