At $17,000 out the door it better perform. Happy to report it’s outstanding fun. Will beat anything off the line and I’ve had mine 88mph. Worth every penny. Out of a stable of motorcycles I ride this the most. Just buy it.
Watched your review. Now I have one on order after a test ride. Couldn’t wipe the smile of my face. Good job … on your professional, yet light hearted review …
Also have one. About 5000mls with no issues until now. Also can confirm the range. I frequently do 65mls outer town (and about 85 urban, up to 110 innercity without hard pulling). And this ( 19:23 or 19:55 ) is the main reason for having purchuased it. (Even having had 60hp and 100hp ICE bikes before...)
It was a blast. I personally like it more than the Vespa even though on paper it scored less than the Vespa (simply because it’s a bit too expensive and the electric-ness decreases functionality a bit)
Just a point about single sided swing arms. They are heavier and less torsionally stiff per Kg of material used than a double sided swing arm. As that weight is partly responding to ever road bump it is a big problem for suspension. Single sided swing arms are in shaft drive bikes because the shaft housing is is already a big heavy single sided swing arm. They are in scooters because the drive casing is as big and heavy as a shaft drive housing. They are in poser bikes because they look cool. But not in sport bikes
Yo! I really want to get one of these as my first motorbike. I'm not interested in sportbikes myself, and i want a nice, fun secondary vehicle that I can charge to full relatively quickly using a standard power outlet off my solar panels. All I do on weekends is transport myself around, and maybe a friend, so a bike like this would honestly be perfect. I can park it down the side of my building and just charge it off a power outlet connected to my condo. Just sounds like a total win for me!
An interesting review with a sense of humour. Speaking of brand identification look at a typical NA Burger King restaurant and count the number of “Burger King” and “BK” signs on it. At least BMW does it in a rather subtle and classy way. Aesthetically it has that modern urban look that fits in with modern urban architecture. It is long having the same length overall as a Triumph Trident but that too is aesthetically appealing. It is a competent scooter hampered by price and its limited range but it has an attractiveness in terms of its functionality and interest. It draws attention wherever it goes and does not offend with loud in your face exhaust sounds or emissions so in an urban setting it is a stand out.
Not enough storage space for this price is outrageous. Passing the first few days with good feeling cause you look good on it will quickly turn into a "damn I wish I had more space and now I need a top case" feeling. Silence s01 build quality is way lower but pump it up with a 250$ quality seat, a 500$ new EMC suspension, and a 600$ real front fork suspension and you still are at a 8500$ ish price, with a very punchy motor. That is what I ride now everyday and I have no regret: open the trunk, and throw things in it like groceries and helmet like its a car thing, most satisfying feeling ever on a scooter. Real 100km range for way less money and as punchy as the bmw. No fancy screen like the bmw though but really... who cares after few days/weeks, you got all the info you need. Only plus is having the nav on screen directly.. but add another 40$ and you got yourself a phone holder like quadlock.. Also I can charge my battery at home conveniently... something so important for city inhabitants, considering majority of people dont have plugs in the parking of their building. I literally saw a guy pluging his electric car from his balcony all down to the street parking to charge overnight, thats how crazy some people are going electric when the infra is not there.
Man for $17,000 all the mode should be included for a scooter. I can get a Suzuki Hayabusa for almost that much money 2024 that has all the bells and whistles.
Finally you've addressed something I've been seeking an answer about. Those internal combustion support vehicles riding alongside marathon runners and even cyclists are producing pollutants that affect the breathing of the runners and cyclists. Cycling sports like Tour de France is worse.
These depreciate like a stone in the UK. A 2023 (73) plate model with a list RRP of £14.280 with 21 miles just sold for.......wait for it.....£8.45k. Ouch.
That's the norm for electric vehicles as a whole. As an emerging market with new tech coming out pretty much every month, depreciation is going to be pretty quick until things settle in a bit :D
Headlight costs extra. Standard is like any cheap scooter. Sooter riders want 11kw for cheap insurance, 100kg less weight and more storage instead of that daft looking floating seat.
Some apartment blocks do have regular household outlets - and that’s fast enough for the usage of this bike. Townhouses and units with garages are just fine
BMW “to simply charge your BMW CE 04 at a domestic socket. Thanks to the 1.9 kW charging output your scooter will charge from 0% to 80% in around four and a half hours using the five-metre long charging cable” so, you don’t need to charge it overnight anyway. If you get on well with your boss, you won’t need to charge it at home! Remember this is an urban commuter. If I bought one, id charge it every three days. If I lived in an apartment, I’d charge it at work!
Thanks! It'd be nice to see how it performs on steep hills too

Enjoy and be safe!! I had a great time on it!
Apparently parts of my video contained copyrighted music so UA-cam removed those parts😢

S tier scooter I absolutely love these but still haven’t seen one in person.
It was a blast. I personally like it more than the Vespa even though on paper it scored less than the Vespa (simply because it’s a bit too expensive and the electric-ness decreases functionality a bit)
I quite like the front half. When they get around to finishing the rest of it I might give it a look.
Not sure ifs it is in your country available. There is a fast charging option in Europe for Type 2 AC. Than it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes.
This should be modded to look like "Kanneda's Bike"
I legit want to do this! I wanna buy one, wrap one red and put the Akira stickers on it!
Its cooler than Kanedas Bike

Good explanation.
You’re a geek & I love this.

Ah yes, reviewing an electric scooter in a track suit. 10/10 best bike reviewer on the internet.
That gives me an idea! I’ll have to review the next BMW in tuxedos!
Skin across pavement does not discriminate the vehicle you fell off!

Hey Emad, your great review reminded me of Doug DeMuro and his style. Keep it up, excellent suff
Thanks for Watching! Some inspiration might have been derived from Doug’s videos :)
Excellent Stuff. Pleass dont change the style that you have as it's great 👍
@@michaelkay8454 will keep going the same direction for sure! Thanks for your support:)
Mine shows only 73 total miles when fully charged
Damn, I've got a huge head and helment so not being able to fit inside that storage space makes me sad :(
Yeah unfortunately I wear a Medium-Large and as you saw didn’t fit:( any larger and it most likely isn’t gonna fit.
You have to buy a top case
Got mine last year and googled EV motorcycle rebate, found the EPA was giving a $1,500 rebate.
That's cheap from epa .3 .000 .00 at least charging is hard to find . your stuck . I like them .
ummmm, taxpayers gave you the rebate, government produces nothing, only consumes.

Why didn't you review the 2024 model?
2024 model was not released yet when I reviewed this bike where I live.
خیلی عالی هم اجرا و هم مووورسیکلت. انشالله موفق باشی

Is this channel inspired by Doug Demuro?
Maybe

I like the seat but I wish it had some cool lights under it.
Sounds like Doug Demuro.
Star Wars speeder bike . . .
Dug demaro for scooters
15-16 k for 80 miles range 😅😅😅 will buy me nice cbr 1000 or add a little and get bmw s1000r and have much much more fun
You won't get anything like 80 miles if you ride fast.

I live in one. But I have a garage with electricity in the basement. I have an ICE bike, though.
Too friggin expensive. Very limited range. Not going to buy it even if I have the money.
You’re trying to be like Doug demuro to much. Be yourself , but awesome review.
But… that’s just how I am:(
Yeah... still lame.
Why?
