In relation to that rules query about the Hold the Line.
It's a morale check but if you fail a moral check you do fall back. Which means if the charger rolls high enough they can cut down the target.
It's a really all other nothing reaction because it's very powerful. All bonuses (legion, weapons, extra attack) that trigger on a successful charge are cancelled
But you can’t fall back in the one here right? Only the ZM one
@SNBattleReports I though it you fail a morale test you automatically fall back.
I could be wrong but played the other day and it happened to my opponent and he informed me he now has to call back. One the final position was determined I rolled my charge and cut him down.
I didn't think this until that game
@@warkatwargaming2358 pretty sure youre correct here, you fall back and then if the charge is successful you get cut down
Legion bonuses don’t get cancelled by HtL.

What a great timing with bringing Iron Hands to the studio. I am just getting ready to start my new project for Shatered Legions (Istvaan V survivors), despite them having no rules. Really cool game, awesome models (DC could do some weathering on his brand new fresh from the factory tanks), maybe they will perform better when looking a bit more "experienced"... and also don't forget that when Champion is in a challenge his buddies in the same combat gain fearless.

I love to see IH on the channel! On the first turn the daemons should have gotten their feel no pain against everything the dread had because they are T5 on the first 2 turns.

Great battle report! I don't know if someone has already mentioned it but invulnerable saves are the only saving throws that can be made for dangerous terrain tests.

@@SNBattleReports the Brethren of Iron Rites(don't know if you're memeing and it's going over my head! Haha) it allows you to take some automatons like a thanatar, castellax, Vorax, some WB unique ones..
Grav Weapons: roll below your strength ,so a four is a wound on a normal marine.
It’s a strength test which passes if equal to or less than the models strength, 5/6 is a fail for marines

@@TheMightyDilks Instead of rolling To Wound normally with this weapon, any non-Vehicle model that suffers a Hit from a weapon with this special rule must instead roll under their Strength on a D6 or suffer a Wound (a roll of a ‘6’ always counts as a failure).
NP mate, that makes Grav not quite as useless, still the Bombard is far better with 2D6.
Per the Age of Darkness Core Rulebook errata/FAQ; a unit making a morale check for the hold the line reaction, falls back if the morale check is failed.

Great game so far! Worth remembering that when a Champion is in a challenge the unit he is in gains fearless (not sure if you pick this up later).
I constantly need to remind DC! It’s such a good rule!

Can a unit charge the troops within a transport if they just shot at the transport?
They're technically a different unit, but I do feel that it both makes good sense, and is in the spirit of the game.

So if you blow up a tank with a unit inside you can charge with that same unit when disembarked with the unit that fired at the tank.

@@sn_dc Well, that would be amazing. For me they are playable only with fix that came from Liber Panoptica.
Small, but really needed changes like the one you can't turn off SoH special rules, 5 ppm less for Power Weapon on Reavers or Spartan for Justaerins.
I believe it's worth checking.

So very first shot, why is the Rhino not getting a 6+ cover save from the Saber shots for all the intervening models? Has to be 25% covered. Also, if the Rhino is hit by a penetrating hit, the guys inside need to take a leadership test to see if they are snap firing I belive. Also just noticed at 58mins, didn't you forget to remove the 5 dead guys in the Sons of Horus tac squad?

This is the Nârik Dreygur model with change of arm weapons and a knot at the top
He was a limited model unfortunately, one of my favorite sculpts ever. Still haven't painted mine. I can't decide if I want to paint him as him or use a base for a praetor.

Couldn’t quite tell if the melee immortals were on an objective. just throwing it out there, within company of bitter iron they should have a 4+ FNP from heart of the legion. I coulda missed something but it seemed like someone might have forgotten 🦾

You can download the Daemons of the Ruinstorm pdf for free from GW, that’ll give you the Daemon rules. Then you upgrade a Centurion to an Esoterist which lets you summon!
