Kudos to you Ms. Sue, for climbing those narrow steep stairs!!! You are braver than I. I'm with GV. I don't care for heights 😅😅. Great video and lovely location ❤❤ Thank you!!
So glad you didn't have to "take one for the team". Does kinda show how dangerous some old places can be. Thanks for another great video. And hi to GV!
What an adventure! Can you imagine trying to maneuver those stairs with 13th, 14th, etc clothing?...carrying candles, food, drink, etc...?..yikes! You both did a great job! Kudos to you both! It's always so much fun to go on your adventures with you! ❤
Absolutely amazing church & tower. I'm continually amazed by the age of the structures. The US is so much younger than Ireland we have nothing like these ruins. Sue I cannot walk & chew gum at the same time if there's anything I can drop trip over fall over I will find it. I am worried about your ankle. I did something similar & wound up with foot & ankle surgery Nothing broken but ligaments stretched too far & all the bones slipped out of place. Major surgery 8 weeks in a cast at first no one realized what had happened & by the time they did it was too late I hope your foot heals soon. Those stairs were so scary. I was having heart palpitations just watching you. Great video. Be careful & safe travels ❤
My foot is actually find but my upper legs hurts, like a pulled muscle. You poor thing but I swear that phrase, walking and chewing gum got me laughing

Dear Lord Sue, Take it easy !!! Lol I am glad you are ok. I wrote my comment right before you fell. I am glad you are ok. I've heard our cells hold the memories of our ancestors. I am starting to believe it's true. That or re-incarnation is real. There were certain places in the church & atop that felt familiar to me. Seriously, it was like a faded, but most assured flash of a time in my memory that I can't place. Sue, GV, you both have shown us some wonderful places and this is definitely one of them. I didn't find the old church creepy, I actually found it calming. The thought of the celebrations that must have been held there and now it still stands to remind everyone of its past life. The stones, those ages, I'll personally never make it to anywhere close to them. It had me wondering just how did they manage it? That gent making it to 101, born in 1800 and passing in 1901; can you imagine the changes, the history he must have witnessed. Thank you both for such a great video.
Thank you for a beautiful video at the risk of life and limb! I live in the US. In 1965 my aunt did a geneology and she found out we are Scottish, Irish and English. We originated from the town of Kilburn in England.
May God bless you too, Sue. That was a wonderful visit. I don't know if I'd have made it down those stairs, but I'm glad you went up them for that beautiful view of that charming cemetery.
Thank you for risking life and limb, Sue!😁Good Heavens, you have more courage than me! As much as I love to explore such things, I don’t think I would have had the nerve to go up those stairs!😳I’m so glad you didn’t get injured! Such a beautiful church and graveyard!🥰
This was, is incredible, to think 800 years later this church is still standing. Thank you for taking me on this house with you. Watching from Canada ❤
Hi I just found your video. Watched it and a couple more . This was a fantastic video . I love old cemeteries and old buildings. I live in Hamilton Ontario Canada. I have liked and subscribed to your channel. Thanks again.
Fantastic video thanks. You are made of tuff stuff, I would never had taken on those stairs. A very beautiful church and graveyard. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
I guess all Suzanne's are graceful!! 😂😂❤ Glad you are OK. The images from the roof was AMAZING ! Are you married to each other ? You reminded me my my husband. We had a fun banter. I miss him everyday. It's been 14 years now. We were married 28 years. He passed at 56. I was 49. The love of my life. ❤💔
Wow! Thank you for taking us through this incredible place. This was just a treat. I would love to see this place someday. I hope you're for feels better
The church and grave yard is just stunning. The church would make a fantastic home (with an added elevator lol). Thank you Sue. I love this place xx Teresa♥
So sorry to see you tumble. You’re a brave woman. Stairs are my scary thing for me. I’m so crippled at early sixties, I can hardly walk around our home, yet get down our front porch steps. I grip the handrail. I was worried for you watching. I got to admit looking down at the graveyard was a beautiful sight. I had three great aunts that were nuns, that lived to 103, 104 of age. If you read this Sue, please keep my husband in your prayers. He is going back to his Oncologist tomorrow and probably start his cemo back up. They gave him a two month break because he was having so many side effects and lost so much weight. A lot of times I do not get you channel notifications. So I check and try to catch up on those I miss, want to make sure you get my views to support you and GV, I do the same with his. Blessings to you both ✝️
@Cheetoluv hi, ahh I'm sorry you ate both having such a hard time, always thinking of you both. Chemo is so hard to go through, I will say a prayer and I will light a candle for you both, sending you a big Irish hug ❤️
I love the church and seeing the folks that lived to be over 100 😮 so amazing, I’d hope to live a long life such as they did. I’m also glad you didn’t get hurt sue and regardless the video was great as always, even tho it wasn’t the intended place. ❤
Wow ! That was really something else. Thank you. Sorry you hurt your foot. Being a clumsy explorer has its drawbacks. I think that name you questioned is pronounced eye o knee. I had an aunt with that name.
