    You guys are great. Thanks for all the how to videos. My daughter and I rebuilt the brakes this weekend but we now need to do this. Because we aren’t getting any fluid to come out of master cylinder. Thanks again.

    This Vid helped me rebuild a similar Master....at least gave me hope to persist in getting that circlip out which is a major pain since the prongs from the snap ring pliers do not go deep enough...

    Screws in master cylinder cover are not Phillips. They are JIS. Japanese Industrial Standard. Phillips will strip the head. A JIS screwdriver like the Vessal brand is the only proper driver to use...the shape is different. Phillips screws are designed to cam out, JIS is designed to be used over and over.

    If only it was that easy, some brakes are a pain and more so are all these low quality seals that brake after 5 mins....pay $50 for rebuild kit seal breaks within minutes, look online can buy whole master cylinder for $25 (remake) ...imagine that the OEM seal only lasted 30 years.
    Great video

    hi John, on my 2017 Polaris 1000 Touring, I notice there are two tiny holes on the cap of the front master. If I squeeze the brake lever down and look closely at these holes, I see the smallest amount of fluid seeping out the holes. What are these holes for and im afraid of over tightening because I dont wanna strip out the screws and holes.

    I've tried with 2 diff snap ring pliers but can't find one that will fit into the tiny holes on the c clip (Honda Recon 250). What specific brand pliers are you using?

    Hi,
    I have a 2001 Honda trx 400ex, same brake module just no brake light. Quick question. My front brakes lock up after riding for awhile, i open the bleeder and let the pressure out then ill be good for a little while until i have o do it again. What could it be? Collapsed line, rebuild in need? Also, when i let the pressure out of one side the other sides pressure will come out to, so both wheels spin freely.
    Thanks

    While bleeding the brake, should you see bubbles coming up in the reservoir? I’m getting brake fluid shooting up a little from the reservoir and the brakes don’t work.

    I got my new master cylinder and installed it. I followed the instructions on bleed the lines but it fills like it’s not building pressure because when I release the pressure from the caliper very little fluid comes out. Do you think I need new calipers? I already have a new master cylinder and the lines are a couple of months old.

    • @PartzillaParts
      @PartzillaParts  5 років тому

      You might have an air bubble in the master.

    Do you have any idea what is causing a 1995 Honda 300 Fourtrax Front brakes not have any pressure? I pull on front brake handle it is has no pressure on it no matter how many times i pull it. Any idea? The master cylinder or air in lines? Thanks again.

    • @PartzillaParts
      @PartzillaParts  5 років тому

      Always try to flush and bleed the master cylinder and brake lines as a first step. It's most likely air in the lines.

      Thanks for the reply, I am finally getting ready to mess with it and I removed the brake hose line coming from the Master cylinder & it won't even pump nothing out of the Fluid box holding fluid with the hose off that was attached to it. So it is not pumping I guess still. Maybe needs rebuild or what you think still? Sorry to bother again and thanks again for any info.

    I wonder if this procedure is similar to Yamaha set up. But then Honda uses Nissin Brake master assembly’s.

    my pump keeps getting stuck.... just baught the rebuild installed it and it does the same thing im tryin to bleed the brakes so it can get some pressure behind it but it takes forever because i cant fully apply the brake due to the pump getting stuck..... think i just need a new master cylander its self?

    • @PartzillaParts
      @PartzillaParts  8 років тому

      +Aaron Wood Sounds like the master has had it. The bore is so small that it almost impossible to hone it out. Go ahead and replace it.

      My front brakes are completely hard to press and when I get the gas it doesn't move it feels like if someone is holding on to the front brakes so it doesn't move because the brakes are on without me pressing it.. What could that be??
