For me, the devil in Megaman X5 was indeed à devil. Weakpoint always at a different place, the green after image who reduces the room, the transformation, honestly, hard but one of the best

The Green Devil in Mega Man & bass proves me that the developers instead of making a new opening stage boss they reused the Green Devil because they probably got lazy
omg they actually addressed that it is unable to move in humanoid form in that x dive pop up. That's too funny! We knew power fighters weren't 'canon' but still haha.
Power battle has some of my favorite sprite art of the original yellow devil. Capcom's sprite artists became true masters by that point. Mk. III is the one appearance where it feels like the art is a bit underwhelming compared to the gelatenous looks they had prior. I'm not nearly as big a fan of the segments just coming in as squares, at least on a game more detailed than the 8-bit sprites. The liquid look is so much nicer.
This is the best compilation video I've seen, mostly because you don't use the pause glitch thus showing the fight, however I feel like it's missing the non-retro mode of Mega Man Powered Up, as it not only has a different weakness and dialogue, it also has different attacks, especially on hard mode. I just feel if Power Battles gets both battles shown then Powered Up deserves the same. To tell the truth as a kid I could only beat the retro mode or easy mode versions of him, especially since easy mode literally doesn't do anything. Normal and hard were too much for me. I should probably replay Powered Up on a PSP emulator. It's definitely one of my favourite Mega Man games. Wish we got a sequel.
Powered up has different versions of Yellow Devil? Never played Powered Up all on other modes. I couldn't miss out on different attack patterns in Power Fighters/Battle. Also, I needed to show off the pause glitch. It's too much fun
I have always hated this boss. So damn tedious. he isn't even hard, he just takes a million years to kill because he stays invincible for long periods of time.
There's a quick kill trick you can do with the MM3 Yellow Devil where you stand under him just right after he's reassembled & hit him with the star weapon. It attacks faster & does more damage.

Well I learned more about the devils I didn't even know existed in games that I never heard of, so that's something. The Mega Man Zero ones (having beaten the first 3 games myself) I have to admit I couldn't really get accustomed to the move set at the time so I just did the stupidest thing all the time and tried to brute force it with very mild succession.
@@MegaYoYo Yeah I know it's a nightmare with some stages and bosses, like in Zero 4 (started that one over a year ago never finished it) when you fight one of the antagonists I think in the 2nd act of the game I think its in the camp that the humans set up where you fought the guy. He has a move set that I can't really get around on specific cues. Even knowing his weakness didn't really help much either to make that fight go any faster.

Maybe if it had some of the iconic moves or attacks. Man the exo primal version is so awesome

Mega Man X5 was fan service at its finest. Shadow Devil being A DEVIL and turning into Wily Machine 6. And THEN Rangda Bangda W, and THEN Quick Man and Bubble Man stage remixes with music too. AND X VS ZERO!! (X2 had it as well which was also a badass fight but X5 is the conversation right now) it truly does suck that the series kind of went downhill from there. X8 was decent, and X7 gets too much hate. X6 was awful though, easily one of the worst games ever made. And of course, in the recent years, we had the legacy collections, and X Dive. I’ve never played X Dive, and 30 dollars is bullshit for that. But, this video is about devils. So yeah, Shadow Devil is stupid cool and I love it so much.
I love to hear some love for MMX5. It's one of the last X games that I enjoy playing. I don't touch 6 and I loathe anytime I have to boot it up for recording practices. Sometimes I wonder what the Megaman franchise would look like if Capcom didn't decided to make X6-X8 and leave at X5 like originally planned

The MMZ games are hard to brute force. The high damage output and resilient enemies make for a tough experience.
