Dear Rigel! Thank you for the review, it's really helpful. Could you please confirm if Roam cannot be used while connected? It can work with battery if charged, only? Greetings from Poland!
I really like your video. I have quite a few of the diffusers you do except for the one you like the best, the Volo. My actual favorite is the new Pilot. If you put it on the intermediate cycle it will last eight hours! It needs to be plugged in to do that but it is very easily portable for use for several hours without needing to be charged. I love the fact that it’s so small, so quickly recharged, and so portable. I took it with us camping in June. We happened to have an ant infestation. I brought along a bottle of peppermint. Between spraying along the base of the tent and our dining area and diffusing with the Pilot, all the ants were quickly gone! My husband was beyond impressed! I do have a small home but this is my go to for most of my diffusing needs. I especially love that it has a five minutes on in five minutes off feature.
Hi Kathy! Thanks for your comment and watching. I appreciate you sharing your thorough experience with the pilot! I’m sure your comment will help someone else, too. Excellent tip about ants! So happy it worked for you. Thank you for sharing.
I recently purchased a Pilot. I learned a valuable lesson today. The MAX level is there for a reason. The device won't diffuse even if you have a layer of water on that maximum level marker. The water has to reach just below that point. Great design feature!!!
I have the diffuser that is the white portable heavier one that does not seem to be working, I cleaned it with alcohol because it wasn’t working. I had it plugged in for a long time. I’m not sure if it burned out the battery, I’m sad that it’s not working. I’ve had it for a number of years. 😮any wisdom on this would be good to hear.
this was an excellent video it helped so much, and the things you weren't loving in some of the diffusers I felt the same. thanks im gonna go buy multiple of the Volo.
great video and diffuser comparison. I have the dawn humidifier, like it but didn't know about putting the oils in first. will give that a try and see if that makes a difference.
Hi! Holiday Joy and Holiday Peace are a couple of our favorites. We also like anything with cinnamon, peppermint, frankincense, or the fir trees around the winter months.
Hi. I bought the pilot diffuser after watching this video. My question is : Is it normal that the pilot diffuser stops working while charging? It does not work when I plug it to the wall power outlet and only works when unplugged. Thank you!
That is an excellent question. I haven't tried using the pilot diffuser while plugged in and it's currently on loan to a friend. Send doTERRA a quick message via live chat tomorrow and see what they say. This is a good question!
I know you've probably solved your problem by now, but for others who might be interested, I can tell you that I use my Pilot while charging and it works just fine, so if yours doesn't, maybe there is a problem with that particular Pilot.
I have the original doterra tear drop, petal and the travel pilot. The pilot is awesome for travel. My petal is next to my bed but is making loud noises and am looking for a new one. I think I'm going to try the Volo. Thanks for the review made my decision a lot easier.
You’re welcome! You’ve been with dōTERRA awhile if you still have the lotus diffuser. I think you will be very happy with the volo. Thanks for watching!
I’ve been learning a lot from your videos! Two quick questions: 1) how do you clean your pilot or other diffusers? Can I clean with vinegar and water? 2) can you use the pilot as a portable humidifier if I just add water don’t add any eos? Thank you!
Hi! I’m so glad you are learning from my video! Here’s an article on how to clean your diffusers www.blissedmama.com/blog/2018/4/3/how-to-clean-your-essential-oil-diffuser/ The pilot diffuser would not work as a humidifier. The water droplets and reservoir are too small. If you’re looking for a diffuser that is also a humidifier then you would want the Dawn diffuser/humidifier. Hope that helps!
Hi! I’m not sure. Is it fully charged? Here’s an info sheet with a few trouble shooting tips. If it still doesn’t work send a message to doterra live chat or give them a call. They have the most friendly customer service reps! media.doterra.com/th/en/brochures/pilot-diffuser-instruction-manual.pdf
Hi. Thank you for the comparison amongst the diffusers. Could you please tell me between the roam and pilot, which one is quieter? Do they vibrate? If yes, which one vibrate stronger? Would the roam or volo be able to humidify a small room (less than 200 sqfeet)? Thank you very much! Have a nice day!
Hello, both the pilot and roam diffusers are quiet and do not vibrate (I would say the same for all the diffusers in this video). All of the diffusers in the video would also be effective in a small 200sq foot room. The least powerful one is the pilot since it is designed to be a car diffuser although it is the one I use in my hotel rooms.
@@rigelsmith My petal did vibrate and kept me up at night so I passed it on to my daughter. Why would you pick the Volo over the Petal since the Petal covers more square footage?
I have the Brevi for the bedroom. I like the color changing and how small it is. I like the Pilot for the car, but I wish the air intake was not on the bottom. Also, if you put bottles of oils in the case, the Pilot won’t fit. That’s disappointing.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the account password. I love any help you can offer me!
@Daniel Lance thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hello. You can see the comparisons including the square footage for all the diffuser from the video in my blog linked in the video description. Hope that helps!
Hi! The koala diffuser isn’t a permanent item so it’s not included in the review. It’s super cute if you were able to get one! The Volo runs the longest and is my favorite.
Thank you! I love my lumo diffuser but it has been discontinued by doterra and replaced with other diffusers in the video so I didn’t include it in the review. Thanks for watching!
The petal diffuser lasted me 5 yrs..Such an awesome diffuser!
Thank you very much for this presentation. You helped me to choose... I préfère the Volo and I will received it this week. 🎉
I’m new to Doterra and I love your educational videos about essential oils. Thank you Rigel ! 🙏🏻
You are welcome! Glad you like them!
Dear Rigel! Thank you for the review, it's really helpful. Could you please confirm if Roam cannot be used while connected? It can work with battery if charged, only? Greetings from Poland!

