I also enjoyed seeing the armoured spearhead rite of war, and a good illustration of how the DA hexagramaton rules allow the force to deal with different threats. The armigers probably survived a bit better because the DA weren’t rerolling 1’s against them! Once again, really fun report, thanks guys.

Great game. I think this showcased the importance of actually playing the whole game out. A lot of back and forth, a lot of big explosions. Whenever something big goes down it hurts more, but its important to see the whole picture and play all turns of the game. Keep up the good work!

Great battle report! First time I’ve seen Knights in play. Kayron rolled well on his objectives. And like you said, some of those big Knights get removed too easily. Getting rid of those Predators really helped Kayrons survivability.

Awesome game as always! A couple details i noticed. Magna Lascannons are not "Arm" mounted but "Hull", and they are twin linked!

Hi there! Yep you are completely correct they are Hull mounted, my mistake, thankfully the knight would’ve had enough movement to adjust itself to still see everything it wanted to shoot so I don’t feel too bad 😜 And wow you are right! They are twin-linked hadn’t noticed as when I checked the armoury page it just refers to a single Magna-lascannon. Thanks for that! Makes the big mama all the more worth it 😂

Great game as always and very fun to watch despite horrible rolls for one side! Knights are not as bad as people think. Blasts specifically can hit everything in a unit btw, so the last Knight should have died as well.

@@SNBattleReports you did not remove the last termie since it was out of line of sight from the big blast at 11:11:50 despite 6 failed saves, claiming the last model was not seen, but Blasts can kill models outside of LoS. No biggie and easy enough of a mistake to make but it is a nieche little thing to remember. Good game as always and would love some showdowns between the more tuned lists and/or discussions on how to adjust that meta. In my mind Blood Feud has always been ”The Great Skew Killer” through pure mission design for example.

You are completely correct there with blast being able to kill things not in line of sight, but in our case it was because the last termie wasn’t hit by the blast template as I couldn’t grab all 6 under the template. We might’ve said out of line of sight rather than not under the template in the video so sorry for the confusion. 😅
@@Caru0356 same thing with models not being hit by the template, blast hits can be allocated to any model in the unit, very clearly stated in the rules. It’s different from normal hit allocation so easy enough of a mistake to make.

The Dark Angels list was too tailored for the Knights, creating a lot of feels bad moments there in that first turn. But as usual it's actually the armigers that are the best things about knights. It is tough to deal with so many high wound, Line models. I have a lot of knights and yeah, the big knights are just disappointing like many other vehicles are in Heresy right now.
I will say that how things ended up here are is also why I like Heresy compared to 40K. You just never know how things are going to end and you have to play everything out.
Well we needed to t slightly tailor the list if not we wouldn’t have stood a chance. When facing an army like that you need guns and this mission and it’s a must! Imagine not having all those lascannons we would have finished by turn 2 😆
Agreed. Amount of tanks was fine. It's the sheer amount of tailored rerolls that made it so one-sided

I disagree that it was too tailored to knights. I think its just a byproduct of the large game size. More toys on the field.
you just so happened to take all those lascannons which rerolled 1s against tankss, thats not tailored. oh wait i also took a dred with double lascannons

This list was WAY too tailored overall. Knights aren't in a good place game-wise and tailoring this hard against them leads to a lot of feel bad moments overall.
This game didn't really feel fun at all and I can tell Kayron was doing his best to be a good sport.
They won the game anyway by quiet a big margin in points and with much more units left on the table. Imagine if the list wasn't like that with guns to cater for them...
