Sure, if you're in creative, but in survival there's 0 purpose to go out and get these rare items if they don't do anything at all. Plus, it doesn't hurt to just give already existing items extra uses. Only exception is armor trims, since their entire purpose is to give players extra customization, and making players just choose the best armor trim would defeat its entire point.

Nah the rarity is a problem, most of these trims look the same, but the only trim that actually makes your armor look good is the rarest of them all 😵💫 that's dumb especially with how rare an ancient city can be for some people.
Completely disagree with giving armor trims functionality. The whole point is to let everyone customize their armor and differentiate themselves. Giving them functions will just make people go for the best one instead of expressing themselves.
I’m so happy you rated Camels so highly, i feel like many people don’t appreciate them- i do kinda wish you could put saddlebags on them, since that would be realistic, but would have the setback of only letting one person ride since it would be more like a big bag then a small chest. Maybe those still-unobtainable (except through commands) bundles could be put to use.
They look really cool but it's a shame that it's so rare, for example if you're on a server you have to go really far for them and transport them all the way back which is just a pain. Even more for bedrock players because transporting them on the nether roof is impossible in bedrock. It's also a shame that their stats can't be influenced by breeding meaning that it gets overshadowed by horses and elytra's. I also think they should at least have two camels per village, because finding two villages just to breed them is just an inconvenience. But yeah camels are also known for carrying stuff through the deserts so it's a bit ironic they don't even have an inventory unlike horses or donkeys.
@@owiedepowie Yeah, they’re not particularly fast… wait you can’t influence stats? Ig there’s pros: they’re cute, and a nice way to travel without boat, elytra, or steed, especially across vast, flat surfaces. Also they have that cool dash you can use to get across ravines, and you can ride them in water that isn’t any more then 3 blocks deep. The thing is it would bring back the same problem that it fixed if it gave buffs. The problem that it fixed was armor was different, but if they were to add that, then everybody would go back to wearing the same armor for the buffs.
Gold armor trims would make gold armor useless. Rather than use at least 4 gold ingots for protection from piglins, we get 1 gold ingot for protection from piglins. In short, gold armor trims and other armor trims, if given a small perk or advantage, would render some important and unique features useless
them adding new discs pretty regularly makes me so happy, and that you can’t just build a creeper killing farm to get them all. i love that you have to dig up relic, and put 5 together from several pieces
I wish the Sniffer had more flower varieties. Or even give us other produce, like tomatos, fruits, and other foods to give us a pseudo cooking update. Or like you said- flowers with weird potion effects.
Hey Omicron Gaming, I hope you are cool with me doing an updated version of your Best and Worst update feature Series (in German) and using some of your gameplay I gave you a Shoutout in the intro, thanks for the idea!!❤
The pitcher plant is such a cool plant that could absolutely be used for more. From a fantasy perspective it could've been used as a later trap for mobs if it grew bigger, it introducing a new acidic fluid that can be collecting or used to make an enchanted bottle of acid, or maybe attracting new, small bug mobs (like reintroducing fireflies.) Then there's torch flowers. They could've glowed, they could've been used for a napalm potion or made TNT light fires, they could've added some fire magic or just had it add fire resistance. So much could be done with the snffer and sniffer plants! Also it's hilarious that the cherry biome was added, but not cherries.
I personally love armor trims, because it opens up a lot of possibilities on competitive servers. Different color patterns on armor could indicate different teams or clans in these servers, adding to the banner features. But now that I think about it, they could give buffs to make them more useful.
Honestly this update does give diamonds a lot of utility. You see it dofferently though, you seem to think that this makes armor trim too expensive when the reality is that it just makes them more worth it, and besides, in late game minecraft you can spare diamonds. Same thing with netherite
The sniffer is so forgettable that I forgot it existed less than a week after the mob vote. In fact, in the hours of playing 1.20, not a single time have I though about the sniffer, when I play with friends in 1.20, not once do we bring it up because it's completely useless. If I am going to go out of my way to search for something rare, it's going to be netherite, not the sniffer.
Im gonna be honest, I really don't like archeology. It feels out of place in vanilla Minecraft, and doesn't offer a lot of value. I'm not mad about it, its pretty easy to ignore if you're not into it, but it was something that i was half hoping they'd cut, just because it feels too much like a mod.
They made duplicating trims so expensive because diamonds are more accessible than ever. I can get at least half a stack of diamonds with a fortune 2 pickaxe from less than 45 mins of mining and that's not even if I go underwater cave mining
Completely agree with this tierlist. So many cosmetic items and features that are ridiculously hard to get but offers little to none in survival scenarios. The Sniffer, in my opinion, is the most disappointing among all. It's the only animal mob that has LORE, but what did they do? finding two flowers that has no practicality other than looking good.

The sniffer should've been able to dig up more than 2 plants, it's actually insane that they only made 2 plants with one of them not even emitting light. Mojang fumbled the sniffer so hard.
