Always pumped for an Ableton update. Been in since Live 7. Please get something going on the iPad 🙏🏼. Logic’s great but Ableton’s my baby and I wanna be jammin on the go with an iPush mini
Justin, I really love your videos and teaching style and was wondering if you had, or had planned to do, any videos on programming sounds (clean, dirty, solo) on the MX5. Thanks!
Hey Brian, thanks so much man! I really appreciate that. I haven't done any videos like that yet, but I have really been digging creating new rigs on the Headrush, so I might see if I can do a video like that soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
Great tips! For me that don't own a MX5, it shows me the different capabilities of the unit. I'm still deciding between getting a Headrush MX5 or a Valeton gp200.
Great question - as far as I know, the footswitches are only for swapping rigs, engaging pedal models, and accessing the tuner or looper - I don't believe you can assign effect parameters to them. Thanks for checking out the video!
@JustinBlair yeah kind of a drag that it's not possible but not a total loss either I suppose 🤷♂️ Sounds amazing though! Like the sounds I get out of it. May or may not trade it in and get the Kemper profiler player. Thanks for your response dude!
Hi there...thanks Justin, for all the tips.. I have one question...do you know how to Fix the delay switching when you press one of the three buttons to change rigs or Anything elese?... have a good one!
Hey how's it going? Just to make sure I am answering right - do you mean making the delay timing/bpm change each time you change the rig? If so, you just have to go into hardware settings, and change the bpm to 'fixed' - I hope that helps! Thanks for checking out the vid!
@@JustinBlair hey Justin...all good...no, my question is about when you are playing, and you press any switching button, the sound of that other scene or rig comes with a little bit delay, so, It sounds weird, sounds Like if you fuck up your your playing..jeje
@@energaiasolarpack Oh interesting! I don't know if I have experienced that... If I remember correctly, I think the rig switches when the button is released, not when it is first pushed down - might that be the issue? Otherwise, the unit might need a software update, just in case it's a glitch...
I actually usually attach it to another part of my board, which has my talkbox and some other random pedals, and put the whole thing into a larger carrying case. Thanks for checking out the video!
Thanks for checking out the video! I have not found a way to do that with the MX5, but it may be possible by using the midi out control - I actually haven't tried out that capability myself yet
Anyone?? How do I deal with the electrical whine without setting the gate to ludicrous levels? Thanks for any suggestions! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
@@JustinBlair Not what "I" would call high gain...but yeah..probably is. Worse than any 60cycle hum or hiss I've ever heard. Not that loud but piercing. Clamping the gate only disrupts the rig feel so I'm learning to live with it. Didn't have it on the original board I used to own. You don't have this sound?? Take care and Best Regards and Best Wishes!
@@hanovergreen4091 Ah man that's frustrating! Personally, I have not had this issue - Just to check quick, do all your cables/guitar/amp have this issue at all when NOT using the Headrush? Like if you use another gain pedal in place of the Headrush, do you experience this whine still?
It sounds good, easy to use but after 1 year suddenly endless hissing, crazy background noises... returned under warranty and replaced.... the new one arrived the day after and connected to the same computer IMPOSSIBLE TO READ THE USB DEVICE ... in practice it can be used as a sound card but it is impossible to transfer files from the computer to the device. Returned and bye... really a shame because the product is well made, it sounds great but the reliability is shit.
Incredible, just subbed
Hey thanks so much! I appreciate it - glad you dug the video!

Amazing video, thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much! I appreciate that!
Good video! Waiting for mine to arrive right now lol
Thank you! I appreciate it - The MX5 is awesome - enjoy!

Thanks so much for checking out the vid! I haven't tried the Valeton, but I have been loving the MX5. Great piece of gear at a great price.
Do you know if you can assign parameter changes to a footswitch or is this only done using the expression pedal?

Excellent
Thanks very much! I appreciate it!
Thanks for checking out the video! Got any HeadRush tips you'd like to share?
what do you use to take it with you? I cant seem to find a bag for it

A laptop bag works fine and will protect it and give storage for cables and stuff
@@RaymondUpenieks Oh that's a great call! Yeah that would be the perfect size - thanks for the tip!
For USA folks, harbor freight has hard plastic cases, pelican-style. The smaller ones fit the MX5 and some cables etc great
It would be nice if they add a talk box to the mx5. I love my mx5. I sold my amp and all my pedals. This thing does everything.
That would be awesome! Would love that. The speaker on the talkbox is pretty big, but I bet Headrush could find a way around it. Great idea
i'm very interested, but one question. Does it have reverse in a delay at all. thanks
Can you delete all rigs at once? I want empty rigs and start scratch on my own
Hi mate! Do you know whether MX5 has the function as a Gigboard to switch the channel of your real amp?

@@MrScrab13 Sure thing!

Thanks for checking out the video! What is the setup you are currently using? Are you getting that whine on every rig, or just certain high gain ones?

I didn't get an allen wrench?....
Oh that's weird! Well, if this helps, any 6mm allen wrench should work just fine with the expression pedal. Thanks for checking out the vid!
Neither did I.

Ah man I am really sorry to hear that! That's some awful luck... I have had mine for years and so far so good, but I'm sorry to hear about yours...
