You are so welcome .. Thank you for your time !! I was diagnosed with something a few years back and I am unable to work. I have never painted a day in my life but I was going crazy at home . I found you on youtube . The paining of the road you did . O told my husband to take me to get the stuff. It was my first painting ever and I paint almost every day now . So thank you again !! You saved my mind.... I was going crazy with nothing to do.
other fans of yours have said it and I will say it also. Your voice is so cool to listen to. And the way you articulate what you are saying is so special it makes me forget that I need to get some paintings out instead of watching videos of how to paint. I also think you have a very nice way of describing how to do things like laying down paint to cover canvas. Things like that set you apart from all the others. I look forward to seeing your next video. I do like your old look of jet black hair with the pixie cut if that is what it's called, but this is fine also.

Oh Miss Jane, I have missed you sooooo much and are thrilled to see you painting again. I love the "be brave and daring and just do it" advice as this recently was your voice in my head as I was painting a commission. So scared to do certain things but pushed on with your encouragement. Yes, yes, yes if you're afraid to use a particular brush...just pick it up and use it, see what it can do and have fun. Thanks for the wonderful painting and thanks to Vince for the beautiful story. Hope to see you soon. BTW, In your absence, I watched Stephan Bauman (several times) and like his mantra, "We don't paint objects. We paint light effects." I try to apply this philosophy when painting.
She encourage me too, to be brave and dont be fraid of mistakes in art. She teaches me to explore other possibilty that I can do. 😊

haha too funny! I have 5 indoor cats. Also there is a cat that took up residence outside a few years ago. So I'm watching your tutorial and I hear this cat meow. I got up from my chair and walked around inside the house making sure no one had gotten themselves shut in somewhere. All 5 indoor cats were accounted for so I figured all was good. Sat back down to continue to watch your video and heard a cat cry again. Although outside kitty (KiKi is what I call him) doesn't usually cry, he has done so before if he thought it was time for some food. So I grabbed some food and stepped out back where he usually hangs out. No sign of Kiki there. Came back inside and sat back down at my computer and dang if I didn't hear a cat meow again. Got up and figured I'd check out the front door. No Kiki there either. So went back out back again and called him. He came sauntering up from his napping place and it was about then that it registered with me that you had mentioned having a cats and I knew it had to have been one of your kitties I heard crying. What a dummy I am lol. Enjoying your video. I always learn something from you. Addendum: After watching the rest of the tutorial now, I just wanted to say I really enjoyed the story you read. It left me wanting to learn more about the people in the story. Well done!

So if I instead of ultra marine did a burnt orange how would that change the final picture
It would! It would give it a little more warmth. Any color you use will add a little bit of a different feel. As you start to experiment with underpaintings and see how each color impacts other colors, you'll automatically start to gravitate towards certain colors because you'll be able to predict their outcome. It's really a fun and exciting thing to experiment with!!
