After his twin's wake, James spends an afternoon with his brother's ex-boyfriend, learning more about his brother and more about himself.

You don't start kissing someone in the moment they are breaking open their grief for the first time. That's so not on.... Hold him, yes, and nurture him, but give him some space first. It's such a tender moment to take advantage of just for a one night stand.
At first I am totally against why the ex took advantage of the brother in his vulnerable state. But I watched the last scene, I got something. James is internal homophobic and his feelings and actions with his brother got him deeper into closet and behaved as per social standards while hurting his brother.
Travis got to know of the brother's love and he couldn't get loved back because Jeff is loving James, he brokeup and then got other boyfriend.
Now, Travis got James out of the house, spent day together, got to know him. Knowing all along James is gay, got him tipsy and tried to kiss him, then let the secret out and holded James until he collapsed and let out his feelings.
Now, Travis kissed James again and lead to sex. Here, Travis got boyfriend, James acknowledged his love and grief for Jeff, both loved same person, but they had sex. Its like Travis kissed because he knows if not, James will feel sad and eventually go back to closet. So, he pulled him out completely through the gay sex. James is very much like Jeff but then he hid himself and acted opposite. He naturally likes Travis and Travis likes back as brothers look similar.
Next morning, Travis leaves, saying Jeff loved him too, giving James a closure. James decided to openup his personality and sexuality as what is best way than behaving like Jeff and Travis, damaging car of the ignorant homophobic shit for his words at funeral. He did infront of the man symbolising he is cameout and not afraid anymore.
To me Travis the line when he kiss his ex's brother (James) at a moment the brother was extremely vulnerable. A lot of gay's that have a twin the other twin have same tendencies of the other twin. Still it was the wrong time. It was almost like date rape to me. The the unspoken word of NO, forcing himself on the brother. The vandalizing the car was not the right thing to do to me.. I would've have spray painted the windows telling the world the owner is a Homophobe, no real damage done to the car but a misdemeanor charge, but the real damage was done to the owner reputation telling all what type of person he is.
@@dthompson722 Painting a “homophobe” sign on the car wouldn’t have shamed the old man because at the funeral he seemed to be very proud of it. Plus, putting that sign on the car may connect the the protagonists to the crime.

I agree that it's not the time. The character "doesn't care about anything" though, so he's there for the nut and the conquest, and his parting line kind of seals it too. James is the hero of the story, not travis.
This made me cry - my ex died 2 years ago, his folks pretended (even though we split up 10 years before) we had not had a relationship. We bought our first house together, I had to hide everything with a gay reference in my book shelf & he pretended to sleep in the back room.
I miss Scott.
I don't miss his folks attitude how they treat me at the funeral - she made out he had lots of girlfriends since I moved away, but his 'close friends' at the funeral where all gay men.

i don't know how i feel about travis taking advantage of james' vulnerable moment and kissing him but it did help james come out of his closet and face who he is in reality!

I like that ending how he took that advice if breaking something. This was a great short film. Left me thinking about things and even after 6 years as I’m writing this comment, it ages well. Great acting!

Wow, Great short. You know I love short movies and hate them at the same time because some are so good that you wish they were feature films instead. Nice acting from the two leads. I love James character and the title is brillant. Damn i wish this was longer.

That was a beautiful short film. I especially liked the ending, with him standing up for his brother instead of just trying to keep the peace, like he did in the beginning.

A better approach is to include all manner of human behaviour but show both the positive and negative effects. And don't try and tell my smoking dope has no positive effects, that's as insane as those who try and tell us it has no negative effects.
Next you'll be suggesting nobody should be seen drinking alcohol in movies. If your approach is to be consistent the drinking of alcohol should be banned on screen considering it destroys more families, relationships and kills far more people than marijuana.

The claims you make though are validated in my experience but you don't need an extender of any kind. Penis enhancement exercises can accoplish the same effect . Be warned though, anyone contemplating going down this path should know it takes a huge amount of dedicated effort over years and there are significant risks to be avoided. To buy and an extender over the web and go it alone is a recipe for disaster.

It's possible for it to happen, but the majority dont engage in incest and its creepy to imply it even for a joke. It makes things hard and uncomfortable for twins.

YES there was incest. The psychic bond between identical twins can be very strong. It's not unusual for identical twins to experiment sexually with each other during adolescence. Since they share a similar physique, mind and background they don't see it as incestuous. They see it as a form of masturbation but with "themself" so to speak. And because they are psychically connected it is mutually intuitive between them. And this does NOT carry on into adulthood. It is a shared experience and then life goes on.

Hmm, I'm not sure either. I think it can been seen in more than one way, but this is how I saw it: Both of the twins were gay, but the one who survived actually had a harder time admitting it. Going with his dead brother's ex was a way of continuing his love for his brother. I don't think the ex was either a 'good' or a 'bad' character. He was also mourning the loss, but not as much, and probably did want to help in his own way. The ending was James standing up against homophobia, which would have not been only cathartic for his own struggle with homophobia, but also with his grief.

Travis is the type of guy I avoid like the plague. Inconsiderate, selfish, brash, aimless, and a host of other adjectives.
On second viewing this is a superb effort in direction, dialogue and acting only ruined in parts by incompetant audio that manages in parts to totally drown dialogue with background noise. Wouldn't be so frustrating if this was a crappy movie, but it's not.

Brothers (twins?) One forced to be "good guy", because the other plays the "bad guy", yet in reality they are closer than family/friends have forced them to be. Great story.well done, though main brother does need to learnt cry!
