so they turned dark arts into a passive thing that is helpful that's good, gave us an aoe rotation very nice, we can summon our inner darkness, and we have an inner release of our own...I love it so much!
I just started ffxiv about two months ago. I started as DRG until I beat the MSQ. I then switched and leveled NIN. I recently switched to DRK and beat Heavensward. Man, I love tanking! And they look awesome. Had such a blast with the first DLC. Starting Stormblood when I get off later. So psyched!
When you start dancing Fray should either 1) Start dancing with you, or 2) Do the /huh or /upset animation at you :D "What the heck, you summoned me just for this"
Dark knight is like my Jam, I so enjoy taking this edge lord class and transmogging it into an adorable looking knight who just wants hugs and every one to just get along. and bring doom and death upon thy enemies!
This is the reward for all the DRK players, who have continued to prefer this awesome class to the other tanks. This great job is for us 🖤 Thx for the video

So from what I gathered as a tank main (mostly play DRK though cause I love it's balance between the current two) is they are pushing a hard balance between the 4 with the tank stance and the similar potencies of DPS sure they look fancy but it's like a piece of other tanks I'm sure it'll balance out I hope but looking now it just feels like all 4 can roughly do the same thing just with different animations idk still gonna play it regardless lol
So, Larryzaur, idk if you're still bound to a contract but I'd like to get your opinion on something that is worrying me as a DRK main. What do you think DRK's identity as a tank is? WAR is the offense driven one, PLD is the protection, GNB is specializing in a lot of speed and on the spot mitigation... What is DRK's identity now that it has WAR's inner release and only 2 skills to worry about mana with? Also how does SE expect me to know what attacks are magic @.@
Well, I'm not Larry, but as DRK main I'd say DRK has been the middle ground between WAR and PLD, having offensive and defensive capabilities of their own. But with GNB incoming and changes made to prior tanks, we just have to wait and see, if DRK's only identifying traits will be edginess and magic mitigation. I settle on being DARKNESS with greatsword.
I can't decide if this is a Buff, a nerf, or am overhaul with enough of both not to tip the scales to either side, but it definitely feels like it'll take getting used to
weird that the living shadow timer already starts ticking the moment his spawn animation plays. And a slight delay before the AI launches the first attack. So technically only 17secs of uptime base on the video

Legit sad that Dark Passanger is gone. It's actually a really good skill. On 2 or more targets, it's a DPS gain per MP spent VS if you would spend the MP on anything else when 2 or more targets are present.

TBN proccing Dark Arts is perfect. My main complaint with old DRK was that TBN just granted you another Bloodspiller *yawn* but now, it's actually very interesting to use.

You say that you think we will like the changes Larry, but all I keep hearing from others on Discord and the forums is how bad it is because of trivial things like "Only one combo?" or "Only AoE Magic Def. CD?" I think most of the western playerbase just can't be happy with anything on the game.
I know this is late,, but I will forever miss Dark Passenger and low cooldown Abyssal Drain. They still gave Drk a line AOE attack, so I don't understand why they didn't let Dark Passenger fill that role. The new line AOE doesn't look or sound nearly as satisfying.
@@JohnDoe-nm3lg From all the stupid reverse curved blades, and the eureka final form looking like a butter knife youd buy at Hot Topic. I find beauty in simplicity. Same goes for over flashy katanas on SAM for me.

No changes to Living Dead? Well... Knowing your main rotation now includes Souleater I don't see much of a problem regaining HP back
