- So I thought this could be an awesome alternative to drones, especially as drones are illegal in my country without a special permit. Actually it worked really well but as always with camera equipment I think testing different lengths and heights is super important.

I made one of these myself using a weightlifting belt. Works great. I don’t use it too often tho. I’ve found just holding the pole in one hand easier with less bouncing.
Bro tip! Use it with a button down shirt, so you don't have to cut out a hole!

Generally when a person talks about a button-down shirt they just mean the type of shirt that you wouldn't tuck into your trousers. I'm not a tailor, this is just some random shit that I know.

I wonder if you could tune it up in post to remove the bounce. I guess if you had the camera fairly straight and had a mark on your chest where the stick was you could use that as a reference point... The lurching kinda works when it is in time with the muzak, but definitely holds it back.
thanks for this, it was perfect to show me what would be possible on my roller skates - I like to dance skate with both arms so I think using the belt will work way better than holding the selfie stick! Maybe won't look the best with my outfits, but I'll figure that out later haha

Great review, is the mount fully adjustable (meaning I can swivel it to the sides and not just linearly up and down)? Basically I want to have "drone" shots either high left or right or low left or right of my motorcycle (like from behind my leg/rear tire panning the street to behind me).

Hello everyone. I am considering this mount for sport climbing. I want a third person view option that is stable, convenient to install, not too ridiculous (lol), and not disturbing the sport. Hesitating between this, a modified version of the backpack mount, or a unicorn mount fixed backwards. What do you guys think?

@@OliBenet i got mine not very long ago and there's a lot of swaying/bouncing when rollerblading. I'd imagine riding a motorcycle shouldnt be nearly as bad though

well i think it would probably break unless you fell at a completely 90 degree angle and hit the stick/ camera at the end, probably the camera would break first... you could definately prod someone though!
