John was the consummate musician! While he excelled on 6 string and the more difficult 12 string guitar, he also played mandolin and fiddle, and occasionally accompanied himself on the piano. Of course his most excellent instrument was his beautiful tenor voice! Oh, how he is missed!
A Wild Heart, in my opinion, definitely expresses how John felt when Annie's and his marriage ended. After his second marriage ended he wrote in his book that he really still loved still loved still loved Annie.
Ich liebe so viele Songs von John Denver... und dieses zählt auch zu meinen Favoriten. Der wunderschöne Mann ist so talentiert... und so menschlich ❤August 2024 Germany
Every time I hear him sing it further convinces me that he is an amazing singer and composer. I love his voice. I am sorry that he left us too soon but at least we have these videos to watch.
I’ve been a diehard fan, since 1971‼️ The first time I saw John, play the piano, was my last concert of him...the Fall of 1993...to celebrate my 40th birthday!!! I was SO impacted, hearing John play/sing “For You,” I literally sobbed in my seat❣️ Such memories are forever a comfort to me‼️🤗🥰
The 2 songs together prove what I've always said; John was so much better live than recorded. I don't know why he always felt he need to bring his voice down, and bring instruments up when in the studio. It's why I'm so grateful there are recorded live concerts of him and I wish they would release more. I was front row at the harbor lights one, And I thought it was one of his best performances (Which is saying a lot). I wish they would re release that, because I am missing getting a disk (1 of the reasons I haven't sold my old, Non drivable car yet is because I fear it's stuck in the CD player).
Wild Heart Looking for Home...…………...a perfect song/voice , so relaxing just before bedtime...God Bless You..RIP...John Denver...12/2/19....sigh...………..
This is one of many, many favorite songs by John Denver's awesome voice...…...He must have been thinking about his beautiful wife, Annie......Missing you everyday "JOHN DENVER".
This song is so eloquent. It's almost like poetry put to music. I saw him sing this at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles right around the time this video was made. A memory that will last a lifetime.
John's voice sends a shiver through my whole body... I'm so touched... I can't even describe it correctly. I love him SO much, God... I really wish heaven exists, because he deserves to be there.
heaven does exist. and so does God. I found that out in August 2013. I am delighted at the prospect of going to be with my Saviour Jesus, and I pray John Denver will also be there ..
I'm so thankful for these videos. Thank you so much!!! I saw John 5 times in concert!!! The first time was in south bend Indiana in the round. We were so close. Around 12 ft away!! What an awesome concert!!!!
@@lianecornils8733 This was on the Dreamland Express album, released 1985. He didn't meet Cassandra until April 86. Not about C. More than likely Annie.
What year is this please! I never knew John played the piano! There will never be another musician like John Denver, amazing man! He loved his fellow man, the environment, he is priceless!
He was so mulititalented....piano,guitar,singer,actor,humanitarian....ROMANTIC....BEAUTIFUL HEART....IF YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LISTEN TO HIM ....HIS VOICE SOOTHES YOUR HEART LIKE A TENDER CARESS......😏❤😇🙏
Respectfully, I think for John the question might have been, did he know how good we all thought he was? And how many of us would still be playing his music regularly! I remember hearing that Elvis felt that no one would remember him in, I forget if it was 10 or 20 years. So I think sometimes the greats don't realize the lasting impact they had on us. To this day I listen to JD Extremely regularly and desperately miss his concerts. They were so good for the soul!

He was really a country and westerners singer in the tradition of the old “Nashville Sound” (like Jim Reeves before him), but was such a good singer broke through to the pop charts. Like Reeves, he was another C&W singer who left us too soon (wired, they both died in airplane crashes).
This live version of Wild Heart Looking for Home is wonderful. The album version was too over produced, in my opinion. But this - a sumptuous rendition.
He got everything in life except love, will miss you Denny until death or till my last breath...13th October(him) and 31st October(Dad) always remain or remembered me as a black day in my life...
Love JD - and this is as always good - but this is not the best version of Wild Heart ]- such an intense and beautiful song - it must have been so hard to bring that emotion in to a live arena - I am greatful to relate to it
Penso que Annie foi o único amor verdadeiro de John Denver, outros relacionamentos foram fuga do sofrimento, mas que lhe trouxeram mais sofrimentos!Que triste, pobre John!😥
John Denver sang from his heart and soul...his voice, his songs still touch my heart. I'm glad his spirit still speaks through his music.
Missing John and his angelic voice. No one will ever be like him. His love of love peace and earth. Miss you John rest in peace 🙏
John Denver is pure talent. His voice is clear and unmatchable of the classy and highest quality
His songs give me comfort in a troubled world
I had forgotten how wonderful Wild Heart is. His voice at its best.
He was my favourite american singer...a clear and melodious voice, an understable pronunciation of words . Grande!
Bensaver, he was my favorite too!!! Saw him in concert 5 times! We yelled out we love you John and he yelled out I love you too! Made me cry!

What a treasure God gave us. Especially those that lived when he did. Im so blessed to have his music live on
