So much drama, you had it right towards the end, the BMW makes a lot of sense if you have your own solar and energy storage solution, works amazing for me and the fast charger ensures that it just takes about an hour and you are all good to go ...
This is why I've got an MX-5 for weekends and a R10k Xiaomi Scooter for my short inner city commute. That little thing is faster across the CT CBD than this BMW or even a Lambo on any day of the week (it is allowed on pavements 😎)
One of only two electric bikes I rather like. Far too expensive, though, and there's the range. Or lack of it. It is stunning looking, though. Twice the range, 2/3 the cost and I'd... well I maybe wouldn't even buy it then. Great review, Don. Edit: 12:56 Substantial top box. Good to see you, Matt. One of my favourite motorcycle channels. Nick
Its purpose is a commuter, you can quick charge, the older model had a bigger range, it goes through tires original Tyre front 2.5K in miles the rear 3K , lots of tread but gets squared off
Yea, 3 problems with those... 1) For 300k you can get 3 bikes that will go further and be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more fun when doing so! 2) You WOULD need a backup as electricity is a scarce commodity here in SA! You would need a solar panel on your helmet! 3) You can't go BRAAAAAAAAAAAP, only a very quiet zzzzzzzzzzz... I would fall asleep on one! 😂🤣 If those were perhaps around the R150k mark, it might just tickle some riders fancy as a second commuter scoot. But I still recon they would be very dangerous on the motorways in SA, especially in peak hour!
£8500 in the UK....That buys you one of the GS310/R series of bikes, helmet, clothing and gloves.Know what Id rather have.Judging by the lack of them on the road seems noone wants them....
Sales of these ridiculous fashion accessories have been very low in the UK. The price is absurd and nobody wants to insure them They have been available for two years, but I haven’t seen a single one actually on the road.
Worthless once the battery starts to degrade, oh dear, another electric vehicle, this time with two wheels, which you’d have to be crazy to buy with your own money 😩😩😩😩😩😩
You and those like you need to somehow understand that electrics are here to stay in 20 years with upgrades. because it has never been easier to change something or to be able to improve something 🎉
Nice to see you Matt
Nice to see you back on your Van with the SMT Mat 👏
Indeed, very good to see you back Mat! I miss your humoristic but factfull reviews with the right portion of sarcasm😄
If I lived in a big city I'd buy one
Good to see you Mat. That top box on the SMT is horrific though :)

Would it take a rear rack and a top box? If I were to buy it, I'd need a top box for my laptop bag.

Looks kinda like Judge Dredd’s bike 🤙🏼

....The comment about the child and i am saving the planet 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I live in Europe and don't see them on the roads. Must be that they are used only in Munich, Berlin, Paris, Rome,...
It's Paris.
Saving the planet by burning coal
The ironing board seat is dire, but then so is the price. I can't see any rational person buying one.
The gas tank gets smaller eveytime you ride. When you fill it, drain it, when hot, when cold, eat.

Be careful you don’t want to become an advertising channel
