I know it says you aren't allowed to do it with someone else unless they are in instant cart shopper as well. But what if they are just in the car with you and don't go in the store or help deliver is that allowed?
Instacart doesn't care about us. It's sad really.

Great video and advice. If the app doesn't have me take a picture, I always time stamp a picture for my records. In my area, we are taking pictures of every receipt in all accounts now. Another big reason shoppers are getting deactivated is cancellations. Don't cancel an order unless you absoulutly have to

I was close to canceling a batch that I had already bought groceries for bc the travel time said 2 hours and I was not able to go that far within the time limit 😭 thankfully it was just my phone acting up

hi not sure when the app was updated but recently instacart has the option to take pictures of items being delivered to their doorstep, should that be automatically saved into instacart's history or should we still download timestamp ?
Husband and wife can shop together if there both active instacart shoppers but the person who accepted the batch must be present and helping when dropping off the groceries. I have already been accused of not delivering and heres why a couple of my customers grabbed the groceries and took into there house before I could take a photo for proof so I only sent a photo of there address. Since the groceries were not in the photo I had no proof. Instacart will not tell you who your accuser is thats why you must send proof through the chat feature and timestamped to prove when this photo took place. The customers house or apartment number and groceries need to be sent unless the customer has a alcohol delivery where you must scan there ID which would prove you delivered.

If I wear a jacket or a piece of clothing that I made and it has my label on it and one of my instacart Shoppers asked me about it can I get in trouble for using my own label in my own name on my bags and my jackets

I have had numerous encounters with instacart shoppers shopping with a partner...and they are still doing it. Its been about 6 months that this has been happening in my area.. I've even had conversations with these shoppers...even when customers have put notes on the there orders stating they only want one person delivering there order and instacart know this because I've mentioned it to them . The shoppers are still active and working daily in my area...

They do call, but it’s always been while having an active chat and also one time when I mixed my 2 orders up at the wrong addresses, and IC called me literally right after I left the 2nd order, than I had to run up and snatch it back up 🤣😂😭🤦🏻♀️ thank god for that call 💪🏽 but having to basically start the whole delivery process AGAIN, SUCKED!!! 😬🥴

Yes, the mayority of times, we do call our Shoppers, when guest calls in, indicating that just received a wrong order.

I have a question. If you make a replacement for an item while shopping and then the customer decides they don't want that item anymore or the replacement how do you remove it?

I was deactivated for using a 3rd party software. This was not the case, i had an issue with the app freezing up on me, had to force close the app 3 times and tried resigning in and nothing. Tried signing in with my wife's phone number, same thing. 5 minutes later get an email stating there is suspicious activity on my account and to. sign in with password. Disregarded email. Wife and I both got deactivated that night, a week later she got reactivated and I'm still Deactivated. Can Kover help me
I feel like they can definitely help in your situation. They can't guarantee your reactivation. However, I feel like it's not a risk because their memberships are so affordable.

I think it's Noones business who's in the car with you as long as the groceries are delivered. Also, I've been doing this since 2019 and instacart always required pics but now they dont.I began to take a pic of the house with the groceries on the messages because there was this one shopper who said that I never delivered their groceries which is definitely a lie. Why would I Jeopardize my hustle. So now I cover myself at all times.
I saw a couple that were both instacart shoppers, but they were both doing working their orders, I don't know if they had 2 different vehicles or not. Looked like they were possibly helping each other (I am not sure) does this seem more legitimate to do?
Yes, especially when they habe two or three orders in one service.
There is absolutely no way that I would deliver anything to anyone without taking a photo of a delivery or a signature of the delivery at the door. One of these signature delivery books cost a few dollars. Amazon, UPS, even USPS also take photos of your items and where they were placed if they weren't handed to them at the door. The mileage tracker is also on almost every one of these account's for the delivery which doesn't prove you actually did give them to the person there as there are plenty of thieves out there who will take advantage of people or steal people's things off their porch.

I lost my phone do u have customer care to let them know about this my husband's phone is the only access I have but I want my new phone up and running before I start my gig work again I still have cards.Also because I gave emergency information with applications and background checks my husband's phone now has all indicate shoppers app doors delivery app a and now also shipt shoppers App as well too. I think it is bcuz of the background checks also now too we are moving so I wanna get all this done first before shopping and doing gig work again. Should be real soon and before this month is up for sure ...I dint want to get deactivated by not be active and moving on app because I love gig work and so have classes and graduated and taking state board s for pharmacy thAt is whAt I wanro

Just FYI, shopper support does ask me for my email address and phone number almost every time I contact them. Never the password. And obviously I would not give out any of that info to someone contacting me unsolicited via phone, text, whatever.

They factor in tips and IC pay when calculating their percentages. 😊

My wife is an Instacarter. I often tag along just to help out, drive her around or just spend time together. Had no idea that would be against the rules. Really?!
I’ve done the same. I honestly think instacart isn’t going to know unless someone tattles... it’s also a dumb reason to get deactivated 😂 as a little help never hurt nobody.

