- Dawn Humidifier Tips 💦
I am pretty sure that the instructions for where to put your essential oils in the Dawn Humidifier are incorrect. We have found, when you apply the oils to the bottom compartment by the ultrasonic membrane and then put the water in the top compartment, you smell the oils more strongly. Give it a try.
Also, if you missed the Dawn before she sold out last month, she is now back and available for purchase!
Found this so helpful, I put them in there and then second guessed myself because the directions did say you can add it all without taking off the lid. Thank you again so so much!
It's my pleasure.
this is amazing thank you so much for posting this !!!! I thought mine was broken. and ive been adding 35 drops of essential oisl at a time which is taking chunks out of my bottles!
I'm so glad this was helpful.
Yep, I was wondering why your pit the oils in the compartment that the direction says to. I am so happy I finally found this.
So glad it was helpful!
Wow! I knew something was off lol. Thank you for posting! I was so frustrated but I think I'll be much happier w my diffuser now 😅😅😅
My pleasure! Enjoy!
THANK YOU!!! I really wanted to love this humidifier, but just couldn't smell anything! To top it off, when the water was gone, you could see all the oils left in the reservoir. Definitely, faulty instructions. I think the oils destroyed the filter (from sitting in the oils), but I can't seem to find a picture of what it's suppose to look like.
It's my pleasure! So glad this info helped you!
I’ve been having the same problem. I’m about to return it.
@@3Bambie21 I hope this helps. Give it a try and if you are still having issues, definitely give doTERRA a call to return it.
THANK YOU!!!!
The mist steam starts out really good shooting up in the air, but then sometime during the night it starts dropping down (coming out of the mister & going down) & makes moisture drops all over the stand it is sitting on.
Oh no! I would give doTERRA's member services a call and see if your dawn is still under the one-year warranty for replacement.
I just received mine and it does the same. It builds up watter in the the top cap . Is that normal?
@@gabym2561 I would reach out to doTERRA's member services and the person who helped you get started with your oils. The diffusers come with a one year warrenty.
Thank you so much 😊 I can’t wait to get this in the mail
It's my pleasure!
Thank you so much 😘
My pleasure.
Thank you for this. Appreciate you 😊
My pleasure. So glad it was helpful!
Thank you!!!
So are u saying where the circle plate is where u put the essential oils in?
Then, add the water in the same spot? Or if not where?
I would suggest that you
keep the camera closest to
the diffuser. Turn it just right so we can see the inside of
the diffuser up close and
see where you're putting
the diffuser.
Yes, it’s where the circle plate goes. You got it. If you have an account with DōTERRA, be sure to reach out to the person who got you started with oils for support with your oils. ☺️
Hello. I just buy this. My question is :why there's water in the place you put oil? You put water there?Thank you
Yes. You put water there. Follow along with the steps in this video and reach out to the person who brought you to oils for support. They are going to be your primary educator and supporter with the oils. ☺️
This makes so much sense! But, what would you suggest then for cleaning the membrane?
make sure that the diffuser/dawn are dry and use rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and gently rub around the plate. The plate builds up a lot of oil so its best to clean once or twice a month depending on usage.
Awesome thank you!!
My pleasure.
Hey Laura, have you found that your Dawn leaks? We have two and both of them started leaking after a few months. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
Oh no! I would give doTERRA's member services a call. The diffusers come with a 1 year warranty. 800-411-8151
Is this cool mist or steam?
It’s a cool mist.
Quick question is it normal when we put it on the sleep mode it goes but then stops its that how it needs to be doing?
Yes. It is on intermittent mode during sleep mode and will run for a bit and turn off to maintain a
comfortable level of humidity.
@@DrLauraRicci Do you have any videos teaching wich oils you can mix to create
@@ivetten8502 I do. I send them to people when they get started with me with the oils. May I ask do you have an account with doTERRA?
@@DrLauraRicci no but my uncle does that's where we get our oils
@@ivetten8502 oh, awesome! We provide weekly continuing education classes, recipes, support, one-on-one calls, and a VIP education FB group to help and support our oils community. When you get started with doTERRA, the person you choose is going to be your primary mentor. It's kind of like you are married to them. I think it's so important to interview them and see what value and support they provide for their community. I share a lot for free on my social media and UA-cam channel, but provide even more resources and tools for our oils community. Plus, when you have your own account, you get points back on your purchases to snag free stuff. If I can help support you, Ivette, please let me know.
