MTHFR seems like could be playing a role in the inability to breakdown carbohydrates molecules into proper number of ATP molecules and the remainder being stored as lipid molecules.
There are smaller amounts of fructose in whole fruits than sugar of corn syrup. Everyone's carb tolerance will be different and if you can time your fruit around exercise when your muscles can use the energy right away that's preferred. We also suggest having the fruit at the end of a meal that has protein/fat as opposed to alone to lower the glucose response.
Yes, especially ALT. Dr. Peter Attia's book Outlive does a good job explaining these liver enzymes. Metabolical by Dr. Robert Lustic and Why We Get Sick by Dr. Ben Bikman are also good.

????Do I have a bigger tummy because of the NAFL or DID the fat tummy cause the NAFL. I don't eat out much or badly, could it be caused my something else. I'm, 58 yrs 5'2' weigh 149 lbs
Same question! No alcohol, no sweet drinks, high protein and very moderate chocolate consumption. I don't even eat fruit! I added exercises but I'm still not loosing any weight. This truly becomes a cycle when I tell my doctor that I can't loose weight... but I have to loose weight to fix the liver. For me, it started during pregnancy and nursing and never got better.
Hello doctor , I had problem of indigestion about a month ago, stomach was not getting cleared along with vomiting, then I got LFT done and found out non-alcohol disease, then I am constantly having gas in the stomach, heaviness in the lift side of chest specially left breast , feels like something stuck or swelled. Is this heart problem?
Hey. Can I ask you a question. I have Steatosis grade 3 fatty liver with a DB/M of 328. But my kpa score is 2.3 giving me a Fibrosis score of 0-1. Am I still screwed or is this semi good news? I am not overweight but I did have high cholesterol up to about 8 months ago (really really really high). It is now much lower. But why hasn’t the fatty liver score gone down? How long does it take? It’s hard to get an appointment with the doc so I am reaching out here for advice. Thanks!
Planet Ayurveda’s Yakrit Plihantak Churna has been amazing for my fatty liver. My liver enzymes improved significantly, and my symptoms like fatigue and sluggishness have vanished. Highly recommend it!
Great Video! This is very informative. If I could add some tips too... A Mediterranean-style diet is the most effective approach for managing fatty liver disease. Focus on consuming fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats like olive oil (up to 3 tablespoons daily). Coffee consumption, up to three cups per day, has shown significant benefits for liver health. Include omega-3 rich foods like salmon and sardines at least twice weekly. Avoid processed foods, sugary beverages, and saturated fats. Weight loss of just 3-5% can significantly reduce liver fat. Regular exercise, combined with these dietary changes, is crucial for reversing fatty liver disease. For more health and wellness topics, check out our channel. We have a new video up every Friday!
This is not true. Fatty liver is caused by eating too many calories accompanied by saturated fat. Fructose is turned into glucose by the liver unless you are in a calorie surplus. This is not true for alcohol because the liver treats it as a toxin and prioritizes turning it into a fat to protect you. This does NOT happen with fructose! Trace analysis studies show that almost ALL of the fat in a fatty liver comes from the saturated fat you eat. The notion that fructose comes from fatty liver comes from a study using MICE. There are other mouse studies that when mice are not in a calorie surplus they do not get a fatty liver.
