Yeah all this i know beyond. But only issue i always had is after this my data log has a problem showing my speedo afterwards. Still have the mpvi1 currently.
Bought a gmc Savana 2018 for work. It came with a speed limiter and it is only up to 70mph. Chevy says it can’t be removed because it is linked with VIN. That sucks! Any idea if there is any way to remove that??

My source is set to GMLAN with a factory speed limit set to 135. Fuel seems to cut at 111. Is my issue that I need to set it to "Calibration" ?

It's completely ridiculous there's a limiter on how fast you can go. I just want it set to the max . I have a 5.3 litre 4x4 and it seems like they would definitely use better drive shafts than what they're using for pulling capacity and for speed
Cost savings and warranty. The OE doesn’t care how fast you want to drive. Whatever reduces cost and keeps the vehicle out of warranty.
Can anyone give me a straight answer on why my 2015 Chevy suburban locked in at 85mph and doesn’t increase or decrease in speed Chevy dealership said it can be my key fob?
I raised these in my 06 with a 6.0 and the truck won't do better than about 112. I feel like there was a slight surge at that speed like another setting was holding it back. I looked through my torque management tables and I don't see anything speed related. Where should I be looking or what setting could be holding the truck back?

I wish I could get something like this for my 2004 Jaguar XJ8 which is currently over-restricted to 120 mph, so it can have at least a little something more on a track. The supercharged version of that car is governed to 155.
@@MuscleCarSolutions Yep, pretty limited alright. There are some out there that will support newer Jags and Mercedes from 2013-on as well as Mustangs, Camaros, Nissan Z -cars, and what not. But as far as manufactures of those programmers, I guess nobody cares about any Jags and MBs of the early 2000s. And I'm not sure if that's just me being cynical either.
Do they have a tuner for a 2020 Kenworth T680 that will either adjust or override the speed limiter?

I have a Nissan which use to govern the top speed at 108mph. I recently exchanged that blown engine for another 3.3L with 150k less miles BUT, it governs at 98-99mph. WTH..?? How did that happen(the shop that swapped the engines didnt do it), and how can I remove it altogether? thanks!

I did this. Worked for about a day. Then back to limit. I checked tune and it was changed back. Called Onstar and told them I did not want any communication with any part of my truck. Green onstar light went out. I reloaded the modified tune and it still won’t go over 98. Any ideas?

2011 GMC Sierra 4x4. 5.3. Auto. Afm has been turned off.
@@jeremyjessup9695 yup. The 4wd and AWD sometimes is one that you have to go through HPT and get some additional support on. If you email them directly with that in the subject line they can assist. Kind of an oddball one but they are away of the issue.

Did I miss something? I thought you were going to demonstrate how to increase your speed on a truck? I’m just as lost now as I was before I began my quest.
This is for if you’re already familiar with HPtuners, you’ll need to buy a tuner from HPtuners and also have a laptop to plug into the tuner. You’ll also need to buy credits to actually unlock the truck and write tunes if your truck is capable of that. Do your research because some newer trucks require you to pull the computer and send it in for a reflash, the newer the truck, the more expensive it will be to unlock. My 2015 was $100 to unlock, but my 2022 would be $600 to unlock if I wanted to. Like I said do your research before buying this because there might be cheaper options for your platform.

Yup. Lots of reasons for that. Driveshaft was just one of them. So much more fun when you can open it up a little more. ;)
Since your video I ran out to look at drive shaft and it has a 5 inch aluminum so I don't know if it still would hold together much over the 110 plus mph, let me know please if you should know..
@@stevenstair1068 I did the same. Had mine up to 120 and no issues. But it’s a little sketchy at that speed. These trucks weren’t meant to handle that. lol
My 17 Sierra Denali 6.2 I had it open all the way to 120mph well I took it to the dealer for transmission oil change and I picked up yesterday it only go 98mph

The crew cab was governed in 112MPH
I have Diablosport in the single cab

@@myquickjab2098 if you get a HP tuner even a 5.3 will do maybe 125. The drive shaft will have to be the shorter one, in other words yoy better have 4x4 if you're going over 110. My 6.2 will do 140+ easily. It hits a wall about 140 and creeps slowly but my 33 inch tires on 22s are my concern. They aren't rated for that speed and can come apart. Then its the morgue for me.
