I had Been using your videos for about a year now as my only guide to boxing, until about 4 weeks ago when I joined my local boxing club. You gave me the confidence to turn up in the first place, for which I am eternally grateful
Sir; I want to thank you for your video and training tips. First I am an older guy with a really bad right knee. It is so bad, I box and fight southpaw because I move and generate speed and power so much better than traditional (not a problem as I practiced martial arts that focused on your strong side forward). I have been doing Fight Camp app for the last couple months and my highest showing on their leader board was 150. I took last week off from Fight Camp and did a bunch of your drills instead. Today was my first Fight Camp workout and I placed in the top 50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Krav Maga instructor also said my boxing and movement has drastically increased. I told and showed him your channel and he is recommending it to other students. Thank you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your feedback, really glad to be able to help. Better boxing as a southpaw with a bad right knee, less stresses go through the front knee than the rear. Thanks for taking the time to comment
I started doing drills similar to this a few months ago and have found it super valuable. Targeting specific positions helped me break down and understand the movements better. Will keep your notes in mind in addition to the ones from my coach.
Nice one Fran. Great habit for boxers to get into. Done this last night with them and you don't realise how hard they are working physically & mentally , staying switched on to keep that shape.
Thanks Jim. Interesting, I often get some of our more higher-level boxers to do this type of stuff and they can really struggle. Helps them revisit the basics and more important keep humble...they realise they always have to keep on top of their technical skills. Cheers mate, appreciate you watching and feeling comfortable using it with the boxers...big deal for me that mate👍
Hey Frank. Thanks for all the support. You should put a “donate” link so some of us can give a little back. It’s a new feature on UA-cam you may be aware of and chose not to link but these vids are great and you deserve.
@@myboxingcoach thanks coach! Happy to come on board, don't know where most of your UA-cam students are from but you got a Washington state representative💪
Hi coach, can you explain and go into detail with the long/wide range boxing guard? Also what are the benefits for it and also could you explain how to check hook? Greets from Mexico
Hi Wally. I don't do 1-2-1 sessions, too busy running the team, even without the pandemic. As it is, here in the UK I doubt I will be doing pad sessions with the boxers this year to be honest :-(
Thanks Fran, hope you are doing well mate, crazy times we are living in! I am back on it and working out every morning, going to go back through the courses again - absolute gold! Stay safe mate and thanks for all you do!
If a punch cannot be avoided with a slip, then how does a boxer evade punches? In one of your videos Fran, you said that it is almost impossible for one to avoid incoming punches by using the slip, but then I thought "How may I be able to do that now? The only tools I've got left now are the Duck, the Lay Back or a Slip Counter Punch"
Sir plzz reply, your videos on slipping and rolling with mechanism are amazing, but I have some confusion regarding these techniques Q1.Are these mechanisms are faster than waist movement because almost every boxer I have seen in the ring bend from waist ? I know it will make off balance some time but even pro boxer do it in ring Q.2 Are these slip and roll only for in and out is there is no side to side slip or roll? After this if you suggest me anything I will follow it
Can you please do viedios on mike tyson slip and other moves i know you made vedios on this but the peek a boo style has special stance with the normal stance you cant slipping is uncomfortable
If I slip in and offload my left hook, I'm exposed to my opponents own right hook which will probably hit me at that exact moment that I land mine. Is there a way around that? I have a habit of only attacking when I slip out which makes me predictable but I try avoid attacking after slipping in cos I'm gonna eat a punch 😩. Can anyone help me out? Does slip in, jab, slip out not sound better? But again I'm still gonna eat that right hook 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
I was wondering if you could do a vid on Ryan Garcia he’s fighting luke Campbell soon I believe. He’s style your opinion on him fearsome factors idk lol. Cheers.😁
No one bcoms Muhammad Ali over night.... Not even Muhammad Ali... U have to put in the efforts.... One of the best motivational lines ecer

I switched up my peekaboo slip per your advice; feels a lot less awkward
