I feel you. I love Halo 4 i think its story about chief and cortanas relationship is awesome and gives a lot to the character John-117. Sadly Halo 5 is the true black sheep of the series its execution is lacking and just imo hard to follow story wise somewhat. Luckily its probably the most fun Halo to play and has some cool stuff with spartans. Halo infinite thankfully is written actually pretty good so i wouldnt be to miffed at H5 we all were when it came out lol. for future reference if you get to halo infinite you will probably wanna watch Halo wars/Halowars2 cinematics to get some background info.
And by the way Halsy is considered a war criminal because she kidnapped allot kids and replaced them with clones that would made to die in a few weeks to cover up the kidnapping these kids then went through tough military training through drills some children even died during these then they were given many chemicals time things in there body to make them faster stronger and more reactive this way how ever too much and killed more then half of the the Kids that were kidnapped one of the survivors was John 117 most commonly none as the Master Chief that's why Halsey considered a big war criminal
