- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- This Bucket hat is so quick and easy not to mention fun to make. I used the Granny stitch starting with a granny cluster circle and constructed the bucket hat from there.
Supplies needed #4 cotton yarn 1 solid and 1 print/variegated
a 5 mm hook and scissors.

PassionKnit Kelsie sent me here 💛 I’m so excited to make my first hat!!
Ps. I now need to see a bucket hat for Toby! 😆 He’s precious 😭
Toby would look great in his own hat!
🌟for anyone that ended up too small after row 5🌟mine only made it to 4.5 inches at row 5. for row 6 and 7 I repeated rows 4 and 5. ended up at 6.25 inches
thank you!!! was just looking for this info ❤
Thank you, I’m going to have to start over bc with the instructions mine fits my 1 year old granddaughter 🥰but it looks cute on her. So for an adult size I’ll have to more rows. Thanks so much
Thank you so much
I did the same amount of rows and switched to a 5.75mm hook and it turned out perfect!! ❤
Thanks I was wandering what to do to make it bigger ❤
I'm literally just a teenager who loves doing hobbies that "old" people mostly do. I'm an old soul, and I just appreciate these elder people who are kind enough to share their work, and it just kinda make my heart warm:) Thank you for the pattern btw!
Right on!
I started crocheting when I was around 8 or 9 years old. Nobody taught me. Just looking at mommas around.
Don't worry, you are just more visioner than girls on your age ❤
Get over yourself jeez
I started crocheting at 10ths old. I’m forever grateful to my “elder” neighbor who taught me😂🥰
Here from PassioKnit Kelsie's vlog. I just finished my bucket hat! looks adorable on my daughter. Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial!
You're welcome! 🥰
Finished. Thank you very much. Loved it.

"Toby, you're a menace" had me cracking up. I hope he's grown up to be a good boy!
He has grown into a great cat!
Thanks for the pattern! Kelsie sent me here ❤
"And so it begins" sighs. Cute cat😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
I’ve made 5 of these so far, making small amendments each time to get the right size. I’m a tight crocheter, and on the hat I am making now I am using a 7mm hook and it looks like it will be a perfect fit. I definitely recommend sizing up a hook size or two, rather than adding more increase rounds so it keeps the same shape. Amazing tutorial, thank you!!!
I busted up laughing when "Toby" the cat jumped up there and she just sighed and said, "And so it begins."🤣 I can relate! My cat can ignore me all day, but when i sit down to crochet she is all over me, and the yarn, and the hook, pattern, you name it. Anyway Toby was hilarious. But great instructions, i liked and subscribed.
You're speaking the truth. They are like the neediest little things when you want to crochet!
😂
😊
He wants to learn how to crochet
Found you from PassioKnit Kelsie’s channel. Love this hat making it now. Kelsie alternated 2 colors and it turned out so cute! Thanks for the tutorial.
Awesome! Thank you!
I use my left over yarn, sizes 2 and 3. Using 5mm hook. Made 6 inches on 5th row.
Your instruction is amazing. I am a newbie, but I can understand even without written stitch count. WITHOUT STITCH MARKER!! And no dizzy counting! Just flowing. haha it is new to me.
Looking at your hand working makes me feel crocheting is that easy and relaxing. Give me confidence I can do it till finish.
I made my own, cute three color yarn. Fit my head so well. Love it so much.
Thank you thank you thank you .
A bunch of love,
From Indonesia ❤
Just sub thanks to PassionKnit Kelsie. Awesome project. Thanks for giving such easy instruction ❤❤❤
Thanks for subbing!
literally me too
😂😂 I put this video on my list of crochet tutorial to watch since last year 😂 but yesterday PassionKnit Kelsie reminded me to watch it and I'm here.
😊😊this is a great tutorial thank you ❤❤❤
Me too! I’ve almost finished first hat and your instruction is great down to the measuring the crown for a little swatch check 👍🏻❤️😘
Was recommended by Passioknit Kelsie and I came to check it out
best tutorial, Ive tried following other supposedly "easy/fast" etc bucket crochet hats of all the millions YOURS IS THE MOST EASY, FAST, CLEAR AND CONCISE!!!! THANK YOU!!! btw the hats look great on you, Lavender is your colour, Toby is cute even when he's annoying.
Wow, thank you!
Came here from PassioKnit's video, subscribed the moment Toby attacked the yarn in the beginning 😅 great tutorial, thank you!
Me too 1:57 2:00

