You can for instance grab the kick and snare pattern of one midi track in EzDrummer and put it to the battery track. Then do the same for a hihat or toms later based on anoter pattern.

How did you move the Session Percussionist groove into your DAW track? Somehow I'm not seeing how I can drag it or copy into a PT track. Appreciate any tips.
@@experience_music but what if you want to put that pattern on another track with another plugin? Is that possible? All I see being recorded is me hitting and holding these keys (c1, c2 etc)
Will this VST ever have a midi drag n drop? As I understand it we can only create loops that are triggered by midi notes. Not really sure what the point of the app is if that is the case. If I have to play the patterns myself, I only need one shot samples which are much cheaper then this VST. EDIT: I just realized, like an idiot, what the Session series are; the VST's are not really for creating music, rather to have "somebody" to play with while you create music. Still, would love a drag n drop midi function.
sounds great, and great features....very cool stuff! hopefully some changes that could be implemented down the line are different time signatures and the ability to extract midi so it can be put on a DAW instrument track. easier to work(for me, and others) if you can see the midi in relation to the song form rather than within a separate entity(plug in or other software/apps)
came real close to buying this, but looked at the manual and there's no mention of time signature other than to point out the grid is two bars of 4/4. One could probably use the 8th note pentuplets and effect some 5, crossing the bar etc but this limitation is too hard for me.
The manual have a section about editing the grid. It have the following note, does it help?: "The available step lengths are: triplet 8th note, 16th note (default length), triplet 16th note, 32th note, quintuplet 8th note, and septuplet 8th note."
@@mattiasboden2329 No, because that's independent of time signature lol - personally, idc - most music is in 4/4 but I still find it odd that they don't have that feature...
Any time signature is possible, for example 5/8th, 7/8th, 3/4, 11/16th, anything you could think of: Example 1: 7/8th signature: Use the default 16th grid and move the right locator from its default 32nd (=8*4) step to the 28th (=7*4) step. If you do this for all 25 players' keys, then your whole ensemble will play in the 7/8th signature. Example 2: Let's create a ternary 3/4 signature, each quarter divided by three 8th note triplets: In this case, set the fundamental grid to 8th note triplets and move the right locator from its default 24th (=8*3) step to the 18th (=6*3) step.
I bought it and I love it. But i'm using it to score a video and I having the posibility to drag midi to the piano roll in my daw would surely be beneficial. Do you think you can add that feature in an update?

Listening to this on my phone speakers across UA-cam sounds terrible but on my studio monitors I'm sure it sounds awesome. Just like I would select a trumpet sound via MIDI and Kontakt would play the trumpet. No need for any further replies, I have figured it out. Thank you for the reply though.
Example: Let's say you want an alternating 7/8 and 3/4 signature. Then for all 25 pattern keys, you set the right locator from position 32 to position 26, because 7/8 + 3/4 = 14/16 + 12/16 = 26/16 = 26 sixteenth notes total pattern length. Then after two bars, the next onset will be in sync again. Then you might also want to select all positions 17 to 32, and then ALT+click the 15th step in the step strip (with the circles) to shift the beginning of the original second bar to the beginning of the new second bar. Now, each bar (7/8 and 3/4) has its original onset note events from the original patterns.
Each pattern is triggered by one single midi note and will run automatically as long as that midi note is held. This midi note needs to be drawn by mouse or recorded via keyboard into your DAW.
