I’m a veteran crocheter and this is the best bucket hat instructions I’ve found! I made my hat with cotton yarn and used the J hook as suggested and it turned out perfect. Thank you!
I’ve been crocheting for about 5 months now. This is my first hat and this is the first video that was easy to follow and you actually went through everything thoroughly.
I keep messing up with row 3. I should do 1 hdc then 2 hbc for 27 stitches but I end up with 34 stitches...I’ve redone it like 10 times and cant figure out what I’m doing wrong. My row 2 is 18 stitches so I just don’t get it 🤦🏻♀️
just made this in a few hours and it came out so cute! had to increase the amount of rows on the crown as I used very fine wool but it still worked perfectly. I have sent this pattern to some friends to follow too as it was so cute!! going to check out your other vids for sure 🦝
I just made my first hat 😭♥️ thank you! This was by far the most useful, easy to understand video I found!
Confusing unfortunately
im lost, in the video i believe you stop increasing on row 7 but the written instructions the increase does not stop til row 12
Is this supposed to be a baby or toddler bucket hat? It seems a bit small and I’m super confused on why it seems so small I’m on row 9.
A j hook is 6 mm but i notice this yarn calls for 5.5 mm. I'm wondering if there's a reason for the larger hook? My yarn calls for 5mm so I'm thinking 5.5. Thoughts?
Well, I may of gained or lost a stitch in the process, but I finished this hat. It taught me a lot, because I never really know where to put the slip stitch, sometimes it’s right and sometimes it’s wrong. I also get lost with counting the increase stitches. Anyhow, I only started for the first time in my life to crochet six weeks ago, I will definitely be trying this again and I’ll wear the hat I just made. Thanks so much for a great tutorial, I had to replay quite a few times when starting the next round, my dream was to make a bucket hat. Next hat will be even better.. ❤
That colorful bucket hat is adorable.
Thank you so much for making this video!Kept on scrolling and scrolling through videos for beginners and this one is the only one that helped!