Passionknit Kelsie sent me here as well!!!!! I love the kitten , adorable 😊
Thanks for coming
Look how little Toby was. Thank you Robin, the best bucket hat tutorial I have tried. This is the one I will be making from now on.
Thanks! Toby was so cute when he was little 😍
Thank you very much for this❤❤ video it's very easy to do. I just made one and it turned super beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Appreciate you video 😁😁😁
It would be great if you could tell us how to increase to make the base up to atleast 6 to 7 inches
mine only made it to 4.5 inches at row 5. for row 6 and 7 I repeated rows 4 and 5. ended up at 6.25 inches
This is one of the easiest hats I have ever seen. I love it. Toby is adorable and a yarn lover. LOL Thank you for this tutorial.
Thank you! 😊
I have come back to this video multiple times. Absolutely love how your pattern works up.
Yay, thank you!
You are a wonderful teacher. Thankyou!
Thank you! 😃
Omg Toby is adorable!!! Thank you for this & the hat looks terrific on you!!!!
I loved how you went into detail by detail with the tutorial. It's easy to understand and you didn't skip any step that would make it complicated to comprehend. Definitely gonna try this tutorial, very beginner friendly! 😊
The hat looks super cute on you. As for Toby.... what an utterly adorable little rascal he is. I have 2 gingers, a male and a female: they're both total monsters but I wouldn't have it any other way. They're my world ❤. Thanks for the video. 😊
It’s been ages since a kitten was in the house and I don’t remember them being this feisty and active. He sure keeps me on my toes!
I went through three different granny stitch bucket hat tutorials before finding this one. I’m a beginner and all of the others glossed over vital steps that I guess they assumed were a given. Thanks for a clear tutorial that even a beginner can manage!
You are so welcome!
Ive been croheting for years but this woman explains it better than anyone ive watched
I made this hat for my husband. I added a few more increase rows and it fits him perfectly Thank you!
Great job!
Love the colors you picked. Looks great on you. Also, your kitten is adorable.
Thank you so much!
This tutorial was so fun to make (i used 5.5mm crochet hook, because i wanted my bucket hat to bigger) and i will crocheting more those hats. So HUGE THANK YOU for easy + fun tutorial i enjoyed a lot.
Thanks!
You did a GREAT JOB! The hat look good on you. It was a delight to do this hat with you. Thanks 💗
Oh thank you!
just made this hat in the span of maybe 1.5-2 hours, off and on, and omg it's the fastest little thing. so cute. I didn't change the colors I just went straight on with one color. for those wondering when you don't change the colors it uses almost the entirety of one "I love this cotton" skein when you do the one-row longer version so you only need to buy one skein for this project. Amazing, just love it.
Thanks!
Thank you for a great tutorial. It was simple easy. I made 2 and 1 day. Thanks again, turned out simply beautiful.❤❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
Just finished!! It’s soo cute and fits my head perfectly ❤❤
Wow I can’t believe this I am 53 years old omg finally a bucket hat I can make lol I will be making more🎉❤🎉
Its so Beautiful.
Thank you! You made this so easy to follow. Clear instructions and clear camera angles!! ❤ very much appreciated.
Beautiful hats they both look great on you thank you for this tutorial I made one so far it turned out great plan on making more
You are so welcome!
I really love this pattern! I added a scallop boarder on mine! Which is just 5 double crochet clusters for anyone who is wondering! I can’t wait to make more for the holidays! And I love Toby so much!
That is awesome! Toby is all grown up now and still loves my yarn!
Best bucket hat pattern...looks great🎉😊
Thankyou!❤🇦🇺
Thank you for showing us how to make this hat your a good teacher and I love you Kitten he made me smile xxx
You and your kitty are so cute, so is the hat !!
Thank you 😊
kelsie or not, this tutorial is awesome! I'm already making my second hat! thank you so much ❤
You're so welcome!
People who came here because of the crochet queen (passioknit Kelsie )
Ah my cat jumped up to play with my yarn at the same time yours did, such cuties but omg they can be a handful when crocheting
Yes they can!!
"And, so it begins." 😂 Every cat I've ever had has done that. Ignore ya all day and as soon as you start, they're there. 🤦♀️ Love the way you hid the tail at the beginning. That's how my grandma taught me. This is the first video of yours that I've watched. Gonna subscribe and watch more.
Right?! He still does it to this day!
yeah and then the yarn stinks😭😭

