If there’s one card that should have a 3% grocery category, it’s the Bilt card. If people are staying in a home they’re renting or paying a mortgage for, then they’d probably want to shop at grocery stores as opposed to eating out all the time.

I like the SavorOne card. It is great when paired with the Venture X.
The Citi Premier card is not bad given the breadth of 3x categories. This is especially pertinent when you consider the sign up bonus.

When I compared the prices of monthly services in my mind, I often compare to the annual amount as opposed to the monthly one since I'm locked in either way (unless somehow a competitor can beat FREE membership and have better value). Walmart+ for example, I pay $100 per year, not $150. Same with Uber Eats.

If you apply separately, you get the chance for the new cardholder bonus. I always think that is the way to go unless you are really worried about every point on your credit score, which most people shouldn't be as long as you are making all your payments on time.

A total of 7% cash back with the Amex Blue Cash Preferred. 6% from groceries and 1% from dining. The annual is $95 but the 6% on streaming services and 3% and gas make up doe the annual fee.

better idea (won't work for everyone, but for many): just get one card for grocery (the city flex, for 5%) and eat at home, cook all your own food. when you need to eat elsewhere, food prep and bring your own food. not everything is about %. you save far more money mostly eating and cooking at home, and only buying groceries, and getting 5% on those groceries, than you can save with any dining credit card. even if there were a dining card that gave you an absurdly high 80% cash back, you'd still save more money buy only eating via groceries rather than via restaurants. being able to cook and prep meals will save you more money in one year than a lifetime of using a dining card.
