Probably the most thoughtful, balanced, useful software review I have ever seen. Thanks for giving us the pros AND cons, and a good sense of what the software feels like - looking forward to more like this!!
This sort of product is becoming more and more a necessity as high end virtual drum products focus entirely on kick, snare, toms, and cymbals exclusively. Superior Drummer 3, for example, does not even have a cowbell!
Great review on a product I will soon be purchasing. I agree that this will become part of my basic template.

Good demo. How can I record the pattern from SSS record in my DAW Studio One?
Never heard of this before. Pretty darn useful for $100. Only thing I might add is a higher instance of round robin samples because the samples, though recorded very well, sound a little fake around the 16th note resolution. Perhaps using this as a starting rhythm and adding a few percussive layers on top might help add a more human element.

+Grimly Great comment, I do agree, and in a solo you can hear it if you have good audio nerd ears haha. However, for me personally I only use shakers as a background instrument so this library will do the trick for me. Also love having everything in one place do you mix and blend as I choose. :)
Ooooh okay that's a good point. It is background so its not entirely necessary. This is the stuff I nitpick over haha.

hey brother, I was actually the percussionist that recorded all the shakes (not the strikes lol). We actually captured very long samples for the shakes. We tried to go longer, but unfortunately, to capture the "human element" meant putting up with the fact that, I can only shake continuously for so long haha. I def agree that when isolated, SOME can sound looped. But, I hope you enjoy the product, as I do :D

The lack of mic placements seems like a deal breaker for me. It sounds very upfront and the reverb can only do so much