I do shipt mainly an just started doing instacart. Already had someone claim they didnt get their entire order. Cannot dispute it either followed the steps or tried to in their help section. Their chat wasnt helpful unfortunately. I have an email out probably to the wrong email section but hoping to get somewhere. I have google maps and it saves everywhere i go and has a time stamp for being there. Maybe their app isnt letting me dispute because i havent done 30 batches yet but to me that doesnt matter cause someone shouldnt be allowed to lie like that and get away with it.
These gig companies almost always side with customers unless you have some sort of proof which isn’t easy to have at times. It doesn’t matter what company you’re working for they all suck when it comes to defending yourself

I was called by Instacart when a batch I had just accepted called IC to give me info on custom cake order pick up info. They needed to patch me thru to customer🤷♀️Only happened to me one time.

I didnt have my card information entered right the first weeks I was doing instacart so when they would put the money from my instacart to my bank account on Mondays I never recieved that money. I never noticed until a couple weeks later and I literally never recieved $600. I told the representative the exact amount and everything and the next day they take out the money I claimed I never recieved out of my checking account. So I had entered my Bank account number wrong but I had my debit card on there right so they took the money out from there WHICH WHY DO YOU TAKE 600 DOLLARS FROM THE SHOPPERS ACCOUNT WHEN THEY REACH OUT TO TELL YOU THAT THEY NEVER RECIEVED IT!?! so now I've been 600 dollars in debt with chase for 6 months and ignoring all there calls (: thanks instacart
I’ve been deactivated by Ubereats and door-dash and neither one gave me an opportunity to appeal other than an email that stated this matter is final and good luck. Uber accused me of accepting deliveries and customers not receiving their order multiple times. My ratings were great and no customer complaints plus you would think I’d get a call from Uber asking where’s the customers food. So they accuse me of stealing orders but only deactivate my delivery Ubereats not my Uberx to accept passengers. Door-dash just said I broke the TOS but wouldn’t tell me what one. Again good ratings and poof I’m fired lol. Not really funny though. I’m an older gent and worked as a tradesman for over 3 decades and never got fired one time. These are mostly young snobs who run these companies and they have no morals or integrity, that’s for sure

Oh! The photo you take is for IC. You can protect yourself additionally by taking a photo for your records.
I was deactivated for using profanity? Customer service representative lied and said I used profanity. Instacart is extremely bias and they make up things about the independent contractor. Steph must not shop. I had hundreds of shops, and they called me many times. I really want my account back so I can do: $7.00 shops, be accused of using profanity, stealing, and non delivery. I would rather work for Postmates. At deactivation my rating was 4.98.
I feel like you roll the dice every time you interact with a support rep. Some are competent but some don't have the experience and/or training to handle a situation properly.
The chats, emails and calls are always recorded so if you didn't really use profanity then you can tell them that, to review the chat or however you talked to that representative.
Cesar Castro you would think so right? If a mistake is made though, you will have extreme trouble ever reaching a human again. If they deactivate you even for a mistake on their end you no longer have access to the help chat or can call any numbers, the one email you are “allowed” to inquire to (trust and safety) only sends automatic responses and won’t look at any clear evidence of appeal. It’s a nightmare. I was assured in chat that I was making no mistakes before delivery and was still deactivated. I showed screenshots, gave the customer/witness phone number and statement, pictures... none of it matters.
I have had instances where the customer or the app messed up and they wouldn't believe me. I sent them a screenshot of the item they wanted.
Also sometimes the picture in the app doesn't match the description of the item do I always screenshot it and ask them to let me know Which item they actually wanted, but funny enough I still got de-activated.
Sometimes they reply while they don't sometimes, if they don't I just scan both of the item that the app is confused about and see if it takes any and if not I issues a refund. Cause I have no clues which items it is but I'm grateful to have met *spiketechs* via lnsta for an job well done.

I feel like I’m more in the know with IC’s issues over other gigs but that may be true. They also had a huge jump in business with Covid, maybe more so than other platforms. I’m thinking they didn’t have the infrastructure set up to handle it.

Anyone else have trouble with navigation? Yesterday my navigation took me to wrong address. Almost canceled order contacted instacart. Said I would have to take back to store. Awful mess. Luckily the neighbor came out and saw me sitting on back end of my suv and asked if I was delivering a order. I said is this Carol's house? They said yes that's my mom. Now they also said they have this issue a lot with deliveries always sending to neighbors. I was worried i would get in trouble for this. Not my fault I was at address navigation took me to. Just really stressful!
Sometimes the navigation takes you to a different place because of the way the customer has the address written on the order. To make sure I usually recommend checking the address in Google Maps just to confirm lol

I got deactivated for no reason at all I have proof I delivered an order photographic evidence and I still got deactivated. Maybe I need to be an asshole and get someone else fired. I'm tired of being a nice person and getting screwed. I fucking hate humidity of today.

I dont care when they come with kids, its hard to work extra when you have them but I didn't like when a man had his 10 year old bringing my food up to my apartment. He went to the wrong apartment but I always stand in the hall waiting so I told him one more floor up.

Chances are you’d probably be fine but I’ve heard some shoppers intentionally report other shoppers to try and get people out of their area.
