- Flipping furniture?! You buy or acquire an undervalued piece of furniture and you resell it for a profit. This is an insanely lucrative side hustle and it's a lot of fun. I've gone a little crazy and I have found so many items to resell! In this video I show you all of the furniture I sold recently and tell you how much I made after my costs of goods. I think it's impressive!

I was just watching a video on a page called Know Can Do. Instead of cutting the skirt she folds it towards the bottom, glue guns, staples and cuts the excess fabric from the skirt. Seems like a better idea so you don’t have to worry about the difference in color or the holes from the staples!! I’m definitely going to start this weekend! Love your enthusiasm ❤️
The tAan chair with red mark, if you think it may be ink, it cleans up really good with rubbing alcohol.
I love your transparency! Thanks for sharing!
i hope you keep posting these types of videos! i've always been super interested in trying furniture flipping and it's nice to see someone just getting started with it
That’s the plan! 😊
Awesome, I'm excited you've found a new hustle - this (and your other video about the table) were fun to watch! I've been flipping clothes for a while now, just for a little extra cash. Furniture has great returns but seems like way too much work for me! The Goodwill bins in Denver are awesome for finding stuff to resell. Good luck and keep more videos coming!
Thanks! Are you talking about the Goodwill Outlets? Those places are insanity. I've tried to go twice and I walked out because I was overwhelmed. lol
@@StephOnThePedal yes, the Goodwill Outlets aka the Bins! They're definitely not for the faint hearted, but there are incredible deals to be found if you can withstand the insanity!
Good Job Steph! ! I Hustle vintage Goods myself.
Awesome! Maybe I’m late to the party.
Instead of ripping off the skirt you can tuck it underneath and staple and then trim the excess fabric off! 👌🏻
Hmm... not a bad idea! I’ll have to play with that next time I get a chair.
Love this concept Steph! Furnished my entire apt off Marketplace. Such a great resource. Nice side hustle!
Thank you! Marketplace is great! I keep finding things for myself as I’m selling. It’s kind of dangerous. Haha!
@@StephOnThePedal and thats why Im a tad apprehensive to start! There is so many cool things out there! Cant wait for your next cache of furniture goodies!
love your hursle, from uber to furniture flipping. i moved away from uber myself.
Thanks! I’m definitely having more fun with this than I did with Uber. Lol
Hey Steph! It looks like you found your new hustle! I’d keep it up if I were you. Interesting addition to the channel.
It’s been pretty good to me! I do plan to keep going. Thanks!
Ok I am going to start this asap!
Do it!!
Love your content. I do Postmates in Nashville too. I love it. It's so much fun.
I love it!
Do you still do Postmates?
@@relicdigger777 No! The Postmates video I have is all of the Postmates I’ve ever done. Lol.
What platform do you use/recommend to sell your furniture?
Your. Home looks so cute love it
Awe thanks!
I literally gasped when you said you got that velvet chair for $7!?!?!
Haha! Right?!
Stephen u r crazy awesome
I'm going to sub just because your in Denver. XD
Whoo hoo! Thanks!
Hi, where do you sell your flipped furniture at?
Facebook Marketplace and Offer up!
Not throwing shade, appreciate the enthusiasm and work you do but be very careful about bringing in vermin with used stuff, e.g. bedbugs. It happens with something as simple as library books -- in the spine. I work in pest control and see it a lot. Take care, beware
Oh I totally get it! I’m terrified of bed bugs!
@@StephOnThePedal good to know, thanks for all the Insta info btw. 👍
I was helping ppl eat on christmas evening via uber eats. Now what!? MAD TIPS!
Steph ur crazy Wesome
How can I find you on offeeup or marketplace?
It’s probably best if I don’t share that info online. Haha.
Please help me what I should sell things how would u would sell them
I'm here to help! :)
Hey Steph! Just found your channel and subbed! I am also into flipping stuff/trading. It's been super fun! What have you had the best luck trading with so far?
Oh nice! The trading concept is super cool. I'm only flipping right now. I haven't thought about trading. Good luck!
@@StephOnThePedal gotcha! What has been your favourite thing to flip then??
Where are you finding all your furniture?
I find most of it at thrift stores and I'm always looking for free stuff online. I'm definitely planning to make a video with more detail about how I'm finding stuff.
@@StephOnThePedal im here in Denver and im sooo sad i didnt see these items i wanted the table and green chairs
Oh nice! That table was amazing! Facebook Marketplace!
you need to get a back drop and stage your furniture:)
I kind of disagree. I think it’s better to style it so that people can envision it in their own space.
Why did you think the Craig’s List guy was a scammer?
Hi A.E., "mission side hustle" is a youtuber that dedicated himself to flipping furniture down here in clearwater Florida, not to far from me. He makes a killing, Check him out if you really want to learn the ins and outs. You doing great, keep it up
I’ve seen his videos! He is great!
...wtf? Ppl in this town won't even give $100 for a set of tires! hmm...
You need to clean things up (i.e. the beige office chair take the red spot off). There's a husband/wife team that flips furniture (Jamie and Sarah) you'll learn a lot from them. Ripping skirts off chairs if you use vise grips it comes off neatly. Also, the cane rocker is actually called a Bentwood Rocker that was popular in the 70's.
I’ve seen their channel. They are great! I also tried to remove the red stain and it was not budging.
Careful that's a slippery slope. I met this crazy ass old woman
who ended up filling up 5 big ass houses full of furniture and shit
hahah she got to where she couldn't even manage it. You couldn't even
walk in none of the houses! So yeah looks like
you've slipped into the estate business. Watch out! lol
lol... I'm already considering a storage unit. I would never keep that much stuff around my house.
@@StephOnThePedal You're better off buying a big ass cheap van because you could sell the van, keep all the stuff near you as a sort of "delivery fee" thing, with this plandemic, more people are living in storage sheds, thus enabling them more time to steal your stuff. Can't sell 'the space' to get your money back. Plus you could probably do a tax write-off on the van.
Also, if you're using a 200sq ft space or higher (calculated based on size of home), you could have that space inside your home tax-deducted.
Now do this right, don't learn as you go! $
I personally think you should just do 1-2 items at a time, for repairs and not
to be overwhelmed, the hustle only kicks in when you just want to jack up the price
literally picking it up and setting up a sale arrangement, and selling as is. I suppose you could use the RDX (a/c?) as a buffer for space, buuuuuut I guess you're doing that already.
You're going to kill your profit margin with a shit-unit because by the time you file your taxes, you would have worked for basically nothing!
Oh yeah you are charging way too low. The person who bought the table for $50 will prob sell it for $200 or so. You probably got your groove by now. It’s all about trial and error in the beginning :)