I'm so glad your OK Sue , I would not be brave enough to go up those stairs so kudos for doing it , great old cemetery can't believe those people 101 and 103 so rare to live that long enjoyed watching ❤
Beautiful! And beautifully done! Eccept that step i hope you are ok! That's very dangerous! Alot of very old ages in that cemetary! I'm suprised there were no cautions inside what a calm & beautiful place!
Great video. Could you imagine back when people lived there going up and down those steps ever day and night? Plus they had lots more clothes on back then too wow.
The view from the windows is beautiful. I’ve travelled half of the world and never seen anything quite as beautiful as what we have in Ireland. We truly do live in Gods country, thank you for uploading this Sue, and as someone who also hates stairs I can tell you I felt your pain ❤❤
Whew! I'm relieved you're okay! I was becoming dizzy looking out through those windows at that ground FAR, FAR below. That open area near the "stairway" gave me the willies... What an unusual design for a church. As you say, it was modified a century or so after it was built. That may explain why it looks the way it does. I was VERY impressed with that head stone with the momento mori on it. That was BEAUTIFULLY crafted, wasn't it? What a blessed area of Ireland that it would hold the remains of so many long-lived people! What gorgeous lives they lived; they got to SEE so MUCH! Mahalo for another...hair-raising video, Sue! Aloha!
What a magnificent find. Sue you be careful climbing those stairs.what an amazing view from the top. Makes me dizzy for sure. Beautiful find my lovelies
I just about lost my stomach when you got to the top of those stairs and overlooked the grounds below. I probably would’ve climbed them myself! Luckily you didn’t break anything in your fall. Like a trooper you continued on with the video. Thank you Sue and GV! Two thumbs up 👍🏻 👍🏻
Wow, that church is amazing. I too absolutely hate heights. I would have had a hard time walking up to the open areas and looking out. People in that area sure live to an old age.
What a fantastic find. Lovely building & grave yard & both well kept. I couldn't look when you came downstairs as l don't do heights (even watching on a screen) l felt your pain lol. Love & best wishes xx
What a lovely surprise graveyard you ended up visiting! You’re braver than I, tackling those huge steps, but the upstairs area was fascinating! Hope your foot was OK after that last step back down. I recently took a tumble in a church parking lot. Put out my arm to break my fall and ended up breaking my arm instead! 🙄😁 I also love the round towers throughout Ireland. We saw the amazing one at Glendalough years ago. They’re just stunning. And the history behind them is fascinating. Thanks for another great adventure! 😊
You crack me up! A shitter over the altar!!! You looked like me coming down the stairs at Blarney Castle. I was a good 350 lbs and known for falling down stairs. I took a look at those stairs and wondered where the closest rescue station was and how long it would take them to get there. And how much I would bounce. Oh lord. I proceeded to carefully go down the stairs with my mother in front of me. I made it. 😢
My family always jokes that I can manage to fall in almost any kind of environment. Glad you aren’t hurt, but I bet you’ll be sore for awhile. Beautiful day. Greetings to you both from Ohio, USA.
Hi Sue and GV that was brilliant. You had me totally in awe with the tower and church. If those walls could talk. I was totally wrapped up in the history and beauty of it all.....and then ahhh😂 the sh*tter conversation.😂😂. Even your foot mishap you turned into a comical event😂. You are so funny together. Thank you so much.I do hope that your poor little foot has recovered.😊❤
Oh Belinda 😅 what a day. First, the video we planned to do was closed, and then the fall but yes, laughter is the best medicine. My foot is great but I pulled a muscle in my leg..little sore but we keep going
Glad you're OK, Sue. I'm not a fan of heights either, and I'm tall. Lol As always, fantastic video. Such amazing places you take us. Just wish we had places like that here in the States.
How's your foot Sue? I hope you're ok! You two always show the most amazing graveyards. I am amazed at how old folks lived. I guess there weren't so many people around spreading germs! My great grandparents came over on the boat from Ireland and one lived to their 90's the other late 80's I believe. Their last name was Fitzpatrick. :)
I know it was dangerous and I'm glad you're ok - thank you so much for letting us see what was up those stairs, I did see the staircase as soon as you walked in but immediately dismissed my curiosity. Bravery kudos for you both!! I definitely would have done it myself if I were there.
