John always found a way to write songs about what was happening in his life. Just a very talented, well loved person. He put his whole heart and soul into this one.

Hear and feel his pain that he shared with all of his fans. I hope he found enjoyment and peace within his life experiences that helped to counter his pain. So so sad he left us at such a young g age. We missed all the he still had to create and share.

I love this song sung at the piano, this arrangement is a mess. It is played too fast, the piano and saxophone seem to be playing from a different scale. Oh dear, John you were let down badly here.
I think John was enough of a professional to set the pace he wanted. I love this version. However, him sitting at the piano singing it in the Wildlife concert 1995 is probably my favourite version.
@@jd-loveistheanswer he performed this song here in London and, I think, Birmingham UK (for TV) where he sat at the piano and, as on the album version, was perfect. Of course, performers like to mix things up a bit but this version disappointed me. Still love his music as much as ever though.
