I love Deddy’s Kitchen channel. Thanks to them, I have made my Beef Lasagna, Christmas Black cake and potato salad. Every time I want to cook one of these dishes, I tune my phone or tv to their videos. Let me tell you, their recipes are tasty and I am not yet disappointed. Never gets old. Thank you from a fellow Jamaican. ❤
Thank you for introducing me to Flavorize. It is an all purpose seasoning whether for meats or vegetables. Love the channel. God bless you and your beautiful family
Sheppard pie is actually made with lamb. What you made is cottage pie. In any case it looks delicious as all your meals do. I love your channel and I am a subscriber since day one.
It looks so scrumptious, if you mixed in the vegetables with the meat to allow some of the moisture to evaporate before topping it with the mashed potatoes, it would set more firmly. Nonetheless, I can tell that it was super flavorful and the presentation was impeccable!
Everything is so delightfully looking good and ready to eat May the lord continue to shine on you your family love ones and viewers enjoy have a joyful day
Am looking frome Sweden, i love this program. And your Lovely family. I love to Cook. Spacy food. My sons father are from gambia so cook much african food. Love to your family🥰❤️🙏
First time making this and thanks to Deddys Kitchen family loved ❤ it.. I appreciate you taking your time to give us step by step to pure deliciousness. I'm excited to try your rasta pasta recipe 😊🎉... Thank you nd how ya say lord have mercy !!! GodBless you and yours ❤❤
I’m sooo excited watching this video! For 1, cause it’s in Deddys kitchen. And 2, I only tried to make Shepards pie once. It came out messy and falling apart 🤣 but it was good. I’m gonna try it this way next time 😊
I have made this vegan by using a vegan ground made out of mushroom and instead of potatoes I have used mashed cauliflower. It is an acquired taste, but I love it.
The reason it’s called Shepard’s Pie is because it’s made from Lamb. There is also Cottage Pie made with beef. I have never heard of that pie made with Turkey.
We make ours with Mince Turkey too, because we are not really beef eaters. It's hard to find Mince Lamb in USA & generally Lamb only available during the holidays, like Easter or Christmas time. I'm British Jamaican, and yes traditional Sheppards Pie is made with Lamb as a rule & cottage pie made with beef 👍🏾😉 PS: I normally mix in the mix veggies in the meat, not in between like how Deddy does his in layers & I don't put tomato paste/sauce in mines, I make gravy, sometimes I'll put grated cheese in the mash potatoes & on top....Cos my Hubby love cheese 😝
I am from Ireland and lamb is very plentiful. They can be seen grazing in the fields all around the country. I wonder is there is a unique name for the pie that is made with Turkey. We only use Turkey at Christmas.
I would love to taste this. Deddy uses sooooooo much seasoning, I will have to taste, tooooo much seasonings for me, but each to its own. Don't come fuh me just commenting on what I'm observing🇬🇧
Shepherd's pie...I know what you mean, it's been years since I've made one too🤣...we put cheese on the top in my country, I will def try Deddy's version 🙌🏾
A lot of those seasoning products contain so much salt and MSG. When I make a recipe such as this, I will use less of the seasonings but try to retain the integrity of the recipe.
@@coxval2635 not good for our health, it gives food that instant delicious good taste, increase blood pressure, no, no, not good at all,(monosodium glutamate MSG!!!)
I really enjoy that he's not ignorant to different foods, I find when regular ppl on UA-cam do cooking channels whether they be Italian, Mexican etc etc they tend to get tunnel vision when it comes to what they cook. With what he does it keeps every episode fresh and different. I personally get bored watching the same shit all the time. It's cool how he takes a typically bland dish like this and adds his own flare to it.
I've never made gravy of any sort with Shepherd's Pie...I use leftover leg of lamb (grind it) and add peas and carrots and diced onions and garlic in it with a nice hearty layer of mashed potatoes on top. I use a can of undiluted Golden Cream of Mushroom soup to bind all the meat and veggies, which gives a nice creamy texture to your meat and veggies.

Deddy has the veg type right because zucchini and peppers might spring water and soggy up the filling. These mixed pease carrots & corn will bake up better (form) after going in the oven for the last cooking phase… just sayin ❤
I never had Shepherd Pie 🥧 but I had something maybe similar or not but the Mexican cornbread is good now I see mash potatoes mix in 🙃 nevermind that’s totally different lol
The dish is of Irish origin, traditional is lamb with peas and carrots only. The meat and veg are combined as well. This one here is a personal variation😊
Correct- if the meat and veg are combined in the pot it would be more firm because the veg releases too much moisture when placed separately on top of the meat.

It's not cottage pie, cottage pie is made with beef.
Well he’s using turkey meat so it isn’t shepherds pie nor cottage pie but it looks tasty regardless
It looks so scrumptious, if you mixed in the vegetables with the meat to allow some of the moisture to evaporate before topping it with the mashed potatoes, it would set more firmly. Nonetheless, I can tell that it was super flavorful and the presentation was impeccable!
🔥Looks good i usually put a little shredded cheddar cheese on the top give it a nice little crust

@@deniecemack3712 I've never had a problem finding lamb here, but oftentimes you have to ask the butcher for it or order it ahead of time.