Amazing to see structures from the 13th/12th century in such good kept condition and the 2 souls that lived to 101 and 92 in there time was a great age for then...ty sue this was amazing, stay safe...may I suggest a walking pole with the rubber tip for when you venture stone staircases and such 😂 you made my heart jump too on the way down..ty again👌

I appreciate that 🙏
Thanks for the video. Great to see these old, old churches! Beautiful setting. Hope your foot is OK … from 🇺🇸
Yes, thank you, 😊
I hope you are feeling better today.... lovely video.
Yes, thank you
Sue, GV, you both have shown us some wonderful places and this is definitely one of them.
You're very welcome 🙏
The scenery is so amazing; those clouds look like a painting. Quite a contrast, your work outside and then into those ancient dark buildings!
Thank you! Cheers!
Sue, this was amazing! Love these ancient churches and towers! Thank you for braving those stairs.
You're welcome Ben
Incredible, simply gorgeous. I also love your down to earth yet respectful style of presenting.
Thanks so much 😊
Thank you for a beautiful video at the risk of life and limb! I live in the US. In 1965 my aunt did a geneology and she found out we are Scottish, Irish and English. We originated from the town of Kilburn in England.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another fabulous video Sue. Loved the church . So nice to hear you say my father and aunties name, The Kelly's .
👍👍
Ahh the Kelly's
That was so interesting, thank you. Jings, my legs went to jelly when you looked out of that top window!!!
Haha, my legs were like jelly coming down, hence my fall..
May God bless you too, Sue. That was a wonderful visit. I don't know if I'd have made it down those stairs, but I'm glad you went up them for that beautiful view of that charming cemetery.
Thanks so much ❤️
Thank you for risking life and limb, Sue!😁Good Heavens, you have more courage than me! As much as I love to explore such things, I don’t think I would have had the nerve to go up those stairs!😳I’m so glad you didn’t get injured! Such a beautiful church and graveyard!🥰
Thanks so much, I've a sore leg but that will heal
This was, is incredible, to think 800 years later this church is still standing. Thank you for taking me on this house with you. Watching from Canada ❤
You're welcome Bernarda
Hi I just found your video. Watched it and a couple more . This was a fantastic video . I love old cemeteries and old buildings. I live in Hamilton Ontario Canada. I have liked and subscribed to your channel. Thanks again.
Thanks so much 🙏
Beautiful place, thanks Sue. Hope you are not suffering any permanent ill-effects from your tumble!
Just a very sore muscle in my leg
Fantastic video thanks. You are made of tuff stuff, I would never had taken on those stairs. A very beautiful church and graveyard. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
Thanks Linda ❤️
Oh my goodness, just heartbreakingly beautiful. I got teary when you went into church. So lovely!!
Thanks ❤️
I guess all Suzanne's are graceful!! 😂😂❤ Glad you are OK. The images from the roof was AMAZING ! Are you married to each other ? You reminded me my my husband. We had a fun banter. I miss him everyday. It's been 14 years now. We were married 28 years. He passed at 56. I was 49. The love of my life. ❤💔
I'm so sorry to hear that Suzanne, the quiet after all the chat is heartbreaking. We are not married but he is my partner ♥️
What a delightful old building going back many years in history. So glad it's been preserved. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Thanks for watching
Wow! Thank you for taking us through this incredible place. This was just a treat. I would love to see this place someday. I hope you're for feels better
Thank you, I'm grand again now thanks
The church and grave yard is just stunning. The church would make a fantastic home (with an added elevator lol). Thank you Sue. I love this place xx Teresa♥
Definitely an elevator lol
Bravo to you for attempting the stairway and making it up and down, despite a fright. It is a wonderful building and the views are amazing. Thanks!
Thanks very much ❤️
So sorry to see you tumble.
@@SerenitySueGraveyards AWE , Thank you so much! . God’s Blessings ✝️
@Cheetoluv love you both ❤️
I love the church and seeing the folks that lived to be over 100 😮 so amazing, I’d hope to live a long life such as they did. I’m also glad you didn’t get hurt sue and regardless the video was great as always, even tho it wasn’t the intended place. ❤
Thanks so much. With the help of God, you will have a long, healthy life
@@SerenitySueGraveyards you’re very welcome from your fan from North Carolina, United States…
Honest to goodness, this my favorite video of yours for all time! Thank you!
Wow, thank you!
Wow ! That was really something else. Thank you. Sorry you hurt your foot. Being a clumsy explorer has its drawbacks. I think that name you questioned is pronounced eye o knee. I had an aunt with that name.