Do you like the dawn?
Would the pilot be too small for a large patio area? Id like to diffuse oils for bugs when we're outside
What were the two oils you recommended that your whole family loves the smell? Holiday Joy and what was the other one??? Thanks!

I'm looking for a travel diffuser for hotel rooms and I really like the one with the carry case. Do you have to use distilled water in it? Thanks.
I don’t use distilled water in any of my diffusers.

Hi Rigel, I have a question about Roam diffuser, so does it diffuse on its base or it is only charging? Thank you.
The roam will diffuse on it's base.
I’m looking for a new diffuser. My Petal is to noicy… Which one is the most quiet of all diffusers?
And do you prefer Volo, Roam or Laluz?
Hi! Volo is my favorite followed by the La Luz.
@@rigelsmith thanks Rigel 🌸
Nice video! I want to buy one, but I cannot decide. For you is better Lumo or Petal 2.0? Here in Europe is now Volo unavailable.
Thanks :)
I would go with Lumo if it’s available in Europe. It’s the one I’m using behind me. Enjoy!
I just got my first one the roam!
Learning about it !!!
Enjoy your new Roam diffuser! It is a beautiful one.
Is the roam able to sit on the charger and diffuse at the same time?
Yes, the Roam can diffuse while on the charger.
My pilot diffuser is blinking red. What does that mean?

@@rigelsmith Thank you so much!
Is the petal not available anymore?
Hi! No, unfortunately the petal diffuser was discontinued.
What is the diffuser in the background by your plant? Did I miss that one in the video?
Hi! That is the Lumo and has been discontinued. It was replaced with the La Luz.
Where is the cheat sheet?
Thank you for making the decision easier for me. I’ve looked everywhere and I’d rather stick with a brand I know.

I took the rubber off mine and it makes it easier to get on and off.
That’s a brilliant tip for the Roam diffuser!! I did that recently as well and it makes a huge difference. Thanks for sharing your tip here!
you can also call customer service and they will send you a thinner rubber band so its not as hard to get off and on but still prevents spills
