I have two Invicta Pro Divers. One 8926 automatic from 2009 I have had since new. I also have a quartz 26972 Pro Diver that I just bought. I am happy with both. They run great!
I was lucky enough to scoop up two of them on the Invicta Amazon store for $48 each. However they arrived in green Pelican style waterproof boxes and the rotor/counterweight was silver and not yellow. All that aside I'm happy with my purchase.
Today I purchase it in USD65 #26970. I hope it works well, however I like its big daddy automatic version #29178 but it costs USD160, big difference from quartz to automatic.
At 160 USD I would recommend automatic watches from Aliexpress, better quality overall with the same Seiko movement. The quartz Invicta is a great watch, I hope you enjoy it!
I bought a black Quartz, loved it so much I bought a brown Automatic, both under £80(quartz £50-odd, Auto £79.99) Fair watch for fair money. (The people that say that it tries too hard to look like a Rolex, show me a stainless steel dive watch that DOESN’T look like a Rolex… Even Tag and Seiko look similar to a Rolex…)
I overpaid for mine, as I naively bought it while on a Carnival cruise where the prices are significantly higher. Still it's a beautiful timepiece and I'm not unhappy. I had no idea at the time that it was a Rolex homage, I just loved the looks of it. I got the gold and silver combination. Nice video, thanks!
The duel tone Gold and sliver pro diver is a nice looking watch, don't feel bad you over paid it's still a great watch, And now you know what to pay for next time.
I have the gold with blue face variant of this watch and I really like it, I have a collection of sub £150 watches ranging from Sekonda stainless steel to the standard casios and a Few G shocks and even though its not the most expensive one in my watch case. Its probably my favourite one to wear. The build and strap feel nice and solid on my wrist but also comfy and for low cost, the finish on it is nothing short of stunning, Did not realise it was a Homage to a Rolex till I seen this video, Although I was asked by a old fellow on a bus if it was a Rolex and was surprised when I said it was not but he agreed it was a nice watch.
If you want an alternative with very good lume, chase down an Orient Ray or be on the look-out for Kamasus on sale (they can drop under 180 USD). I can confirm the lume on the Ray/Mako/Kamasu will last till morning, unlike the Duro's or other brands' (Pulsar or Fossil). I intentionally left out another great cheap diver-style watch from Orient, the Kanno, because it does not have a lume pip, which makes it useless as a true diver or as a watch you would wear while sleeping (I set the lume pip at the hour I have to wake up, so I can see at a single glance how long I have untill the alarm rings). Dive watches without lume pips are useless.
I own 3 Pro Divers, Automatic, 40mm case, 2 in two tone, one in blue the other in gold and of course the all black silver! I'm totally happy with them and recommend it. Don't listen to Invicta haters watch snobs, these models are great! 🫡

These are solid Invictas, I am glad you are enjoying them!

That’s a great price for automatic Invictas! Enjoy!

Indeed a great watch for the money!
I think this watch is still the best homage on the market. I have this same model 26970 quartz with the screw down crown and i love it.
Happy to hear that!
How's the watches waterproofing? I've heard the cheaper pro divers aren't as high quality and tend to flood.

I am glad you love it, it’s still a great watch after all these years!

I just got the Invicta model 26970. Wondering if it has the seiko movement in it? Just curious.
Yes, it's the quartz Seiko PC32A.
@@simplewatchtalks Is the PC32a movement as good as the other seiko movement
@@RichardChang-yz2kiit’s honestly better and more reliable
@@debian-cb9tfBetter than the NH35A ?
@@radiocontrolled9181 I mean it’s quartz so yea
Is it better for large wrist
Better than? It’s a size that kind of fits a variety of wrists, so unless the wrist is really large, then it should work.
Well done, thx.
Anytime!
Does this model have the seiko movement in it? Nh35a. Just curious
This is the quartz variant, with the Seiko PC32A. The automatic variants have the NH35a.
@@simplewatchtalks My invicta seems to hold time very well! Love the watch. From far looks like a really fancy watch. I got for a steal of a price.
@simplewatchtalks What about the Invicta Automatic pro diver watch. What are your opinions on that watch? Is it worth getting?
Which is better, casio duro or this invicta, or timex harbourside
I haven’t experienced the timex, out of the two watches, the duro is way better than the invicta.
Invicta pro diver for sure.
Get the automatic watch with the screw down crown. Push pull crown on the quartz version will have questionable water resistance.
I will try to get my hands on an auto
I have this same watch and it comes with a screw down crown.

That is good to know, thank you for sharing!
A bit late! Looks amazing, nice to see the second hands hits the marker
I take it back, the second hands only occasionally hits it, i don't mind though hahaha!
Haha that’s what I was gonna say, I also don’t mind it. Thank you for the continuous support!!

These are great recommendations, thank you! I am looking at a few Orient options, I'll take these ones into consideration!
