      I really like the wrist mount because it gives you a lot of options and when you get off your bike the camera is with you and right in front of you so it’s easy to carry on using it or put it on a selfie stick. There’s a hand mount version which is more stable as well. I’ll be doing another bike mount video soon.

    1:20 : Instead of mounting flat and blocking one lens, how about mounting on edge - that way no lens is sticking forward in a impact. Still not really taking advantage of the 360ness but looks less weird?
    The other way you had it mounted on the chest pointing forward you were looking at the seam of the 2 lenses so no different just closer to the chest.

    What type of stick was strong enough that you used for this? I used the best360 stick and damaged the threads inside, is the bushman has better base? (I try to use it with a super clamp and capture side views) so extended horizontally

    • @EatSleep360
      @EatSleep360  3 роки тому

      This was quite an old video so I used the standard insta360 stick. For most shots you don’t have to extend it too far. The bushman and best360 are pretty much the same.

      I actually own a best360, they even refunded me after the base was damaged due to extra stress, I emailed them to request a longer thread base that can help the super clamp attach better with stick, this was 6 months ago, so now I learned of bushman, can you know if the THREAD base should hold on the superclamp better? Thank you

    • @EatSleep360
      @EatSleep360  3 роки тому +1

      The problem is leverage - the longer the stick the more pressure on the thread - you really need a way to brace it otherwise it will be too much for any 1/4” thread

    Nice tips Richn remember folks... Don't trust your 500$ camera on some cheap pieces of plastic... Go for metal or aluminium mounts specially when used on rocky or unleveled terrain! Even on road motorcycle with a aluminium mount I broke one of the screws by tightening it too tight also it oscillates with higher speeds. The silicon protector is good but it can sometimes mess with the stitching. 🤙

    Is it possible to mount it on your helmet but rotated a quarter turn? So it is skinnier in the wind for aero purposes. Like the lenses are facing left and right rather than front and back.

    • @EatSleep360
      @EatSleep360  2 роки тому

      It is possible but you may need to get adaptor so you can adjust the connecting thread. You could even get a cage and mount it horizontally for less wind resistance. You’d see a lot more bike helmet then though but might work.

    I may have asked in another video of yours... But, could you use the compact selfie stick on a helmet with a metal attachement that won't allow it to slide as happened to you on the handle bars. I was thinking of going this route or buying two metal helmet extenders to attach to the helmet.

    • @EatSleep360

    Hi. So first of all I really enjoy your videos. Especially since this whole 360 cam market is really versatile and your reviews show the pros and the cons. I have a question about the handlebar mount with the selfie stick since this is the shot, that I want in my videos riding my bike and talking. I do Road bike climbs and weight is a big issue for me. So I use carbon fibre parts on my bike. I cannot put a mount or a clamp on my handlebar, because it might break. So I use a mount for garmin and I have a gopro mount on it. By gopro I only found the three way stick, that has a gopro mount on both ends and could not find a review how invisible the single elements are in 360. Hve you tried it? So did you use a screwdriver to fix the selfie stick, or just your fingers? which selfie sticks have a gopro mount on both ends(or an adapter possibility)? I use the MAx and thinking about buying one x2... Sorry so much questions...

    • @EatSleep360
      @EatSleep360  3 роки тому +1

      I haven’t tried the three way stick but I would think it would be tricky to keep it invisible. I use the insta360 compact selfie stick and screw it to the handlebar mount with the 1/4” thread at the base. You can convert your GoPro Max to a 1/4” thread with a converter so it will fit onto any selfie stick. If you can’t use the handlebar you could consider a wrist mount but the Max maybe too heavy for that. Most handlebar mounts slip under the weight of the camera the only one that doesn’t that I’ve tested is the manfrotto super clamp but that’s huge. Hope this helps in some way.

    • @BikeClimbShow
      @BikeClimbShow 3 роки тому

      @@EatSleep360 Alright. I will buy and test the insta 360 compact stick. I think that the invisibility of (only) one of the elements of the three way stick could possibly work. But only one element. The cool thing about it is that you don't need no adapters and you have a extension. But thanx a lot for your fast and nice answer! keep up the good work!

    Just watched this video as well as your last video on the selfie stick on the waist belt. What do you think about this: going to buy the insta 360 one R and the motorcycle bundle. I'm a mountain biker what rides rocky rooty terrain sometimes at fast speeds and I need stable footage for my videos. The bundle comes with the two helmet mounts and I can put on my helmet and ride with more stablization vs the waist belt that will bounce around. I think the helmet mount will give me that drone footage. Killian Bron uses the go pro max on the helmet cam and that 6-10 invisible stick mount. It works great on his videos. Check him out. Let me know your thoughts.

    • @EatSleep360
      @EatSleep360  4 роки тому

      Yes I like the motorbike bundle - these are the best positions on the helmet and handlebars. In my video I didn’t use an extension arm on the helmet so the shot wasn’t as good. If it’s hanging in front you’ll get shots of your face as well not just your back and top of helmet. I’ll be remaking this video soon with the one r. I’d consider buying the compact one r selfie stick as well, check out my review a couple of weeks back. Thanks for watching
