i just did this and the outer pad (non piston side) is pushing up against the rotor preventing it from spinning, they are all stock pads/rotor, any ideas?
It’s been driving me crazy I bought a set of ball joints for my 300ex do you know if you have to change the whole A Arm or can you press them because I bought a set of ball joints & the company says it fits my year make & model 300 ex
my 05 honda rancher is acting like it is got locked brakes looking for a possible idea jacked it up and still drags noticed when i was driving but there is no noise
hello I was wondering if you had a video on how to replace the rear brake on a 2010 Honda TRX420 FPA model Fourtrax Rancher AT.This model only has one caliper and rotor rear braking system. Your video how to replace the front brakes was excellent.... I hope you have one for the rear brakes as well. Thanks
I doubt I will get replied to so yeah but. I was having trouble compressing the piston I’m not sure if the caplier is bad or something else. It might be the pads or to thick or something
I have a honda rancher 420 it's the same as replacing the brakes on this other than it doesnt have shims. Anyway I installed new brakes and now the wheel wont spin Freeley any ideas on how to fix?
Usually they are. The brake calipers are going to be slightly different in size, but the process is the same. I have a Yamaha and this video was helpful.
I can assure you this won't work. You will put your pads in, and the rotor won't turn. Its because the floating pin is seized. Unless your 400ex is brand new, you will be buying new calipers because you will not get these out. That's a fact

Are these the same pads that are on the older model TRX400? Mine is a 2002
Partzilla this helped me a lot thank you
This was a great video thank you my kids will appreciate it using the honda again.
do the shims affect the brakes
Is it the same procedure with a 700xx?

Do you have a video on the back brakes for a 04 trx 450r
my 05 honda rancher is acting like it is got locked brakes looking for a possible idea jacked it up and still drags noticed when i was driving but there is no noise
I would start with your brakes. Are they out of adjustment so there is constant pressure? Bleed or flush the lines, go from there.

So would it mean I need new brake pads if my front brake is very deep squeezed before you can feel the brakes grab??
Not necessarily, start by bleeding the brake line.
So how does the outside brake do anything? There's no piston and nothing pulling it in
Im wanting to change brakes on my 2004 honda foreman rubocon 500, but i don't know how. Could you do a video on that?
We will add it to the suggestion list and see if we can get it done!

check fluid level and bleed. There is too much pressure on the rotor.
Partzilla okay, thank you of that doesnt work I will let you know!
hi the caps on my trx420fe are wedged tight used an impact screwdriver one one and damaged it any ideas thanks liam
You could try hammering in a way that'll make it rotate with a punch.
John u should make a video of how to remove a honda 250ex stator.
We will add it to the suggestion list!
After replacing the he front brakes the wheel is very hard to spin. It's like the brakes are set up
That moment you realize you aint got no pads on your brakes and have been using bare metal to stop your 09' Rancher 420
Same thing happend to me 😂
Is the rear supposed to have a shim?
Techenically. www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/atv/2007/trx400ex-a-trx400ex/rear-brake-caliper
are the procedures in the front the same as the ones in the back?

You should work on a yamaha yfz.thank you.
It's on the list!
How to remove the hub the little inner part of the wheel
What about when the caliber is freaking hard to push back. I can't get it to go back to make space for the new pads
Did you top off the reservoir and seal it? There may not be room for the fluid to back into the system.
You should get a bombardier ds 650 the parts are harder to find than a Honda
I have no problems finding parts
Do the rear
will this work the same for the honda 250ex?
Might be slightly different, but it's generally the same.
what are the lug nut torq values for a 2010 420trx fpa four trax rancher at
Should be 47 ftlbs
My caliber will not go back over the disk
Did you compress the pistons? There needs to be a gap between the brake pads large enough for the disc to fit.

Not a fact lmao