❤Pasionknitkelsie sent me here❤ love the pattern made it in a solid pink
I bet it turned out beautiful!
i am not making a bucket hat, but i am trying to figure out how to increase with a granny stitch, this was veryyy helpful. thank you!
These hats look soooooooo cute on you! I jope you wear them out for the summer! I followed along and made a black and grey one. I will be making more! I have plenty of yarn to get rid of lol. ❤
Same here!!
The hues ate beautiful and edible. Your tutorial is easy and relatable. Thanks 🎉so much
Won't be able to make this now coz I'm busy but watching anyway because of PassionKnit Kelsie 😊 Your videos deserve as much views as hers! ❤
SAME
Thank you so much!!
this turned out great! i tried 15 rows and it was just a *bit* too much for me but honestly an oversized hat with my oversized glasses is SO cute. thank you SO much!
I’m sorry in advance for asking a question that might already have been answered at some point. To adjust the size of the hat, without switching hook size and/or yarn weight, how could I do the increasing after row 5? Thank you 😊
You could repeat row 4 but that will make the hat very large. Try starting round 1 with 14 dc instead of 12. Then follow the steps for the rest of the rounds.
I just finished my bucket hat made out of jute string (2mm strong paired with a 5mm crochet hook) and it looks fantastic! Thank you so much for the amazing tutorial!❤️
I love this tutorial!
Glad you like it!
I love Toby and thank you very much for the pattern and especially the 7 count. It's a wonderful way to do mixed stitches.
You are so welcome!
Passioknit Kelsie brought me here
Hello cute hat thank you for sharing with us.
Passionknit Kelsie referred me to you
I finished my hat. It was the easiest hat I’ve ever made. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for sharing that little tip about counting to 7 on the increase rows. That's really smart and it helped me! :)
You're so welcome!
I found this pattern last night, I'm on hat 3 currently and I'm loving them, thank you
Glad you like them!
I have made three of these and they’re so cute! I’m bad at guessing how big to make it, but I’m learning. And I love seeing Toby. He’s adorable.
He's big now so when he wants to help crochet he covers it all! 😂
I Love Everything Granny Square. Thanks.
Me too!
This was super easy to understand and follow, I’m making a second one now! Thank you, and Toby!
Great to hear!
Just finished it and loved the look👍🏻👌 I found this account while scrolling on yt but now I’m obsessed😭😭😭
PassioKnit Kelsie sent me, too!!!
Thank you for a great tutorial!
I hope you & precious Toby are doing well❣️

you should be a hat person, as you look really nice in it. so wear it. I love hats so I am going to attempt to make one, after I finish my Christmas Stockings. thank you for the video and your time.
glad this lovely tutorial is getting the traction it deserves! do you by chance allow people to sell the things they make from this pattern? i’m obsessed and don’t need the 8 hats i’ve already made 😭
Yes you can sell your finished hats.
Thankyou for the pattern . It is easy to follow ❤
Just made your bucket hat for my niece to wear on her cruise. Thx for the quick n easy tutorial.
🥰
Sent from passioKnit Kelsie! Made first bucket hat that fit, even though I am not a hat person! So easy to follow the directions. Will make several more for my family!
Awesome! Thank you!
This was the easiest pattern ever. Thank you!❤
You’re welcome 😊
I'm almost done with my hat and I hope mine looks 1/2 as good as yours. That precious baby you have there helping you is so adorable. I have a 3 month old calico that wants to help me crochet all the time. I loved following your video. Easiest one I've found yet. Thanks.
I'm glad it's easy, sometimes we need that. Toby I'm not sure if I would call it help 😂 but he sure makes it interesting! Now Toby likes to run off with my crochet. I caught him with a hat the other day! 🤣
I love the generational support as I was sent by PassionKnit Kelsie as well ❤❤❤
I just finished mine and I love it . Love from Gambia 🇬🇲 ❤
Great pattern and very easy to follow, I enjoyed making mine. Thank you!
