REMEMBER! The main reason manufactures put a speed limiter on the car is due to the tires The cars come with. If they are not at least Z rated for 150 miles an hour, they could potentially blowout, so be very careful that you have good tires and make sure this is only on a race track. J. Leonardo Exactly. Most manufactures do it solely because they put cheap tires on when they sell it, which aren’t rated for high speeds. I had no idea that the speed limiter was that easy to crack, actually all you did was disable it. I thought it was put in the the first place was for engine / transmission / tire integrity and longevity. But it did seem silly that some cars are limited to 100 or even less than that. MoneyMaking D I would look into something like this. I believe honda and some others use ignition rpm to limit speed. Put in your car and it will tell you if it’s compatible. REMEMBER the main reason for speed limiters is tires. Jason Albertson yes. You'll need a programmer and where you buy it should have tune options. The best idea would be to buy the tuner and take the car in to have it dyno tuned. The email tunes will be "safe" tunes running rich and will "work" but you won't get the best performance

Ik this is old but what if you remove top speed and floor it , does it stop at a certain point or what happens
theory Eventually your car’s rate of acceleration will slow as you meet more resistance and don’t have the horsepower to overcome the drag and resistance created. You’ll top out at say 135mph, rpm nor speed will not rise as you maintain the max speed the car will do. The tires will continue to heat up and that’s where you risk a blowout, especially for tires not rated for high speeds or temperatures. You’ll also likely run out of a straight stretch of road and little bumps become big speed bumps

Reb Khosh This should work on any car, but consult with the brand’s customer service and remember your tires are likely the reason the limiter was put on the car, so make sure you have Z rated tires.
Tune refers to the parameters on the cars on board computer, which is what’s being modified
