This was the very first PC build video I ever watched back when my younger self was wanting to get into PC gaming. Building a Borinator was my goal back then. It never came to fruition and I had to end up waiting, but the system I was able to build was much better so it was for the best and now the system I have is even better.
I actually had an FX6300/GTX 960 STRIX setup around the time this video came out
A build like that is what we call a high end PC here in Brazil.

***** Sorry, but the 4790K beats the 8-Core AMDs pretty easily, especially in emulation (due to AMDs only supporting SSE2).

Well compared to my previous AMD Phenom N640 Dual Core Processor the FX-6300 is awesome. I built my PC in mid 2014 & paired the FX-6300 with a GTX 770. I am more than pleased with my setup. I do agree with Austin when he said that he'd not use the FX-6300 with a pair of 980ti's, but in that case your budget has gone way over $500 so, that is
pretty obvious.

IM BUILDING A PC FOR MY FRIEND AND IT HAS THOSE EXACT SAME SPECS
+Realm Vortex Seems to be the "In" setup right now... I went 16gb RAM cause I got a deal on some 8gb sticks and went sapphire though.
The specs are pretty standard I also have a msi z97 pc mate and I'm upgrading to a 212 evo so I can get a minor overclock

odd enough I've had this case and love it, I'm working now to make it not boring lol. 3 purple Corsair fans later and a 5.25 x3 drive cage + 120mm fans mount later I realize it can be made to look sexy with a little customization

because I bought one, and I didn't have the money to get a different card to replace my 270, and my friend was selling his for $50 so I got it, and it is actually really good.
+Electro Portal Games ye but the 6300 underfperforms compared to similair priced intel cpus, that cpu is not a good gaming cpu as lots of games lack good multi core optimization. As such a simple I3-4130 will give you a lot better performance on most games...
For midrange 1080p gaming and casual video editing this PC is actually pretty good. The six cores will help, there's room for more RAM and the GPU is good enough for most games with medium to high settings at 1080p. The SSHD won't perform as well as a real SSD, but it's a good compromise between performance and price.

Been building computers for many years in cases such as this (The company I work for makes mainly low end rigs) and we always tie the cables away, it looks better and stops cables getting into the road of the Fans and such.