Thank you for that
I'm so glad your OK Sue , I would not be brave enough to go up those stairs so kudos for doing it , great old cemetery can't believe those people 101 and 103 so rare to live that long enjoyed watching ❤
Thanks so much, Julia. I pulled a muscle in my leg but I'm OK again now x x
@@SerenitySueGraveyards oh dear that would of been very painful 😢 so glad your OK but please be careful x
Beautiful! And beautifully done! Eccept that step i hope you are ok! That's very dangerous! Alot of very old ages in that cemetary! I'm suprised there were no cautions inside what a calm & beautiful place!
I'm OK, a pulled muscle for a few days. I'm glad I went to see up top
Great video. Could you imagine back when people lived there going up and down those steps ever day and night? Plus they had lots more clothes on back then too wow.
So true, I'd never survive back then lol
The view from the windows is beautiful. I’ve travelled half of the world and never seen anything quite as beautiful as what we have in Ireland. We truly do live in Gods country, thank you for uploading this Sue, and as someone who also hates stairs I can tell you I felt your pain ❤❤
Thanks so much ❤️
Aloha!
You're so welcome 🙏
This place is STUNNING! The weather was beautiful, this is a wonderful video, thank you Sue, you're the best!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@SerenitySueGraveyardsYou & GV have the best channels to watch, a lot more history & beauty than here in America
What a magnificent find. Sue you be careful climbing those stairs.what an amazing view from the top. Makes me dizzy for sure. Beautiful find my lovelies
Thanks Aunty, I'm OK again now x
I just about lost my stomach when you got to the top of those stairs and overlooked the grounds below. I probably would’ve climbed them myself! Luckily you didn’t break anything in your fall. Like a trooper you continued on with the video. Thank you Sue and GV! Two thumbs up 👍🏻 👍🏻
Thanks so much ❤️
Thank you for taking me with you! I feel lucky to have seen that beautiful church and cemetery from my wheelchair in Kansas! ❤
You're so very welcome 🙏
Oh my gosh Sue! What you do to give us great content! This place was fascinating. I hope your foot feels better soon ♥️
My foot is fine, think I pulled a muscle in my leg though, thank you ❤️
Wow, that church is amazing. I too absolutely hate heights. I would have had a hard time walking up to the open areas and looking out. People in that area sure live to an old age.
Some great ages there, bless them all. I'm OK when up there but looking down the steps made my legs shake
Amazing old church and yard !!! Thank You both sooo much ‼️😎
You're welcome
What a fantastic find. Lovely building & grave yard & both well kept. I couldn't look when you came downstairs as l don't do heights (even watching on a screen) l felt your pain lol. Love & best wishes xx
Glad you enjoyed it
WOW that's Amazing. Thankyou for taking us upstairs 😮😊❤❤
You're welcome 😊
What a lovely surprise graveyard you ended up visiting! You’re braver than I, tackling those huge steps, but the upstairs area was fascinating! Hope your foot was OK after that last step back down. I recently took a tumble in a church parking lot. Put out my arm to break my fall and ended up breaking my arm instead! 🙄😁 I also love the round towers throughout Ireland. We saw the amazing one at Glendalough years ago. They’re just stunning. And the history behind them is fascinating. Thanks for another great adventure!
😊
Ahh you poor thing Bridget, nasty falls happen so easy. Ahh I adore Glendalough
I love to learn and see very old places. I suggest that, if you could give a little bit of the history of the place, it would be awesome.
I gave what I had. There's not much else about it
You crack me up! I made it. 😢
Oh I know those steps, it's always harder to come down...
My family always jokes that I can manage to fall in almost any kind of environment. Glad you aren’t hurt, but I bet you’ll be sore for awhile. Beautiful day. Greetings to you both from Ohio, USA.
Oh yes, my ankle is fine but my upper leg hurts so bad
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Sue,I am so sorry to hear that. Please take it easy and let it mend. Have a nice relaxing day.
Glad you're OK, Sue. I'm not a fan of heights either, and I'm tall. Lol
As always, fantastic video. Such amazing places you take us. Just wish we had places like that here in the States.
Thanks so much!
My foot was fine the next day, my leg is sore though, ahh Fitzpatrick is a fine Irish surname
I know it was dangerous and I'm glad you're ok - thank you so much for letting us see what was up those stairs, I did see the staircase as soon as you walked in but immediately dismissed my curiosity. Bravery kudos for you both!! I definitely would have done it myself if I were there.
Thank you ❤️
Amazing to see structures from the 13th/12th century in such good kept condition and the 2 souls that lived to 101 and 92 in there time was a great age for then...ty sue this was amazing, stay safe...may I suggest a walking pole with the rubber tip for when you venture stone staircases and such 😂 you made my heart jump too on the way down..ty again👌
Thanks a million
