2:44 Cut Man’s translation conversation with Yellow Devil Yellow Devil: I don’t care who you are, I ain’t lettin’ you pass until you give me something GREAT! Cut Man: Well, could I at least interest you in buying some chocolate? Yellow Devil: Chocolate? Did you say, “Chocolate”? Cut Man: Yes, sir! With, or without nuts! Yellow Devil: Chocolate?! Chocolate?!?! CHOCOLATE!!!!
I always did think it was weird that, despite having a very imposing physical build, the Yellow Devil never used any physical attacks in previous games. Nice to see that Powered Up added that smack attack, though I can tell it's a move players probably won't see too often, since staying close to a Devil usually isn't the best idea.
Wily Files entry 1: Yellow Devil A large machine, made out of a metal that can turn to liquid! However, this messes with it’s brain (the eye) and it ended up only able to say “Bumo.” It seems Iceman can understand what he says, though. Light Files entry 10: Roll Another helper robot, Roll would rather stay at Light’s lab to insure the robot masters Mega Man fixes are safe. She isn’t afraid to get in on the action though!
Yep, Yellow Devil gets new attacks, and while it is slower when splitting up here, it does have that tornado thing on both sides that reduces visibility, so despite having more time to think, you have less space.
Nope. The NES version is still tougher than any of the game's levels. The chunks come at near light speed, his weakness does as much damage to him as he normally does to you, there's invulnerability, and crissakes the eye is random.
I think the translation is this: "Hey,what are you doing here?Wily told me to eliminate any intruders.Leave!" *Mega Man's line* "How dare you!I will kill you!DDDDIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" His death line could be this: "Noooooooo...." *explodes*
+super gameplays Yeah but the pause glitch defeats the purpose. It's like using the Warp Whistles in Super Mario Bros 3 because you dont feel like going through 8 worlds.
Beat him on Hard Mode and say he's easy. He makes up for the slower splitting with new attacks. Not to mention the two tornados on both sides of the room that give you less room to see which balls come at you. So, pretty much, you have more time to think, but less room.
Yep this definetly reminds me of the original. Remember on the nes version when the sand blobs slowly came out you giving you time to think so the player would know when to jump? Or how you could duck under the second to last blob of sand instead of jumping over it? Yeah, neither do I
Ha-ha. Certain bosses are definitely easier on normal difficulty like Mr. Bumo here. Then again with the bubble boss, CWU-01P, it's way faster on both normal and hard in the latter stages of the fight than in the NES version. Because of the three difficulty levels, the game has plenty of challenge for all kinds of players, just like how Mega Man 10 did a few years later. Hope that makes sense!
His pattern only changes depending on the difficulty. This is normal mode. I've uploaded the hard mode fight recently in the Challenge Mode part of the playthrough.
***** I just finished Mega Man on the NES and the yellow devil fight had me wanting to rip my hair out. I just find it funny how they simplified it so much -- then again, I guess hard mode would be more = to old school Mega Man?
Yellow Devil's way faster on the NES version, but on the PSP in hard mode, he gets this laser attack that is very annoying. Honestly, this game can be pretty challenging in spite of its look. It's just that different bosses cause different problems now.
Kid friendly? Wut? But, like 90% of Megaman games (with a 10% of error frame) is rated E. Yes, i know that game was harder, but this is a 2000's game: when people, even kids, don't have enough time and patience to go trough a hellish difficulty game; and when developers don't need to fricking make unfair challenges to make their games longer. (I mean, on this little portable game; they managed to put an easy, medium and hard mode; another mode which is a recreation of the original Megaman; 10 different characters; challenges; and even a level editor) Well, now there is another point: This game is easy....because Megaman needs another approach more audience and new fans, you know, like other 80's-90's game characters that are still more succesful, like Mario and Sonic. In other words....I want a new megaman game, soon.
Hm... I know this is a bit late.... but is there any way to pass through 1:36 as Gutsman (on Hard mode) without taking any damage? This is the only part preventing me from having a full no damage run as Gutsy (and as every other character)😑
Yellow devil: Bu, bumoooo?! Bu, bumomomomo?! Bumomomoooo!! Me: I think what he says was: Get out my way?! How would I let you get out of my way!? I'll show you to get out of MY way!! Bumo!! (It's go time!!)

The conversations with the Yellow Devil always make me laugh.
Yellow Devil spitting some straight facts.

the guy who voice the yellow devil probably has a lot of fun with his job
"Bumo" is his catch-all word since that's all he can say.
Or maybe...it's his name...?

It seems that Ice Man is fluent in "speech patterns of someone with special needs".
In the Hard it is difficult like the NES, is much more faster and the pattern pretty tricky.
ShyGuy100000 yup this video didnt help at all haha

Well, YD’s balls in the NES version matches the pattern on Hard Mode. The only difference is his attacks when he reforms.
