Kyosukedono Not many gaming failures make me angry but this one sure as hell is one of them! When I think about how folks turned their backs on this re-imagining of MM1 it makes me livid. I really enjoyed the cuter everything about it. Capcom shoulda gone ahead with the second one and put it on DS/3DS along with a rerelease of this one. What the hell happened indeed 😥

It was fun, if hard at times, and had a ton of personality behind it.
Too bad we didn't get more games like this, but at least Capacom did eventually give us 11.

Cutman thinking that HE is the protagonist and Rock has gone rogue is actually a clever mythology joke. Originally, Cutman was supposed to be the playable robot master.

Good news for you, if you beat the Robot Masters using only the Mega Buster, you can choose to play as them, and they have extra abilities to make up for only having one weapon

@@victoracuna9548 That’s true. However, the Mario games are developed by a first party company exclusively for their consoles, and Mega Man games are developed by a third party company for multiple platforms. Plus, some PSP games have been ported to console before, so it still could happen.
"Please! My robots... your friends, you must stop them!" I don't see how these robot masters are even Mega Man's friends. They we're built by Dr. Light which clearly indicates that these robot masters are Mega Man's siblings.
What I liked about most of the game is that you could play as the robot bosses
I still remember at the time, you saw Roll in the end of the NES game, but the game never said who she was, so you kinda were lost on who she was till later on.
This needs a re-release and a sequel
At least just ONE sequel is all it needs. Megaman 2 is the best classic game and would have been incredible in Powered Up style.

MM2 is definitely not the best classic MM game, it's just simply overrated. There are other good MM games that I think are much better. But as for Powered Up remakes, I think the first three Mega Man games would be enough.

It was a pretty challenging game imo. The fact that you have to unlock an alt megaman that can chargeshot OR another that can slide and use those to be able to to either, also some jumps are very tight specially in gutsman's stage and timeman's.
@@brianli6562 dunno what you're talking about with 'either/or". i unlocked megaman C for winning on normal and he has BOTH charge shot and slide.
@@Femaiden dafuq? I had to unlock megaman S first that could only slide and then unlock megaman C that could chargeshot and i forgot if that one could slide.

It was originaly going too, but becausse of poor sales, it was canned by capcom even tho it had positive reveiws

Ubisoft wanted their generic zombie shooter on the WiiU to sell like a money printer, and it didn't. Cause it was a generi zombie Shooter on the WiiU.
Capcom was doing the same here.
While MMPU was actually decently good, it was still the PsP.

Even though Oil Man and Time Man wasn't in the original, their stages make you wonder how'd they look in that game, like they're scrapped areas from Mega Man 1.
There's a canned robot master that was actually meant for the NES game called Bond Man but they decided to make another new robot master for Powered Up in lieu of him in order to keep his mystique
(I looked this up on the Fan Wiki) Apparently there are construction Packs that Show what their stages would look like in the Original Game.

I wondered why this wasn’t on the DS too. They could have a lot of milage with using the stylus and bottom screen to make levels. Also, it’s the more popular portable console.
ThomasFan1945 ProductionsTM Archive Channel its actually because of Capcoms ties with Sony + the fact it uses a disk. The DS actually can render much higher quality textures at a higher threshold (512x) compared to the psp (128x)

I would totally play this, but I don't have a PSP. I agree with everyone else. This needs to be brought to console.
You don't need to get a pc. Though it would be more fun. You can download a rom and install ppsspp. Available both in pc and android.

They call him Mega when his name (before Mega Man) is actually Rock

Mega is just a nickname
This is done because Rock is the name given in the Japanese market (as Rock Man), and since Mega Man is the official localization outside Japan, his name was given as Mega
Mega Man makes more sense cause he’s able to absorb other powers, and he was made from human to cyborg. Rock man sounds cool though, but idk why they call him that in Japan.

I find it jarring that Light and Roll call him "Mega" instead of his actual name, Rock. He doesn't become Mega Man until he gets modified into a combat robot, but whatever it's a kids game.

This is exactly like comic book backstories from the 50's and 60's. A kid named "Mega" asks to be made into a robot and a scientist does it, then calls him MEGAMAN. END OF BACKSTORY.

How do they just run through the entire thing without getting hit ? I wouldve died the first 30 seconds of the game.
This game did 2.5d much better then Mega Man 11. This game has bright and colorful stages and backgrounds, while 11 has alright floor and ceiling tiles but pretty dark and absent looking backgrounds. Pretty sad considering the game's music is pretty awesome.

Seems like my two favorite students are fighting. The funny part is they aren’t fighting over my research due to them both having destroyed it a couple years ago and made sure I didn’t do anything horrible. The best part of it is that they never know what I am. Oh this is going to be fun!
Note to self, in case both die, invade earth with experiment that actually works for us. The quake experiment was a success but need to find a way to bring the ranger back.

you should do a run with oil man. you’ve gotten though the game so good with oil slider. so if you play as oil man he’ll have unlimited oil slider!