Hello. I have a question does doterra has a guarantee on the humidifier for some reason I think the sleep mode doesn't work or there's a way to see if can be restarted it
doTERRA does have a warranty for humidifiers and diffusers. I would reach out to the person who helped you get started with oils or call doTERRA's member services line for support.
I’m interested in purchasing this from doterra, would you say it has the same amount as smell as the regular diffusers ? Thank you ! Also awesome vidoe
When you add the oils this way, yes it does. Enjoy! If you are not already working with someone from doTERRA, I would be happy to help you order it.
@@DrLauraRicci thank you very much !! I actually am working with someone
Thank you !
@@nathansanchez2940 that is wonderful! You will want to reach out to that person for education and support. I am sure they would love to help!
So do I understand correctly that you are adding only oils (no water) to the bottom container?
Yes. Add your oils to the bottom. Then add water to the top and the water will go down into the lower compartment.
Hi, does this put out warm mist, or just cool mist?
Just cool mist depending on the temperature of the water you add to it.
I have this exact model of humidifier/diffuser from a different brand and two units stopped working after a few months. Would like to know if you have better luck with this one.
I've had this one for over a month with no issues. I also love the Anton by Stadler Form. I've had that humidifier, which is safe to use the essential oils in it, for over a year with no issues. You can find it here: bit.ly/drlauradiffuser and use coupon code DRLAURA for 25% off their entire site. Hope that helps!
Soooo, I had a chat with Customer Service and asked them about this and this was their answer ..."We recommend adding the oil in the top container. Also for warranty purposes, you definitely want to follow enclosed instructions, to not invalidate your 1 year warranty, if it should stop working."
Hi Darlene! You can definitely choose which option feels best for you. I have two Anton humidifiers and the essential oils go on the ultrasonic membrane and the water is separate in the water container. I can smell my essential oils in my Anton and we have experienced more benefits with our Dawn using it this way. It just doesn’t make sense to me to add essential oils to the water compartment. We add oils to the ultrasonic membrane all the time when using diffusers. I am sharing what has worked for us, but everyone gets to choose what feels best for them. ☺️
Hi Darlene, I also contacted CS and called 1800 number inside warranty manual, and they said they will cover the product no problem, (no matter which compartment you put essential oils), and that obviously the instructions were conflicting. They were also going to contact their manufacturing company and let them know. ;)
Hello! I just got ours its next to my bed would it be good to put hot water since it feels like it blows cold air and it makes it cold
Please send me an email at womenshealthcoach@gmail.com and we can talk more about this.
Do the diffusers make stronger scent even with this tip? I have the dawn and am thinking of getting the pilot for travel but also stronger scent. Is there a difference for doterra diffusers and how strong the scent is?
If you would like a stronger scent, simply add more oils and it will help. I have a pilot and love it.
I would love to purchase a diffuser from doterra, which do you feel is the best ? Thank you !
It depends on what you were looking for. What room did you need it for?
Hello! Do you put water in the bottom too? I am getting one but ill like to know if it needs water in the bottom too in order to put the oil drops
Hey Ivette! I just put water in the top water compartment and it flows down to the bottom on its own.
@@DrLauraRicci and then you add the oils after the water goes down?
@@ivetten8502 I add the oils first to the bottom and then add water to the top water compartment. I do exactly what I show in this video and it works well.
@@DrLauraRicci sorry to bother i am new to this whole oil things I am berly getting it this week 😊 also what oils do you recommend for stuffed nose?
@@ivetten8502 it's all good. May I ask, do you have an account with doTERRA?
If you want to add oils it to the top reservoir then you probably also need to mix in a bit of emulsifier or surfactant because otherwise yeah, oil is immiscible and so it's probably just going to coat the container walls instead of dropping down to the lower reservoir! The distributor (manufactuere?) even shows pictures of adding the oil just into the plastic knob below the top lid, where it doesn't even drop down into the water! I'd guess they simply don't want a lawsuit after someone puts too much of the wrong kind of oil into the lower reservoir.
How much water you put?
Just fill it to the fill line.
How do we clean the diffuser?
Thats a really good question specifically with the little filter🤔
I have several videos on my youtube channel showing how to clean a diffuser. I would check them out and clean this in the same way.
@@ivetten8502 I would love to hop on a call and help. I also have tons of videos on how to clean your diffuser in our VIP education FB group for our oils community when they get started with the oils.
